TO EVERYONE: how about we all focus on the humor in this video? you all try to be politically correct and say, oh this is horrible how a coach could do this in front of children! ... 1) you ppl obviously don't understand a thing about baseball and how it is coached, so..SHUT THE FUCK UP! 2) those who have posted ignorant, close-minded comments about this video need to get over themselves and stop trying to act like you know everything when... obviously you don't. PULL THE STICKS OUT OF YOUR ASS!
strike zone is non-negotiable !!!!! this ump did a great job in getting rid of the 3rd base coach..... absolutely classless of the coach!!!!! and to the idiots yelling in the bleachers and through the lense of the camera- how in the hell are you supposed to tell what a ball and a strike is from that distance morons?
it's amazing to me, as a player, how little people know about how baseball is played. it seems as if you all think that if a coach gets tossed, it's automatically a horrible and "classless" thing. reality is that in big games such as this one, coaches WILL attempt to spark their team by blatantly getting tossed. not that difficult to understand. the call was HORRIBLE and it was obvious from any angle. the batter had already been ejected, which was over the top, and the coach defended his player
look... the ump had been "fairly" consistent, meaning he had made some mistakes prior to this. but that is besides the point, because this pitch WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE! i wish the video was more clear or zoomed in more so you can see that. also, anyone who knows baseball at all knows that coaches will argue to the point of ejection to spark their team. it just so happens that this was an important game and this coach was given just that opportunity. coaches have to back up their players
dude i could fucking care less! this was in like july! it's you ppl who amaze me! i put this video on youtube, because it's FUNNY! jesus, our team was 16 at this time. like any 16 year old won't like it when their coach gets tossed..and the parents appreciate the coach protecting his player! our team is very good too dipshit. we won the game with ease and did well in a disney world tournament against some of the best teams from the us AND puerto rico, dominican republic, etc. don't assume things
dude it's not like our team has a rep for players and coaches getting tossed! it's a rare thing! which is why it was funny that my dad happened to get it on video so we can all look back at it and laugh about it. BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY!!! i didn't put the video up to bash umpires or to support coach/player ejections. if i would have known that there were so many ignorant asses out there who would try to disect the video, because their own lives suck i would have never put it up! ejections are funny!
Yeah what was so funny about this ejection was that we were playing at the stadium in the wide world of sports complex, so everything echoed loud and clear lol i was in the outfield bullpen at the time and i could hear everything clearly. our team is from washington state so i highly doubt we'll ever see this umpire again anyway. but yeah our team and parents got a lot of laughs from it.
SO the coach goes ballistic because the ump, who you admit had been consistent all day, makes a bad call on one, single pitch? Geez, the umpire who doesn't miss at least one pitch a game hasn't been born yet. What a tool your coach is.
the pitch was low..and my coach didn't start arguing until the ump had already tossed the batter for spitting on the ground near him. basically the ump was fairly consistent up until this point when he made a HORRIBLE call. the coach arguing wasn't COMPLETELY based on the call, it was also him backing up his player. sometimes coaches argue and get tossed to set a fire under their team..but from a players standpoint, the call really was BAD because like i stated earlier, it contradicted his zone.
No way in the world a coach can tell me from the 3rd base box if a pitch is in or out. He may see high or low, but defitenly not in or out. I would dump this coach as well.
dude he said "you've been tight all game... and then you call that garbage?" so actually he had a GREAT point seeing as how the umpire had an extremely tight zone all game until that pitch. the ump WAS NOT consistent and that was the basis for the whole argument. get your shit straight before you try to sound smart.
Geez...where to start.....First, no way the coach in the 3rd base box, or these tools in the stands can see where the pitch is on a close one. So, since its "close" you expect the call to go your way? And the comment "youve been tight both games", umm so? At least hes consistent, isnt that what you guys want? If a pitch looks close, but is an inch off, its a ball. Thats the way it is. And as long as hes calling it that way...adjust.
It would be great if we as umpires could start hollering at the coach for bad coaching. Or maybe when his team starts missing can of corns.
