@BunysCreed987 When your Oblivion charachter died in the war with the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daedra related to each equipment took their items back, because you were dead and wouldn't need them, now you've been reborn as Dovahkiin and you can get them from the Daedra/Daedric Princes again! ._.

that is not the best shield in the game...my shield is the Daedric Shield (Legendary) and has armor of 71 and is worth 3,435 gold. i have it enchanted with "Block 13% more damage with your shield". much better.

@swCPA1410 Not shabby, but far from optimal. What you want to do once you've got decent set of crafting skills (perks optional, but helpful), is to keep boosting them. Create/buy Fortify Enchanting potions for when you're enchanting expensive stuff. Enchant clothes/cheap armor with Fortify Smithing. You can now boost light and low-end heavy to 567 points (the max, 568 or more is useless, except possibly for shields) with ease. Always use Grand soulgems when crafting stuff for yourself/followers.

To get the flawless ruby. I got one from a quest where the Khajit Merchants were outside riften and the dude tells you to go get his amulet from some near by Bandit cave, it's the same cave you go in for the Skooma Operation quest in Rift to for the story line that you pick up by helping a Argonian woman in Rift by giving her a Healing Potion. Anyways the Reward that the Khajit gives you is a few gold coins and a flawless ruby. ATLEAST that's what he gave me I'm not sure if it's the same for all

Spellbreaker should be renamed to Anti-Dragon Shield (Because that is pretty much what it is!). Spellbreaker can protect you from all sorts of breath attacks and generally make even ancient dragons easy to kill. I use it whenever I see a dragon (or a magic-wielding mage [damn those cowards!]).

Flawless rubies pop up a lot in burial urns and the big urns. dungeons with a lot of Draugr are always a good place to look for jewels.

Spellbreaker is fantastic fun. It's the best way for a shield tank to to turn the tables on those damned frost throwing mages. Nice FX when it's deflecting spells as well. More of the quest artifacts should have been done this way instead of being just junior grade enchantments.

This is indeed one of the best shield in the game, once legendary it won't make much of a difference with a Daedric shield, and once you have the perk Elemental Resistance (I don't know exactly what it's called) and Spellbreaker you're pretty much invincible to magic, and since it's such a good shield, also pretty much invincible to melee-damage!

Yet another ridiculously mind blowingly broken quest. yes, it can be done. apparently just not the way i did it. On the first approach to the shrine to peryite, i made a regular save. then, approaching the khajiit guy, not one but TWO quick saves. I give ingredients, then decided i want to see what happens when i kill him before he can get to the acid bowl/whatever. well, it breaks the saves thats what happens. it works up until i try to exit convo, then all three saves are erased. gone. step1.

This shield is extremly useful against both melee and magic types... It's true that Dragon and Daedric shields will have better defense ratings but the Spellbreaker is the shield to use if you're a melee class and don't have mana to keep a ward up for more than 3 seconds, it will block most of the magic attacks if less than 50 points, wich means attacks from (median) mages and Dragons up to Frost Dragons will not affect you...

@fearlime uh... read the effect of the shield dude when you block with the shield its puts up a ward that blocks 50 points of damage and its not even refined, at legendary it would have an insane defense rating.
