@GenghisKhan44 I think we agree on the Catholic Church (note: no 'roman') which includes all followers of Christ (regardless of how they choose to name themselves)
We may, I'm not sure, disagree on what percentage of people who associate themselves with the organization known as 'the roman catholic church" (Capitalize any way you please) are actually part of the Catholic Church.
Luckily that judgment is not up to me, and I sleep easier knowing that "The Judge of all the earth will do right."
@hbregalad What? Roman meaning the western and latin liturgical rites. eastern includes many different parts of the east with different languages as the offical language fro the rites. Everyone one else is probably a protestant who thinks of themselves as christian.
My church gets the veggietales movies early and shows it to the people in the community. I guess you call it a "Veggietales Theater". They always have afterward snacks, like popcorn, lemonade, cupcakes, ect. for free and the kids run their energy out before 10:00. this goes on at 7 and ends at 10-11.
Veggies in the veggieverse dont have hands or feet. They dont have an explaination why, but Mike ( who does the voice of bob the tomato i think) Says that they have a sort of weird veggie telekenisis.
First of all, the Catholic church was the only one in existence at the time. Second, Catholicism as a practice is in many ways distinct from Christianity, but Catholics are Christians. Most are nominal Christians, especially in Mexico and South America, but there are some (like Mother Theresa) who genuinely love Jesus. The same generalization can be made of American Protestants. It's not for us to judge an individual based on which church they attend.
@gurlphotographer Listen here, Im catholic and I believe jesus died on the cross to save us from sin, and that is what all cathollics believe AND that what makes somebody christian, so don't go baggin on somethin you havent got the first clue about!!!!
Jesus founded one Church. "Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build My Church..." The Catholic Church is the only Church that was founded by Jesus. All the others had ordinary humans founding them; Martin Luther, John Wesley etc...Think about it. - That we may all be one as Jesus prayed. Blessings - Rene
@mammyoriordan The roman catholic church was founded by the roman pagan high priest & emperor Constantine, in ~306 AD. Who ruled and consolidated it for 30 years as if it were any of the other pagan religions co-opted by the Roman government in order to keep control of her citizens. He finally converted to true Christianity on his death bed, when he no longer cared about losing his power base if the other temples he ruled rebelled.
Anyone who follows Jesus and his gospel is Christian.
@hbregalad Christ established His church while He was still alive, and He built it on Peter (Matthew 16:18-19). This Church had a Comforter sent to it - the Holy Spirit - who would protect the Church from error forever (John 14:16-17, 26). For the Lord said the Church would prevail even against the gates of Hell.
No church except the Catholic Church has existed since Christ established it. Just look at the writings of the Early Fathers of Christianity. From the Earliest days we were Catholic.
@mammyoriordan Omayn, sister. The Anglicans were founded by a King who rejected what his Church told Him. The Mormons were based on a vision of an angel who contradicted Scripture and Jesus Himself. Many modern Protestant schisms are the victims of the malleability of their beliefs, which "lead to their own destruction" (2 Peter 3:15-16). As for the evil that is in the Church, recall that all but one Apostle fled Him when He was being crucified. Another denied Him, and a third betrayed Him.
@sammmimuffin - she's a vegetable... (or a fruit, I'm not sure) like all the rest of them. It's VeggieTales. None of them have hands, and that's just how she's shaped.

why didn't u guys use vegetables in the back ground for Mary and Joseph? i thought that was the whole point of this show using the vegetables to keep it safe! OH BOY HERE WE GO........
Back when Big Idea made Star of Christmas, they decided that they would never portray Jesus as a vegetable. They just couldn't find a piece of produce to do justice to Christ.
The one exception they made was when they put together a Nativity toy set in which Laura's baby brother plays Jesus. He's an established character participating in a Christmas play, so it's all good.
those two praying are suppose to be Joseph and Mary and they're human and since the beggining it's been rule number 1# to NEVER EVER EVER show Jesus as a vegetable

why are people fighting about religion on a veggie tales song? Do you do that to feel happy?"
"No, I'm doing this because I am happy" thing made me sniffle. i usually do things to make people happy because it makes me happy.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Although Larry and Mr. Lunt called it wire removal, or something to that effect.
And Mike Narwocki voices Larry. Phil Vischer voices Bob.
