Some of you seem to be confused about the interest paid to the FED. When the Fed purchases a Treasury note (with money it creates out of thin air) it is repaid the principal plus interest. That is true, but the principal and the interest are returned to the Treasury minus the operating expenses of the Fed. We actually pay for all of this by the hidden tax of inflation. The real damage done by the Fed is dollar debasement and credit bubbles caused by artificially low interest rates.
