@Carplon TAN all the way. Tan goes with Everything...desert, wood, dead grass, some urban, etc. Unless your in a DEEP DEEP forrest, OD really wont help as much.

@Carplon od is the most comonly used and long lived camo because it blends well and matches with every other camo such as acu (as used in transfomers) and it goes great with black tan not so much but its just a very good blender and it has a natural earthy color
12 mags?? I'm not trying to be critical, and I have nothing against Airsoft at all, but mobility should be a primary concern for you. I bet you move like a beached whale in that thing when under fire and I bet prone is quite difficult for you and very uncomfortable. Ask yourself, "How many mags do I really use in a fight?". Don't be worried about looking "cool" or "loaded out". A simple 4 to 6-mag chest rig/belt, with maybe a gear pouch or two would be much better for you, IMHO.
@cleremond Well its about his loadout and how he plays. If he's going for an "official soldier" look, he wants to be carrying mags for the looks. Though if he's playing to win you're right he wants to be using a simple carry system.

dude you know the long straps can go down the back and thru two loops then those plastic loop things on the front and makes it more stable and doesn't move around so you shouldnt have cut them lol
That's about as small as you can get a fighting load and still stand a chance of being able to fight and servive through the day ! A rifleman carries the same load but has 10 to 12 30rnd mag's . If you know what your doing you can slim it down but by doing so disadvantage yourself . It's hot, heavy, and kinda bulky but you get used to it ! So ya we NEED a few more pouches than you guy's !
Look man the gap batween airsoft and reality is huge ! The gear you wear for the game is mostly cosmetic, used to look the part . Some rifle and pistol mag's, an extra battery, a hit rag, some water, a leatherman, etc . That's it for almost any airsoft kit . In real life I carried 800rnd's for my SAW, a KBAR, 2 frag's, 1 red smoke, 1 flashbang, IFAK, 2 canteen's,1 camelback, 1 gasmask, 1 popup flare,
100 pounds of gear is probably an understatement but all of that gear is practical. I carry more than the average grunt because of the nature of my MOS (job) but I still try to keep it to a minimum. Most of that crap is in your ruck. In the end you still have to carry it all. I'll PM you my plate carrier set up for Afghanistan for an example.
The reason they're so long is it gives you the ability the take the entire back plate and molle section off and criss-cross the straps in the back and wear it like a chest rig. You can also take the fake-plate foam out and fold down the top section and completely turn it into a chest rig.

In the real world guy's dont use 500 pouches on there gear . It's pointless . If you want to look real then only carry what you need . Gloves, ammo, and a little water . A pouch or two for frags, maybe a radio pouch, maybe an admin, but that's it . It's all about high speed, low drag ! But to each his own right ? This rig has just enough room to look good but keep you practical , and it's cheap !

What you have is a ''chest rig'' . We use full on body armor . Our largest pouches are for ammo or water so ya they are bulky . Balive it or not if put all the stuff on our armor that most of you guy's do we'd be combat inafective ! Your's stop's bb's Our's is huge couse it has to stop bullet's !!! At most you'll see 3or4 mag pouches, at leat 2 for frag's, a dump pouch, an IFAK, an NVG bag, camalback, and that's about it .

I was a marine in iraq and alot of the blackwater guys that were with us wore setups like this.....of course they also got to wear whatever they wanted to.

I remember being on duty one night at ECP1 at TQ . 3 open top hummers roll up, each one has 4 guy's in it right . All of them SAS . Short's t-shirt's, m4's beerds chest rigs with boots that looked more like timberlands . they talked so fast we almost couldn't understand them . But they brought us 2 cases of COLD american beer the next night =) We didn't ask were they got it .
ha ha ha....that's awesome. I remember that the RM's were trying to get permission to build a make shift bar once...they said they were going to use the back of one of their vikings and build a plywood and camo net canopy around it. lol

Camelbak hyrdation. 2x 2mag pouches, 2 grenade (one frag one smoke) and a field dress kit. You don't take more stuff because it loads you down and makes you slower. You also have to account for every round you fire over there so taking a lot of ammo with you is never a thing. fully loaded Mags are kept in the humvee or in your ruck sack... theres no need for thousands of stuff

@shadow99reviews Things are high speed, when people don't need to wear their packs in iraq they take them off. Depending on the mission operators will use either 120 rounds or 210, or in your case 2100.

Put all that togather on one flack jacket and guess what..... It get's kinda bulky but it's still only what I needed to fight .

Hey how tall are you? I am thinking about getting this vest, and it seems to fit you perfectly. If we are about the same height, this will work out great. I am 5' 7", would this fit me okay? And I'm a really skinny guy too.

dude you know the long straps can go down the back and thru two loops then those plastic loop things on the front and makes it more stable and doesn't move around so you shouldnt have cut them lol

That's about as small as you can get a fighting load and still stand a chance of being able to fight and servive through the day ! A rifleman carries the same load but has 10 to 12 30rnd mag's . If you know what your doing you can slim it down but by doing so disadvantage yourself . It's hot, heavy, and kinda bulky but you get used to it ! So ya we NEED a few more pouches than you guy's !

Look man the gap batween airsoft and reality is huge ! The gear you wear for the game is mostly cosmetic, used to look the part . Some rifle and pistol mag's, an extra battery, a hit rag, some water, a leatherman, etc . That's it for almost any airsoft kit . In real life I carried 800rnd's for my SAW, a KBAR, 2 frag's, 1 red smoke, 1 flashbang, IFAK, 2 canteen's,1 camelback, 1 gasmask, 1 popup flare,
1 set NVG's, 1 spare barrel, 1 compass, 3 MRE's, 3 spare 30rnd mag's .

100 pounds of gear is probably an understatement but all of that gear is practical. I carry more than the average grunt because of the nature of my MOS (job) but I still try to keep it to a minimum. Most of that crap is in your ruck. In the end you still have to carry it all. I'll PM you my plate carrier set up for Afghanistan for an example.

You shouldnt have cut the straps.
The reason they're so long is it gives you the ability the take the entire back plate and molle section off and criss-cross the straps in the back and wear it like a chest rig. You can also take the fake-plate foam out and fold down the top section and completely turn it into a chest rig.

im getting the Tan version most likely. I know you own the OD version (unlike that retard down below XD) but have you at least seen it in person? Is it more of a dark tan like CB or is it pretty light.
Also, does it REALLY fit skinny people well. Or does it fit skinny people when you take every thing and cut it down so it doesnt hang off.

At the risk of sounding practical.....
In the real world guy's dont use 500 pouches on there gear . It's pointless . If you want to look real then only carry what you need . Gloves, ammo, and a little water . A pouch or two for frags, maybe a radio pouch, maybe an admin, but that's it . It's all about high speed, low drag ! But to each his own right ? This rig has just enough room to look good but keep you practical , and it's cheap !

What you have is a ''chest rig'' . We use full on body armor . Our largest pouches are for ammo or water so ya they are bulky . Balive it or not if put all the stuff on our armor that most of you guy's do we'd be combat inafective ! Your's stop's bb's Our's is huge couse it has to stop bullet's !!! At most you'll see 3or4 mag pouches, at leat 2 for frag's, a dump pouch, an IFAK, an NVG bag, camalback, and that's about it .

Yes any rig or gear is gonna be a little bulky ok , but there are way's to slim it down to what ya need and still look cool playing airsoft is all I was saying .

I was a marine in iraq and alot of the blackwater guys that were with us wore setups like this.....of course they also got to wear whatever they wanted to.

But then again we'd see S.A.S. come and go in shorts and t-shirt's with baseball caps with all sorts of chest rigs with anything from a g36 to an m4 .

I remember being on duty one night at ECP1 at TQ . 3 open top hummers roll up, each one has 4 guy's in it right . All of them SAS . Short's t-shirt's, m4's beerds chest rigs with boots that looked more like timberlands . they talked so fast we almost couldn't understand them . But they brought us 2 cases of COLD american beer the next night =) We didn't ask were they got it .

@shadow99reviews speaking as a Soldier, Herbymac0811 is right. Admin pouch to hold maps, compass and keys to the humvee. Camelbak hyrdation. 2x 2mag pouches, 2 grenade (one frag one smoke) and a field dress kit. You don't take more stuff because it loads you down and makes you slower. You also have to account for every round you fire over there so taking a lot of ammo with you is never a thing. fully loaded Mags are kept in the humvee or in your ruck sack... theres no need for thousands of stuff

@shadow99reviews 100 pounds of gear, yes. And we do have alot of pouches, but we don't usually carry more than eight mags accessable. The standard issue is six. I carrry one in my M4 six in three double mag pouches with flaps, and one speed reload pouch.

@shadow99reviews yeah man im the same way, i used to use an m4, but now im running an mp5, and i can fit 6 mags in each pouch. i dont think ill ever have that mag, but its nice to know i could. also i borrow mags from friends to fill it up, right now ive got about 14 mp5 mags from friends. ill never use them all, but its nice to know i could.
at a recent game i ran out of water long before i ran out of bbs

@shadow99reviews Things are high speed, when people don't need to wear their packs in iraq they take them off. Depending on the mission operators will use either 120 rounds or 210, or in your case 2100.

@ridebig10 Are you in the military ? I am . and on deployment we only carry what we need . But guess what . Going into comabt you need alot of stuff sometimes ! Mostly ammo . I carried 12 mag's, 4 grenades, 1 smoke grenade , 2 flare's, a camalback, 2 canteen's, 1 IFAK, 1 bayonet, an extra SAW drum, and a set of NVG's . Put all that togather on one flack jacket and guess what..... It get's kinda bulky but it's still only what I needed to fight .

All togather that is still not to big of a gear kit . It might seem alot to someone who's never had to carry it , but balive it or not that's pretty much a basic fighting loadout . @ridebig10 50 mags......um think again. 20 at most, is what they had in vietnam. Those were 20 rounders though, much smaller. Now they probably carry 6 on a reg basis, and 12 when they expect combat. It ALWAYS depends on situation. Im not military (yet) but i AM an avid reenactor so dont disregard my statements completely. As for you Herby, you aint getting "deserved" respect cause we have no proof that your military. To us, your another jackass who thinks hes right. Just chill out.

Ya the dump pouch , just put on what ever side your weak hand is on . i'm a righty so it goes on the left and I just undo the right side to get in and out . As far as him haveing fewer pouches great . He's found what work's for him . What I have work's for me . This is airsoft though . If it were real I'd have alot more ! I 'd even post it so you'd know just how much real stuff it takes to when a fight .
