Spanish Subject Pronouns Lesson 3 - Spanish Wizards

She pronounces the Spanish ll like the English J instead of the English Y. Is she doing it wrong? Or can it be done either way.

@jityr2 As a native speaker, she (Cinthia) is doing it right. What happens is that Spanish is spoken with slightly (or majorly) different accents all over the world so that's why you'll hear variations in pronunciation. It's just like how in English someone from the US pronounces words differently than someone from England or Australia. Hope that helps!

@SpanishWizards If someone from England talks to me he has a different accent but I can still understand everything he's saying. You're saying that Spanish has several accents too. If I spoke Spanish fluently but only knew one kind of Spanish accent, would I also be able to understand what all other Spanish speakers are saying in spite of the different accents?

@jityr2 Great question! Yes, if you spoke Spanish fluently you would most certainly be able to understand speakers from anywhere in the world. It would take a little extra effort the first time you hear someone from a new county, but the beauty is that it's all the same language. As you are improving your Spanish, it would be smart to begin listening to various accents to get accustomed to the differences :)

Vosotros is not used in most of the Spanish speaking countries, that is a pronoun only used in Spain. This video is very good for teaching Spanish, thank you so much
