If you have a small family-don't get the Dining plan. My family is just 1 adult and 2 kids (12 and 15) the 15year old girl eats like a bird and so do I. The biggest appetite is my 12 year old son. The last time we went to WDW, we "grazed" most days-maybe ate at 1 QS place per day for 9 days. I spent maybe $460- $500 on food the whole trip. Now going again for 8 days and looking at QSDP...its over $700 bucks added to the reservation. That's MORE than what we normally eat and pay so not worth it.
My advice to all? Get a dining plan if you're staying at one of the Resorts. And trust me, do not leave Disney without eating at the BOMA at least once. Boma is our favourite... it's many people's favourite, and for good reason. Another good place is the Coral reef restaurant. It truly is a spectacular view and the food is very good.
It's hard to go wrong when eating at Disney, every place is nice.
For a comfortable casual stop at reasonable disney prices, stop by the Studio Catering Company at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I recommend their Pressed Tuscan Deli sandwich made with turkey, ham, provolone, and pesto.
@Lex1999to2011 I'm not an expert, but we managed saving a load of cash just by ordering our meals a la carte. Just about every dining area can give you a la carte servings for a discounted price. Also take advantage of free ice water. Go up to any local snack stand in the park and ask for a cup of ice water, which they'll give to you free of charge.

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge but we ate all over the resort. The restaurants were great. My favourite was Kouzzina at Boardwalk

Glad to have seen Jiko and Sanaa on the list, but so many other great restaurants were excluded.

I love this! I didn't even KNOW of the "Coral Reef" restaurant. When I DO get to Disney World, it's going to be such a blast just eating, alone!

FYI: it's NOT a golf ball... it's SPACESHIP EARTH!!! Disney fanatics hate when people refer to it as "a giant golfball".
