American Office is great entertainment if you have the intellectual capacity of a tarantula, have no concept of subtlety or irony in comedy and are the sort of person who thinks farting is the epitome of comedic genius. Basically, most Americans.

And I can say beyond doubt that the English excel not only in their ORIGINAL version, but also in comedy on the whole and in culture...most starkly when put in comparison to the USA and more particularly, their version of the office..which is a generic mainstream mildly amusing sitcom which will have no lasting impression or ever be deemed a classic.
