i just downloaded opera, and while its fancy looking, its kind of a pain in the ass.

trying to load an IE extension is awful. this is a must since enough web sites are IE only, without this, I have to have 2 OS on my lappy. thats not ok. w/chrome i dont need IE at all, with the IE tab.

i like the opera mail browser.

nothing standout on opera though. if youre using this you are not web savvy.

I found that the Opera browser caused a lot of problems on my PC in that I could not play any videos and it is complicated but Lunascape browser works better if you want a more upmarket browser with extra functions. Andrea.

IE is best. thats why more people use it than any other browser. and dont say it is only used most because it comes as microsoft OS's default browser because that statment is untrue. if they wanted to change their browser then they would. lol i really think it differs from internet speed and computer....my computer is decent with good internet and i use Mozilla Firefox. Google loads in less than a second, i can load msn in less than 2 seconds, and when it comes to loading java games....there isn't a loading screen.

I'm an Opera fan and I truely think it's the best of all for many reasons (faster, lots of built-in features (no need to look for hours to find an addon all the time!), built-in scripting for customization, instant install of addons and skins (no need to restart all the time like FF), built-in bittorrent, mail, rss, widget engine and its the ONLY true MDI browser. ive gotten used to Firefox a little, and i like the features of: Spelling checker, the google search bar, fact it keeps my top used links on a pulldown menu, and that when i search for a website-it looks in my favorites and completes the rest of the adress [under the name ive saved it].

Thing is, Firefox doesnt support some websites that i use [in hebrew], and crashes sometimes. SO-if i do the switch to opera, will i find those features ive mentioned above, too?! :\

If you open opera open a page and then close it for sure the prefetch file is still on the disc so it can reload it faster. LOL

The next is that you should test it using different machines not just a single machine.

You should also have a dedicated leased line not just a home internet connection.

You need to learn many things on benchmarking than just posting it and look stupid.
