I own an american bulldog, one on the list of req. a $100,000 liability on them for being dangerous dogs where i'm from. When I saw him, I knew he was mine and I was going to take care of him and let nothing hurt him or take him away. He's 3 years old now, beautiful, smart and loving. I simply do not understand how someone could see one and think, "I'm going to put it in a box and teach it to kill, and if it doesn't kill, I will teach it through pain. so I can gain money."

I owned a pitt bull for over ten years and she died of old age I had her from before my son was born. She was very loving and protective. I don't normally like dogs but I love pitts. They like all dogs are like their owners. You can have a mean dog no matter what the breed. I have seen Jack Russell's that will tear your face off. I don't see anyone wanting to destroy that breed they just get better press. Its the stupid owners who should be put into a ring and made to fight to the death.

I have worked with pit bulls in the past and have known people that have them as pets. They can be extremely dangerous and inclined to be violent. But, only with the wrong kind of training. If untrained they tend to be mischievous and playful rather than violent. But, when well trained they are absolutely perfect family dogs.
@tina6581 - I have known 4 in my lifetime, and they have all been placid, loyal, family pets. Wanting constant attention however, stroking, walking, etc. The single, solitary reason this animal is on the dangerous dog list, is because of the damage they do on the rare occasions that they do become aggressive. Smaller dogs are statistically, far more aggressive.

this makes me sad. i had to give my pit/boxer mix up to another home because someone said that when she got out that she bit her kids. she had never bit anyone but since they were threatening to call animal control and were i live animal control puts down almost all pits / pit mixes that i gave her away.. come to find out they lied so that i would give up my dog or to get other people mad. i was young and dumb and wish i would have never givin up my baby.

I have 2 pitbulls and they are very good dogs. One of our dogs was Notorious Juan Gotti's great great grandson and the other was just a beautiful female that we ever seen. Well this video does touch our hearts so yea. If you people fool our pitbulls, let us be free for our kindnesses.

It's just wrong... how long will it be before all Pits die out and they target another breed? Pits are the victims here, they didn't choose to be train for fighting and getting clawed at and beaten because they didn't win (if they survive) it's not fair. I admit because of the time of the fighting history that Pits may need more strict training but under a careful eye and a proper handler they are truely amazing dogs. Instead of trying to rid of the problem how about trying to fix it!

The first time I was encountered by a pit bull I literally froze in place. Just to have the thing show affection to me. The owner told me that not ALL pits are vicious.

@pharyngealized I agree that small prey aggression is apparent in some pit bulls not all because it has also been bred out of them. But no pit bull is bred people aggressive. In fact they are bred to be so people oriented that during the fights people can jump in the ring and grab the dogs. And if they can not and display people aggression they are killed. They are very good people dogs and dogs in general but it is not impossible for them to be aggressive towards other animals.
Be a Responsible dog owner... Dogs Do not just become mean by there self. From neglect and being mistreated by the only person they know there owners and pack leaders.. I Absolutely love my pitbulls and they are not at all aggressive.

We save pits, my wife has a blue that she picked up from the pound after her 13 year old pit had to go down (Cancer), my male was SO sad he needed a sleeping buddy. So we picked her up. My male is 14 and doing ok but when the time comes I will search the Shelters another. It is amazing how loyal and how much love they have it is all about how you rase them. GREAT video!

I own an american bulldog, one on the list of req. a $100,000 liability on them for being dangerous dogs where i'm from. When I saw him, I knew he was mine and I was going to take care of him and let nothing hurt him or take him away. He's 3 years old now, beautiful, smart and loving. I simply do not understand how someone could see one and think, "I'm going to put it in a box and teach it to kill, and if it doesn't kill, I will teach it through pain. so I can gain money."

Pit bulls are not all aggresive, only reason why most dog attacks are pit bulls are because they are over populated and are left on there own. Also since people believe that "all" pit bulls are aggresive they abbuse them to protect them or they have dog fights to make money. I owned a pitt bull for over ten years and she died of old age I had her from before my son was born. She was very loving and protective. I don't normally like dogs but I love pitts. They like all dogs are like their owners. You can have a mean dog no matter what the breed. I have seen Jack Russell's that will tear your face off. I don't see anyone wanting to destroy that breed they just get better press. Its the stupid owners who should be put into a ring and made to fight to the death.

I have worked with pit bulls in the past and have known people that have them as pets. They can be extremely dangerous and inclined to be violent. But, only with the wrong kind of training. If untrained they tend to be mischievous and playful rather than violent. But, when well trained they are absolutely perfect family dogs.

Wanting constant attention however, stroking, walking, etc. The single, solitary reason this animal is on the dangerous dog list, is because of the damage they do on the rare occasions that they do become aggressive. Smaller dogs are statistically, far more aggressive.

this makes me sad. i had to give my pit/boxer mix up to another home because someone said that when she got out that she bit her kids. she had never bit anyone but since they were threatening to call animal control and were i live animal control puts down almost all pits / pit mixes that i gave her away.. come to find out they lied so that i would give up my dog or to get other people mad. i was young and dumb and wish i would have never givin up my baby.

It's just wrong... how long will it be before all Pits die out and they target another breed? Pits are the victims here, they didn't choose to be train for fighting and getting clawed at and beaten because they didn't win (if they survive) it's not fair. I admit because of the time of the fighting history that Pits may need more strict training but under a careful eye and a proper handler they are truely amazing dogs. Instead of trying to rid of the problem how about trying to fix it!

Fuck what anyone says, I have two awesome pits & I love them to death. All those people that critisize pits can all suck a dick. Just because the are known to attack, doesnt mean they're all like that. All they need is love and care.

@thelort100 dam you because pit bulls scored (85.3) in temperament testing better than beagles (81.0) collie (79.4) German shepherds (83.7) and golden retrievers (84.6) and many other dog breeds so if u thank pit bulls should be banned dam you you suck pit bulls are the most loyal loving pets and thay would give ther life for there owner oo and another thang Most of the time when pit bulls are mean they are raised wrong because people beat them ,starve them, fight them or neglect them

Pitbulls are one of the best breeds around, sadly the people who get a hold of many of them are the people who should of been stopped from exiting the womb. Dogs and guns dont kill people, poor training does.

i have an american stafford,even so,he's just like a pitbull and he's only 5 months old but pleople are so afraid of him.
in the park when there are little dogs the owners just pick their dogs up and leave telling me that they don't trust my dog.
my little baby has the face of a little angel,sits with my 9 months old cousin and keeps him warm and lets him kick him,my dog doesn't even move!
HE'S THE FIRST DOG I HAVE IN 2 YEARS,AND I KNOW HE'S THE BEST THERE IS! I LOVE MY AMSTAFF.

Many fail to realize that the pit-bulls and other fighting breeds are very often chosen specifically for their vicious and intimidating qualities, properties purposefully bred in.
And who do you think chooses these dogs? The very idiots who shouldn't have them in the first place, same reason they should not have guns.
The ban is not against species but against a man made breed.

@pharyngealized I agree that small prey aggression is apparent in some pit bulls not all because it has also been bred out of them. But no pit bull is bred people aggressive. In fact they are bred to be so people oriented that during the fights people can jump in the ring and grab the dogs. And if they can not and display people aggression they are killed. They are very good people dogs and dogs in general but it is not impossible for them to be aggressive towards other animals.

Be a Responsible dog owner... Dogs Do not just become mean by there self. From neglect and being mistreated by the only person they know there owners and pack leaders.. I Absolutely love my pitbulls and they are not at all aggressive.
Someone i think also has a huge positive influence in the pitbull world is ceasar "the dog whisperer" he has many pitbulls and he is one of the best.
Quit fucking fighting dogs and get a real job!!!!

We save pits, my wife has a blue that she picked up from the pound after her 13 year old pit had to go down (Cancer), my male was SO sad he needed a sleeping buddy. So we picked her up. My male is 14 and doing ok but when the time comes I will search the Shelters another. It is amazing how loyal and how much love they have it is all about how you rase them. GREAT video!

I love Pit Bulls so much I don't think I can have any other kind of dog, grew up with this breed. Every animal is capable of being dangerous, just look at us humans. Pit Bulls are very trustworth and loving, thanks for posting this video
