this isnt working for me, i keep trying to place objects on what i used as a gravity hull, and it glitches through, blinking and clipping through it. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!
allright, i need some help, to try this tool, i put a plate on the floor and got in it
then spawned something outside, but when i tried to interact with it i couldnt. i tried to grab it, even with the gravity gun, but couldnt even delete it with the removal tool, i dont know why, it shows here that you should be able to interact to the outside from inside,
@TheDjordje343 I made all the ships in the video in-game with easy weld and stuff. Most of the props are from SBEP's (spacebuild enhancement project) model pack.
Like some other people have said, doesn't this mean a water-tight tool is also viable? If it is creating a clone of the interior outside of the map, and you created it while on land, then wouldn't it stay dry while underwater? With a little coding I think that's possible.
@JWIgnatius It does it properly now and doesn't even have water effects when you're in a hull (as of revision 22). It also increases the distance that you can see underwater while you're in a hull. Submarines... :3
@JMAssainatorz most lag is caused by movement, and because the clone is frozen, it doesn't apply. It does lag a bit because of the different checks it has to do, though.
@lordzkonyx this is garrysmod a Hl2 mod made by garry newman its a sandbox game allowing the player to spawn varius props weld them add thrusters and mutch more to your contraption and on top of that theres tons of easyly instaled mods for instance the props you see in the video(the spaceship ones) are a mod called sbep

Ok so another problem I had. You created like a ramp like thing on video 3 with breen standing on it towards the start. I tried to create something like that and it wouldnt work. How can I make it work. Thanks :)
can this be somehow be implemented into hammer editor? I am trying to make an challenge map where parts move (like running in a pipe with rotating walls with holes in them and you must time your move to next hole.) The reason i ask this, because currently if I'm in the moving segment, the gravity constantly changes and the rotation sometimes stops. So any ideas?
@kajar9 As long as you use props, then you can use two lua_run entities to duplicate the effect that the tool would have. Later on I'll have a simpler point entity that you can use to apply them when the map loads, complete with inputs to toggle them and stuff.
@SuperLlama53 I got the idea from a flash game where you fly with a spaceship and must fly trough shapes that are on rotating circles. But my map wont have much gaps between the circles.

Hey, my other online name is Hysteria; I made some of the props in the video =) I've been monitoring this since you started, was a hugely exciting concept, and it's fantastic to see how far it's progressed. Can't wait to try it!
@D3ltra Awesome, great job on the models, they're my favorite pack to work with and my standard for deciding if the traces are working or not. I'm about to completely redo the tracing algorithm so the transitions work properly, and I'm going to test it on pretty much all of the sbep models before deciding that it works :P
@SuperLlama53 Haha thanks. It's always been irritating that, however many models I make, the problem you show at the start of the video still exists. Hope you get it working the way you want it to!
