  • i was lucky enough to see him with BB at the Rue Morgrador in Paris in April of 1980 and later on that same year at a small club in Berlin Live He was unbelievable...

  • I saw Memphis Slim only once-at the Village Gate in 1976 with this drummer. They opened for Earl Fatha Hines. This was in the lower level of the Gate, where the Jacques Brel show was previously played. The place was packed and the show was great. I wish I had seen more of Slim- really great musician.

  • @diegocostarica21 lol I wasn't taking about perkins, I was saying that this song sounds like the song called "pine tops boogie woogie" recorded in 1928 by the original pine top, his name was Pine Top Smith.
