I saw Memphis Slim only once-at the Village Gate in 1976 with this drummer. They opened for Earl Fatha Hines. This was in the lower level of the Gate, where the Jacques Brel show was previously played. The place was packed and the show was great. I wish I had seen more of Slim- really great musician.
