  • Saw her at the Colonial Theater in Keene New Hampshire . Of course I bought the CD.

  • I'm a gigantic fan of King George, this medley, and George's in general. This is a phenomenal performance!

  • This is becoming my soundtrack for roleplaying as a bard in a d&d campaign. Great music \(^.^)/

  • bang on ..... the master Buddy Mac Master and no Buddy doesn't play at any events as he has healths issues

  • What's the name of the tune that starts at 2:36?

  • I'm a white guy, with two left feet, cant carry a tune, MAYBE keep the beat.

    This is GREAT!!!!!

  • i am a MacMaster:) i am natalies far away distance cuzin:) i swear i am! isnt that sooo cool:)

  • Outstanding !!!

  • Natalie and her Uncle Buddy are fabulous together!

  • Is the old guy still alive and playing ?

  • @c00per69 As far as I know.

  • @c00per69 Yes he is, thats Buddy, natalie's uncle :)

  • @c00per69 ' the old guy'?? I'm assuming he has a name. Old guys have names, too.

An bhfuil sé ag a Da?

  • @c00per69 Buddy? He's still alive for sure, not sure if he does much playing, don't hear of him playing any gigs around Cape Breton Island.

  • @c00per69 yes.

  • @c00per69 Gee, he's not that old loool !!!!

  • @c00per69 this is Natalie's Uncle Buddy MacMaster

  • I so love Natalie MacMaster and have seen her several times live over the years ~ she's amazing to see live! ;o)

  • Wow, with the MacMasters and the MacIsaacs, there's no other place on earth to go for good fiddle. I can't wait to get up there and see a live show someday. Outstanding!

  • the best and second best

  • Saw Natalie in CAarbondale , Illinois a couple of years ago. Great show.

    Missing Inverness right now.

  • Seen her live, she's phenominal! Love from Calgary :)

  • I almost caused an accident once listening to this tune. It's hard to keep that left foot still!

  • AH -- Cape Breton fiddles

  • We were fortunate enough to attend the Inverness Gathering a few years ago and see Buddy the evening we were there. Wow opened a whole undiscovered world to us. And as I have had a 40 year old obsession with lady fiddlers, it is not hard to imagine my glee at discovering Natalie. We are from a small town in North Missouri, so the concert at Inverness was a delight. Just like being in rural Missouri, except for difference in the music!

  • So few people get to do this - play along with a relative, I mean. Natalie playing with Uncle Buddy is just special to all of us!

  • none better that buddy .............

  • I know Miss Lyle reel with antother name, Paddy Ryan's Dream...

    Great stuff :)

  • what is the name of the fifth tune after Miss Lyall???

  • The Bridge or Bamore

  • talent on loan from GOD, they've got!!!!

  • Buddy is 1 of my favorite fiddlers! ya

  • is that the king who lost America for the brits? What a nice piece for such a weak ruller..

  • George III was king at the time of the revolution in America. This piece included King George the Fourth, presumably named for GIII's son.

  • thanks 4 the input. was it u that gave me the thumb down?Do u think loosing america was a good thing?? It was english georgian arrogance that lost that war, don't u think

  • I did not give your the thumbs down-- here let me give you a thumbs up and remove this blot from your record..

  • hahahaaa))10x a 1 000 000))and to return the favor...

  • America sucks. Glad we're rid of them.

  • I think it was a great idea; I'm hard pressed to say when exactly it all went south.

I'm getting the hell out of here as soon as I can manage it!

  • I fell in love with her @ Strawberry Fest Spring 09

She blew Michael Franti out of the water imho - talent wise.

  • hey im in this ..

    awesome!!!

  • Why wasn't I there!!

  • this is impressive!

  • very nice! I wish I could play like them!!!

  • Talk about classics...

Does anyone know what the components of this medley are? The first theme is King George IV strathspey. The second (I think) is Colonel Thorton. What is the third?

  • The medley pieces are listed under "more info" in the video description. They are:

King George IV, The Old King's Reel, King's Reel, Miss Lyle Reel :)

  • Thanks, Morigue.

    I admire your Nordic fiddling.

Do you ever perform in California?

  • Or Miss Lyall's (reel, also done as a Strathspey).

I'm not being nitpicky, just helping with the alternate spellings to aid in finding it :)

  • Absolutely stunning music. I am saving my money to find a way to see upcoming performances. Wow, I am blown away.

  • Medley includes:

    King George the Fourth

    The Old King's Reel

    King's Reel

    Miss Lyle Reel

  • Fiddling has got to be one of the funnest things you can do! I'm learning the violin and I've fallen in love with the fiddle.

  • It is! :)

  • oh and just curious, WHEN in 2007 was this filmed, and where? I was in Inverness in July...

  • The video was released in 2007 but actually filmed in Oct. 2006 at the Celtic Colours International Festival.

  • good lord just watching the video put a huge smile on my face to see so many fiddlers together! I can't imagine what it would have been like to be there!
