The engine is so loud, he has to wear a headset in order for us to hear him. It would propably give you permanent loss of hearing over time - awesome!!

You do realise that to go faster the relation of power to speed increases in a big way. Why the Veyron needed a 1000hp to push up to 250mph. The lack of technology is also a good thing, means you get more feel and less weight.
The 911 4 GTS weighs 1480kg and has a top speed of 187mph @ 408BHP
The Sagaris weighs 1078kg and has a top speed of 185mph @ 380BHP
So tell me again the similarities of those two cars ? The porsche weighs 400kg more and yet according to official specs it's faster...400kg is 38% more than the weight of the Sagaris.....No these cars are nothing alike and with 400kg less i would expect the Sagaris to be quite faster than the Porsche....
@NikKast1981 Biggest mistake you made there, thinking weight has a big impact on top speed. It has very little to do with top speed. Top speed is down to power, aerodynamics and gearing mainly. Which is why the Porsche and the Sagaris have similar top speeds. However weight has a big impact on acceleration. Which is why the Sagaris will get to 60mph a second faster than the Porsche even though it is a faster car.
@yonumpty Big or small we are talking about a 38% difference in weight so i don't really think anyone would say that such a difference makes a small impact on the top speed of a car....It's not 50kg heavier, 100kg heavier, 200kg heavier, it's 400kg heavier which easily translates in 5 medium sized people....And you still really think that makes a small impact in top speed ?

Besides we are not talking about an already heavy car which if lets say 1500KG 400KG more would be like 20% more so perhaps it wouldn't make a huge difference but 1078 vs 1480 is 402KG more so there's simply no way even by just using physics calculations that it would not affect the top speed of a car.

They still can't hit 200mph either. You typically need a good 550-600hp to hit 200mph. Look at any car that is capable of 200mph. I bet they all have very similar output around 550-600hp and the weights can vary a lot. Porsche Carrera GT for instance 1380kg, 605hp. Its top speed was 205MPH. It is all about power.

@yonumpty True but HP is not everything, there are engines with 550HP that are worse than engines with 500HP or less. As for the GT it's a great car but Porsche focused on handling and acceleration rather than top speed. Gear ratios mean a lot as well for top speed. The variables are many, still i consider the Sagaris as a good car but not even close to being a Porsche 4 GTS.

I like this car. I would have it before any Porsche or Jaguar or even Mercedes ,partly because it is so brutal without those electronic gadgets and partly because it looks so great ,especially with crazy array of colours that you can get it painted.
The front end is sick looking, like how the hood curls up onto the middle of the windshield... beautiful. The rear end however is atrocious, that stupid wing and sideways exhaust is terrible looking imo.
Overall, I still love the car, it's weird, cool, and fast as hell. Besides, nothing sounds like a TVR.

It is a beautiful car, but mechanically it is of low quality. The Speed 6 engine will most likey break down within 50000 miles, and I'm talking about a major failure. As much as I like the fact that they made their own individual TVR inline 6 engine in theory, you just can't deny the fact, that they should have used mechanical parts from other companies (engine, transmission etc) like Ford, Toyota etc (like Lotus).Because while this car is a beauty, it will cost you an arm and a leg to maintain

Not if you treat it correctly. Warm it up well before you rev it past 3000rpm and it will be fine (older ones with Indian made components are much more sensitive to this), service it no later than you should and you can get well over 100k with ease. Now I do want to see that race. A Corvette ZR1 versus a TVR Sagaris. Now before everyone goes shouting which car they feel will win remember that the 2011 Porsche nine eleven Turbo beat the ZR1 in a whole bunch of tests. even in 0 to 60.
You buy a TVR Sagaris because you think Porsche 911's are softcore. No ABS? No traction control? Better bring your 'A' game when you get in that car! Sign me up!

@FlameSnipe you will probably have to import one from England. That will cost alot of money, your best bet will be to find out how much it costs to transport it. Then find one for sale buy it and contact a buisness that will collect it and transport it to what ever airport or port you want.
Tvrs look fast and look good, but their quality worries me....the gauges looked a lil cheap, ergonomics seems quite off. Also, no modern electronic aids/safety features included, tranction ctrl, dynamic stab, etc.
If I wanted a lightweight british car, I wouldn't want it to be intuitive and practical, I'd want it to be cartoonishly complicated so that only I would know how to operate it.
You're just jealous cos you can't afford one or you can't drive well enough to handle one. There were dozens at Goodwood last week and all the owners absolutely LOVE them.

The front end is sick looking, like how the hood curls up onto the middle of the windshield... beautiful. The rear end however is atrocious, that stupid wing and sideways exhaust is terrible looking imo.
Overall, I still love the car, it's weird, cool, and fast as hell. Besides, nothing sounds like a TVR.

Clarkson has the exact same sense of humor as I do, and i never get tired of hearing his sarcasm, and smart remarks. I watch this show every time it's on, and Laugh my head off for the full hour. THANK YOU TOP GEAR! You have successfully created the funniest, most interesting car show on TV!

It is a beautiful car, but mechanically it is of low quality. The Speed 6 engine will most likey break down within 50000 miles, and I'm talking about a major failure. As much as I like the fact that they made their own individual TVR inline 6 engine in theory, you just can't deny the fact, that they should have used mechanical parts from other companies (engine, transmission etc) like Ford, Toyota etc (like Lotus).Because while this car is a beauty, it will cost you an arm and a leg to maintain

Not if you treat it correctly. Warm it up well before you rev it past 3000rpm and it will be fine (older ones with Indian made components are much more sensitive to this), service it no later than you should and you can get well over 100k with ease. Plenty of my friends are well past this with no trouble at all.

@FlameSnipe you will probably have to import one from England. That will cost alot of money, your best bet will be to find out how much it costs to transport it. Then find one for sale buy it and contact a buisness that will collect it and transport it to what ever airport or port you want.

Tvrs look fast and look good, but their quality worries me....the gauges looked a lil cheap, ergonomics seems quite off. Also, no modern electronic aids/safety features included, tranction ctrl, dynamic stab, etc.
