I should have waited, I had a 2000 S-class until 2008 and sold it in the best condition, the gentleman who purchased the vehicle said to me that there was not one complaint, I then purchased a 2004 Mercedes Benz SL500 with hardly no mileage, it is a great roadster and turns heads everywhere, I do not want to sound greedy.

They're not the best cars in the world. They breakdown more than any luxury car that you can buy. Mercedes is good as long as its under warranty. Every month when it breaks down they give you a loaner so you're not left without a car.
thts so weird because we had a 2002 Merc up until recently when we traded it for a 2009 model and had no prblms with it, and I dnt hav any prblms with my '87 either...

Anyone can afford this car. It loses 80% of its value within 4-5 years. Just after 2 years you can buy one for 50% off the price. A 2001 S-class costs less than 10,000.
Why would anyone want a BMW over this? This car can't get much better. I do however find Jaguar's new XJ intriguing. And Audi is coming out with a new A8. Those three just ooze class, blending luxury, technology, and performance in one attractive package. Can't say the same for the 7 Series.

You seriously don't know what awards S class has got? Do you read any reviews or anything? Of course you don't.
People compared Infiniti FX to BMW X6. FX won. BMW made X5M and X6M. No offroad capability but just fast SUV. What good is an SUV like this? And the recent test by Motor Trend. S class has cheap interior? ROFL That clearly tells me you have never been inside either S class or 7 series.

They're not the best cars in the world. They breakdown more than any luxury car that you can buy. Mercedes is good as long as its under warranty. Every month when it breaks down they give you a loaner so you're not left without a car.

thts so weird because we had a 2002 Merc up until recently when we traded it for a 2009 model and had no prblms with it, and I dnt hav any prblms with my '87 either...

That's actually true. That's why there is always an option of Lexus LS.
But for the money you can buy, Mercedes S class is still a great car.

The 2009 model looks more sporty and less luxurious. It's not for me. I prefer 2008 S Class. Now if I could just find $100,000+...

Love the interior, love features and glad to see they fixed the tails lights. but nothings perfect unfortunately.boot gap still visable from a distance. =(

Anyone can afford this car. It loses 80% of its value within 4-5 years. Just after 2 years you can buy one for 50% off the price. A 2001 S-class costs less than 10,000.

Why would anyone want a BMW over this? This car can't get much better. I do however find Jaguar's new XJ intriguing. And Audi is coming out with a new A8. Those three just ooze class, blending luxury, technology, and performance in one attractive package. Can't say the same for the 7 Series.
