  • Gary's voice blows my mind !!! WOW!!! after all these years ....

  • I Love Gary's deep baratone voice. There is no one that has that deep sexy, yet sweet voice, and yes I agree that his singing when he was young was incredible, but this deep voice was so much more rich and full, and passionet. Such perfect pitch and th strength in his voice. always been great to watch sing, but this one was "Whew" Fantastic. Unbelievable. your voice, and songs as a teenager great, but now..in my fifties, you are hot, and I hope U see how U affected us man. Whew.

  • I saw Gary Puckett about twenty years ago at the Alton Casino. He was good looking then, but damn, he is like a fine wine, gets much better with age!!!!!

  • aunke la cante en chino este tipo es excelente en su tono de voz y presencia en estos tiempos se hecha en falta esta categoria, gracias

  • A wonderful song written by another awesome singer/songwriter, JIM GLASER!

  • I think this version is even better than it was all those years ago and yes I do hear some "Tom Jones" in there. his voice just gets better and with more feeling and melody. Not like the talking rap or hillbilly songs of today. Keep posting these beautiful songs from one of the greatest performers. Listen to " Love me tonight" I bought the cd after I heard it and it is the best cd I have ever had!!

  • kinda country sounding in this rendition but it works great.

  • Incredible voice, performance full of emotion...operatic. Gary, Roy Orbison, Jay Black, Frankie Valli and so many lead singers of so many groups had very identifiable voices. They had their own special sound like Little Anthony or Johnny Mathis, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis. Thank you for putting up this very special video.

  • Damn he's very good looking even now and his voice is soooo beautiful.

  • Gary puckett is one of the BEST singers of all time! What feeling and that voice!! Listen to him on " Love me tonght" It is out of this world

  • What a wonderful voice he has.

  • dam what a heartthrob

  • Great voice. Thanks for posting.

  • Very nice, great song and voice

  • Such a fantastic artist and VOCALIST Supreme! Thank you for posting this!

  • Very nice version of a wonderful song. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Allways thought he was the best of his time, an incredible voice, now i.m listening to hin again over 40 years later.

  • Gary Puckett ftw

  • great voice

  • Brilliant!

  • Chuck Norris's big brother

  • @rockfan363 And you should see how he fight with Bruce Lee. Wow !!!

  • Respond to this video... And you should see how he fight and beat up by Bruce Lee, like his little brother !!!

  • @TheFiredragon52 Are you saying that Bruce factually beated up Norris.. in the movie? Its a movie my good sir but yes you are right over all, Lee would pwn him.

  • @rockfan363 Bruce Lee truly believe to improve his fighting technique is to challenge every top name in every type of martial art at that time. Fact is he's been beat up so many time, yet kept going back again and again until he find the weakness of certain type of fighting to obtain a upper hand form his opponent, yet honestly show other every thing he knew. That how he eventually earned the respect from his peer.

A sign post in front of his studio claim " I'll fight anyone at any time "

  • @TheFiredragon52 It should be " I'll fight anyone, any time, any where"

  • @rockfan363 Picture this: Why would a six time U.S. National Karate Champ, agree to be beat up and kill by a

virtually unknown Chinese guy ( at that time ) in a world wide release Kung Fu movie. Respect, Respect and friendship that Bruce earned from Chuck. In fact, Bruce did beat Norris with a fieceful kick to his stomach during a National tournament to earn his one and only martial art title. He claimed " I 'll put the word of ' Kung Fu' in the dictionary. And the rest is history !!!!!!

  • @TheFiredragon52 Didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

  • Great song and fabulous singer.

  • Agree Skipper8257

  • He is a fox, my parents have always played his music. So as a 22 year old I can appreciate this great song most people my age have never heard. Cheers!

  • He is so HOTTTTT.

  • Sweet voice and beautiful song.

  • I had the pleasure of seeing the man in person here in Sydney years ago and apart from the voice he is an awesome person. I had the pleasure of reading his palm (I think the fact I was holding his hand affected me more) I am not a person who gets star struck but Gary has Je ne sais quois. His presense overwhelmed me more and that has never happened to me before and I have worked with stars. Gary is just oh so so sexy. I don't swoon but I fear I may have a little with this gorgeous man!!!!

  • What year is this filmed please?

  • @srogerh1 Early spring of 1984. I asked Gary the exact month, and he did not recall, but he said it was about the spring time. I saw him on the Norwegian Sun cruise in January of this year. That was such a kool journey. He , along with other musicians like Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and The Comets, did an autograph signing session on the evening of February 4th, and intermingled with the crowds.

  • Amazing version!

  • Always liked this song. Thanks for the upload!

  • Fantastic version of a really great song by Gary a bitter deeper - sexy voice

  • gary i love you since 1967 i was just 9 years old and i still love you!!!

  • WOW!!

  • The greatest voice in rock and roll history. What memories.

  • I had a 'crush" on Gary when I got old enough and heard his voice. He can still sing like there is no tomorrow

  • @kcat98gst Just saw Gary Puckett perform on the Norwegian Sun Cruise ship, just last week. He was there with Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Comets, and Three Dog Night. His voice sounds pretty much the same. What has changed was the instrumentals on stage.

  • Seen him at the Ontario Place Forum years ago with The Monkees and other groups. He was amazing and blew us all away. A rare and beautiful voice.

  • Absolutely the GREATEST voice in pop music...EVER! Disagree? Name someone better?...Impossible!

  • In my next life I hope to be one of his best friends, so he can sing every day his lovely songs for/with me....

His songs make my life wurth living!!!!

    thanks so much Gary x

  • I always loved this song, but his orig. version of it (tho' great) was the 'boy' singing, & this is the man! I love the country twang to it, beautiful rendition. Wish they had this version on an album! I also detect a bit of Tom Jones in his tone/timber. Great song, sung by a great voice at just the right time of his career & maturity. Love you Gary!

  • @letmein1x totally agree you must like the same stuff i do

  • Wonderful blue-eyed soul!

In my next life I hope to be like him. Talented and handsome.

  • what a powerfull voice! great to hear

  • What a performance !

  • Amazing to think that the Payne C&W version probably sold 4 copies and Puckett's sold 15 million. Payne & Glaser owe Gary big time for recording the pop arrangement in 1967.

  • one of my favorite all time songs, nice country twist on his own song with the sixties classic...!!

  • Awesome this man!

  • Very much sounds like Tom Jones. But you are not. I cant help but to say that your song is always evergreen. Never get tired of humming ohhhhhhh womannnnnn

    The best of best.

  • hes has such a powerful voice. he can adjust the volume to a country beat from his BOOMING rock voice.

  • I really don't like the song with the countrified arrangement. Too twangy for me.

  • According to the commentary. This recording was back in 1984 and he first recorded "Woman, Woman" back in 1967.. a difference of 17 years or 1.7 decades. So he did/does look good and sound great after a gap, (no pun intended ;-)), of 17 years after his original recording.

Reading back on my comment, I can see a certain ambiguity and how you've interpreted my remarks, so hope this clarifies things for you...Take care.

  • @SrGoldenHair Pun was certainly intended!

  • Just wonderfull

  • I think his original rendition was much better.

  • Great rendition.

Hey folks, understand-Nashville Now was a C&W show AND this song was originally written in that genre. Gary's version for this program was well planned and executed. He still had his range although the timbre is different than in '67.

  • What an absolutely lovely voice Gary still has!

  • I, like many others, preferred his earlier renditions performed at the height of his career as a young man. However, realistically speaking, who of us could perform a difficult song like that in exactly the same way, so many decades later ? Gary still has a fantastic voice. It is only that he has adapted the song to now accommodate his still incredible range. I think we should be prepared to cut him a little bit of slack. It is wonderful to still see him looking so good and sounding so great.

  • @SrGoldenHair

You are so right! A very difficult song to sing. He sings it with such passion!

  • By this time his voice had changed, but now he really cannot sing anymore. Of course his voice is not going to ever be forgotten by his fans. I have a cd with the band's greatest hits and it is wonderful. Time has a way of changing us all.

  • Ummmm. . . sorry, but he is singing way too weird, changing the phrasing and timing and even melody in places. He's singing like he's bored of singing this song, which is understandable, but it ruins it for the audience. Yes, he's got a great voice. . . but this sucks.

  • I'd give an opinion but I tried singing this song on karakoe, mission impossible!

  • the best voice that ever was heard on pop radio. Sexy, too. Easy on the eyes You should have seen him in the 60s. wow

  • @saddlerackcowgirl yeah..a very unique voice..many bands..have had a unique singer.

  • omg!!!!! this is the one man I've been in love with for 30 years. what a voice.

  • Great voice...not so great performance. Love GP just the same though.

  • OH my Lord---magnificent voice!

  • chuck norris???? :)

  • this version a little too slow, compared to the record.

  • beautiful voice

  • I grew up in the 60's listening to Gary Puckett, and he still has the sexiest vocals I have ever heard, and that makes him even sexier !! Keep singing your heart out Gary!!

  • I understand changing songs from the original version, but this is totally screwed up! It's terrible!

  • One fine looking man!

  • nada como la interpretacion cuando estaba joven ahora se le van unos gallotes, que...bueno, fue un gran interprete, lastima, todo se acaba

  • This is my all time favorite Gary Puckett song. He has such an amazing voice.

  • god, he is so hot!

  • and this woman said : You're a man.

  • Well you'd just had to lived in the 60s to understood.

  • Compare this to the orginal, its a travesty ,the phrasing is all wrong,so many singers feel the need to "Modernise" their songs "why"? Mr Puckett you are better than this.

  • this is even better than the original record he did in 1967

  • this is a great performance of 1 of the best singers evr

  • Wow what a voice and hes still sexy, hes blow me away and im in my 50s,

    Lynn

  • Dang......he still has it! Beautiful voice. I just love him!!

  • Awesome .....Thankyou

  • Type in "Taste Of Union Gap" for IMPOSTERS IMPOSTERS BAD VIDEO

  • The song is timeless. Gary is so gorgeous..sigh

  • Great voice. His songs always have "woman" or "girl" in the title.

  • I love Garys voice & always will!

  • What ever happened to good old fidelity?

HAVE YOU GOT CHEATING ON YOUR MIND?

    TIGER?

    DAVE LETTERMAN?

    BRAD PITT

Have you got Pre Nups on your mind?

  • Love this mans voice, what a legend. xx

  • Gary with a twangy Nashville group. lol And is he ever overemphasizing the notes. Thank God he got over this phase and sang this tune the right way. Thanks Gary and thanks for posting this vid. Its "unique".

  • yes he can do better not his best

  • Help! The MULLET IS BAAAAAAACK! Sounds a little bit pushed but since he is/was/are touring still...he might be tired and has to force the sound out!

  • When I was about 14 in 1984, I found my dad's Gary Puckett/Union Gap album "Incredible", I put it on and the rest was history! I now have all their original LPs and now the CDs. I saw Gary Puckett live a few years back and he's still a great vocalist!

His music will live on unlike the junk you hear today

  • Great voice, I am 28 and love this music. Happy days, happy music"""!!!

  • UNION GAP? Don't know what it means but there's a little town near Little Rock Arkansas called Pickles Gap. I think it had something to do with the American Civil War. In Gary's heyday, he had one of the best voices around. I hear a strange foreign accent in him. Where's Gary Puckett from?

  • He was born in Hibbing, Minnesota grew up in Yakima, Washington (adjacent to the city of Union Gap).

  • Este tipo es increible, una gra voz y una eterna admiracion hacia el.

  • God blessed this man with such a wonderful voice...It brings me back to the days when there was only AM radio and getting up to the alarm for school ~ with his songs and cousin Brucie. Thank you so much, harold, for your videos of Gary!

  • I have always been a fan...I hope he has had a good life....I know he was married to a woman named Sharon(I envied her)...I wonder if they are still together and if they have any kids?

  • To me, In the 60's and 70's Gary is rank along with (in no order) Frankie Valli, Johnny Maestro, Jay Black, David Clayton Thomas as the greatest voice in that era. What a Voice. Love you Gary.

  • Gary i like your special sound in your voice.

You're still a great singer after all these years.

  • Yep Gary sure deserved that applause, only wish I had been there and he is still gorgeous and always will be!

  • Thanks for posting this...it's great!! He's still gorgeous!!! Have always loved his voice...my favorite since he first started. Although a young James Brolin is who

Christian Bale looks like to me.

  • Now I know why I am so attracted to Christian Bale - He reminds me of Gary Puckett!

  • It's 11:30 pm and I just found this video. I have always been a Gary Puckett fan and this video is fabulous. Thank you so much Harold 647. You have made my night.

  • I loe gary puckett he has one great voice that makes me melt thank you for posting

  • One of the greatest voices ever. Thank You Gary.

  • @skipper8257 I saw and met Gary Puckett, twice in my life. First time was at the Palmer State Fair in August, 1995. Second time at Sullivan Arena, October 28th 2008. It was neat to shake the hand of a legend, realizing that he was constantly on the radio AM / FM in the fall of 1969, when I entered the third grade.

  • I always liked the original. This is a treat as well.

Time goes by so quickly, Sad that Nashville & TNN has Died..

    THANKS FOR THE POST!

  • I cannot say more than what is said. Gary, you are the best.

  • gary gets better every time i watch this clip thank you harold 767

  • SIGH!

    (thank you Harold767)

  • Wow.. great performance! Interesting.. this was under twenty years after the song was released (if I'm not mistaken), and NOW 1994 AND 2004 have passed!! Another TWENTY years more! This is a rock classic. His voice was still pretty good in 1984! Still the great vibrato. THANKS Harold767

  • Oh, my gracious! Love it! "Woman, Woman," has to be my favorite song that Gary sings... however, I can't think of ANYTHING that he sings that I do not love. I went bonkers when I first found this posted... and each time I watch it... I go a little bonkers all over again! LOL! Thank you Harold767!

  • Thanks for sharing this! Woman, Woman is Gary's favorite song, & one of mine as well!
