I think the lighthouse scene is just about one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the whole movie...aside from the ending,of course. You could see the look on Newland's eyes on how he's just waiting and willing her to look back. So depressing...
you feel it...this is THE scene in the film...that's why the finale is directly related to it...the ability to genuinely appreciate this film is deminishing as the global population grows more stupid and more apathetic..but you got it right...Kudos!
