  • Now that you look so good, you can try what I am doing. I'm using the reallifeforhealth website. Their system is really easy to use and it does everything. They have 1000's of different recipes to choose from and they help you build a fitness and nutrition plan that suits your goals. I'm happy that there's no fad diets, pills, or required supplements. I'm really impressed with it, especially since they offer a free trial.

  • hi there i was wanting to ask you what was the process for the insurance approval? I am 34 with no medical problems and weigh 297 I have been wanting to get this surgery, but do not know how to get approved with the insurance company could you give me some tips.

  • I have tried to lose weight, lost it and then regained it bc it didn;t get trough to my head that when you diet, it can't JUST be a diet. It has to be a lifestyle change and somthing that, that is so big of a change takes alot of mental and emotional work. It's all about finding somthing that enables you live a healthy life AND be happy with it!

I truly hope that this lovely young woman can find somthing that does that. Whether it's drastic surgery or finding a way to do it naturally..

  • OMG! I'm really blonde :D I've just seen that you've posted this loooooooong time ago ... OOOOPS!

  • well, my best friend's mom went on Jenny Craig and she lost 10 pounds in a week. Her mom is almost 50 and obese. But good luck! (: hope stuff works out(:

  • it's called percocious puberty (sp?) but who cares. you don't have to be skinny to be beautiful inside and out. =]

  • i've been overweight since i was 5, my frist diet at 8 my mom tried starving me only 1 salad a day, and that was during the summer so no school food, 1 snack if i did 2 richard simmons videos. i'm 418 now and i'm now trying to get gastric bypass and i'm 21. i understand where ur comming from and i hope that everything has worked out for u this is the first video i've watched of u and it's old so i'm hoping youve had a outcomes.

  • thankyou for talking about this, i know ive been obese since i was under ayear old andi was at the hospital like twice a month doctors didnt help, at all, everything they said just bombed badly, so my mom had me on liquid diets, i was involved in sports in my elementry years, but i still stayed the same, every year i gained more weight, lost 20 lbs on jenny craig, then gaind ten times as much wish i couldget the surgery but my family wont allow me the risk, and im 20 years old!

  • Thank u soo much. I want to get gastric banding surgery done for a while but my parents are a bit skeptical about it. i am only 17 and im morbidly obese. I have been fat my whole life and i have decided to get the band cause like u i dont want the excess skin.

You are such an inspiration and im so happy u have done this cause now i can talk 2 u if i have any questions.

    Thank You xox

  • it sounds like my own story, that´s why i´m gonna get a gastric bypass :D

  • I heard the same thing. Oh, she'll grow into her weight! Not. I'm a teen with a lap band now, thanks for the lie doctor. lol

Love my band! Best of luck to you!

  • RE: 4:07. I understand. Completely.

Thank you for being so positive - you're making me feel it, too.

  • Positive change comes by positive attitude... :o)

  • You've had a long struggle with your weight. But you pull it of beautifully.

  • I just wanted to let you know I have the lap-band and I love it! What the websites say about feeling full and tricking your stomach is true- the nerves which make you feel full are actually located in in the upper stomach where the food sits. I got the band May 07 at 289 and to today's date I have lost 63 pounds. I still have 98lbs to go!

  • Love ur vids :) I am waiting on the insurance approval. Hopefully hear something next week. Good luck and keep us posted :) Have a blessed day - Melissa :)

  • I think you should stop fighting against your body, you always been a chubby girl, what are the odds be a thin girl, 0%?

  • I'm not looking to be thin...I'm looking to be healthy....and NOT as heavy as I am. I never expect to be a twig lol I don't have unrealistic expectations..but where I am now is not good. Also, for the most part, my body is not to blame for my size...even as a child. A lot of it has to do with my environment, parents who were not as educated as they could have been about child obesity. I was set up with horrible habbits. It's a choice thing

  • And I'm ready to start making good choices for me....it may sound that I'm blaming my parents. GOSH NO! But you do teach a child and mold them to aid them in making good choices for their lives. I was taught that food is pleasure, not fuel. Food was a reward, not a necessity. Food was a focus. If I wanted a candybar, I would beg and beg and beg til my mother would give in. I knew no boundaries with food.

  • Again...not blaming anybody...but facts are facts...I recognize them...assess them...and the better I understand them, the more tools I have to help change habbits. I cherish my body for being strong and helping me thrive thus far. My body has been good to me...now it's time for me to be good to my body.

  • wow..sounds like you've had a long and difficult history with your weight. I'm an emotional and compulsive eater and it is really hard to combat!

  • EXTREMELY HARD! And the habits don't just go away after WLS...but it's a tool...and that's what I'm so enthusiastic about. :o)

  • HEYA

I lost 13 kg but startin to puy on weight again im soo scared of being bullied....im doing rugby(american football) with all these guys and they eat after practice and they always bought me burgers and chips and stuff got to tel em u take ur chips and i drink my suppliments...luv ya posts....u are sooooo great....cant wait...lets b mates.....:))))

  • People don't understand why i know that my eating habits are messed up from my childhood and are darn near impossible to change for me. i do it for a while then lose control again. You rock and i'll be watching

  • I'm the exact same way...I have been dieting since I was 5 years old. Children are so impressionable and are learning life long habits...I learned to be a yo-yo dieter from the very beginning. So frustrating.

  • i know exactly! how you feel.

    i'm definitely a boredom/emotion eater.

i was losing weight in high school, down to 165 at 5'7 so i was getting close to my goal weight and then my best friend died. And my mom asked me what she could do for me that same day and i said i needed ice cream and so started to downward spiral and I still haven't stopped.

people definetly dont understand. It's not a physical thing, it's a mental thing. Our brains are wired different.

  • I'm not sure I ever read this comment...which I feel bad about. But thank you for sharing something of yourself so private. 3 months ago! Sheesh! I'm behind.

  • way to stay on the ball..haha

  • lol shup :o)

  • Hey I think you posted a response to my fill video but it was removed so I didn't get to watch it! I love your videos though so keep in touch! We need all the support we can get! :)

    -Ash

  • I happen to be a large person, and yes eating frequently is best, but if you "dont eat anything" for a long period of time.. and you don't lose weight.. You'll die.. its physically impossible for you to reduce your caloric intake and not lose weight.. Basal metabolism is undeniable. I always say surgery is best for people who have no hope of doing it on their own.. So if you have no hope of doing it otherwise then go with the fix.

  • Of course, our bodies need food to survive AND burn fat. I probably slowed my metabolism WAY down by not taking in many calories at all. So unfortunate. I have hope of doing it on my own, with a tool that will help me do it and keep it for the rest of my life.

  • I love you forever no matter what !!!

  • I love you too, handsome. :)
