with rocketman? not so much. that one sucked big time and had no atmosphere at all. this one here made me feel something for the first time on this show. incredible.
This masterpiece scene sucks with Pacific UV. The song ruins everything, it makes it pretty boring, without any life. Rocketman '03 is perfect for this scene.
Agreed. Both songs are phenomenal but Pacific UV is way too slow and subtle for this scene, whereas Rocketman is a more clear cry for help. Plus it wraps up perfectly from its use in the very first episode.
If they don't make Season 4 I'll have to kidnap Duchovny :(
I dig the video but I gotta say that the original version with Rocket Man tops it. The song fits perfectly IMO and makes it iconic in a way Pacific UV just can't.
oh and btw. the content itself is pathetic, because "She forgives him for screwing three other women at the same time, including a student, but she absolutely freaks out because he slept with mia not knowing her age and who she was".. but nevertheless... great atomsphere.
@sigoog this is a horrible comment. These other women, all adults. Even the UNIVERSITY student is significantly older than 16. Not to mention Mia is her ex fiancee's daughter (nearly her step daughter) and her own daughter's role model. Also the fact that he had been hiding all of that for so long. Not to mention that he would be going to prison for statutory rape and his career would be ruined, along with any chances of a stable life for herself and her daughter.
It's a pretty severe situation, but you have to admit that her reaction was just a little too far. Great acting though, and perhaps the fact that I'm from the UK where 16 is legal (you're still pretty much labelled a paedophile if you're over that age and you sleep with a 16 year old, though, just not in a court of law) reduces the realism of this scene for me.
