  • I can still see him winning the kentucky Derby by 6 and a half lenghts

  • running was all he lived for. But in the end running took his life. But Barbaro will never stop running. Wether it be on this earth or in heaven. He wont stop intill the end but there is no end so forever he will run. wether it be here on earth in heaven or even in our hearts and dreams.

Now we lay you to rest dear friend so you can go on and run the next race.

  • what happend to this horse anyway

  • in the Triple Crown race he got pulled up because he had broken his leg... after going throu lotsa pain and surgery, he died in january '07

  • oh thank you

  • In the preakness he didnt make it a 100ft when he broke in back right foot when another horse had hit it and he had to go to pensilvania Un and had surgeys but then got laminites in his left foot they though he was going to make it but then his letf foot got wors and he had to be put down its sad but its racing

  • he had to be humainly uthanized

  • we all love you rip hope u got to hevan safely

  • i feal so sorry for him this made me cry i really thinks its horibel y did they race him again

rip bararo we all love you

  • not anymore-- mwahahahah

  • UR EVIL. WHAT DID BARBRO DO 2 U?

  • After Barbaro healed, why did they make him keep racing? I mean, the owners were already incredibly wealthy, so why? Why not just treasure him and keep him as a stud (if he was a stallion, I never really knew..) Or a pet? It must of been a hard decision to get him to race, though. But I'm still saying, if they stopped racing him, he would still be here as a hero to all of us. (Not being rude, I love barbaro, just making a point.)

  • What do you mean?? After the Preakness when he was injured, they didn't even let him barely walk little own run in a race... They tried to keep him as a pet and not stud [[They didn't even collect semen from him]] but he developed infections in the hooves from leaning his weight on different legs. He was in a lot of pain so they had to put him down. After that first injury, he never raced again..

  • Oh, okay. I heard differently elsewhere. I heard that after surgery and healing methods on his leg, he healed, and they attempted to race him again. I'm glad that I was wrong, though. xD

  • to hell with this rash music and I dont give a crap about some gay mule

  • howlad9454 if you think he is gay then why were you looking him up. besides, he was a hero to me and other horse lovers. besides he makes more money then you will ever make. and he is an animal you a bug. besides, you race and feel the pressure on him. u r rude and crule and if you don't like him, don't look him up anymore. got it.

  • he makes way more money than you at least

  • and the world doesnt give a crap about you. And if u hate horses so much, there is no way you could've come to this you ass.

  • oh i remember what i was searching for,it was the son alive and kicking by nonpoint.

  • they believed in him.

  • Why don't you all shut up and stop leaving bad comments on videos that are remembering him and you shouldn't fight

  • Stup up you idot you don't know anything. Barbaro was more than a horse a hero a savour a beautiful soul i am so lucky i got a chance to see you before you passed away. You were beautiful even then may you roam free in the pastures of heaven where i will meet you some day! Don't forget his jocky most jocky would care but he loved him!

  • SHUT UP SHUT UP!!! you are rude and a brat so just stop it! we love you barbaro!!!!!!

  • 80's crap music. Why can't you losers listen to some REAL music? To hell with your Barbaro and this horrible "music".

  • Metallicakicksbutt GO TO HELL BARBARO IS A TRUE CHAMPION I CANT BELIVE U U FUKER

  • hey wats up.

i know you think ur so cool with your insults to people who actually have something to care about instead of what drug their gonna inhale next but i think the rest of the world would appreciate it if you crawled into a hole and never came out.

  • metalic -

why the fuck would you look barbaro up and then complain about the frickin music?!?!

Get a life. barbaro was a hero for LOTS of people. your so low, you have to tell a frickin HORSE to go to hell?

    wow. go to church.

    i love you barbaro<3

  • Barbaro had a passion to run hard, it was his life. He never lost the Preakness in that last race. I have NEVER seen a horse still want to run with a broken leg, he did, he won, he won our hearts forever!!!

  • rip baro :(

  • Barbaro: A Nation's Horse, documentary, will air on NBC this Saturday, May 5, at 8 pm Eastern after the Kentucky Derby.

  • they wernt in it just 4 the money they loved him like he loved them if it wasnt for da jokey he wld of still tryed to run .

  • NBC Barbaro documentary on April 29 at 5 pm eastern

  • I love this video! this is my second post, with May coming. . . Hope there is a tribute to Barbaro at the Derby

  • The new Barbaro message board is tim woolley racing

Save horses and stop the slaughter of horses.

  • that was sad

  • xXgeeizhotXx - You need to grasp the facts. The Jacksons donated $3 million toward research that will be chaired by Dr. Dean Richardson at New Bolton. Guess again if you think they were only in it for the money.

  • yeah

  • he should of been put down on the track but the owners wanted to see if he wud get better n bring in some more money they didnt care about his pain

  • You need to grasp the facts. The Jacksons loved Barbaro so much that they donated 3 million for a chair in Dr. Richardson's name.

  • they spent so much money on relieving this (great) horses pain! They would still probably have lost money in the long term

  • Very well done.

  • Whenever I need a Barbaro fix (which is daily), I play this video. Pam, it's awesome...the music and images are a perfect match.

  • Thanks for your comment. I listen to this song frequently and of course always think of Barbaro. It's a great song for exercising to!

  • A real gut buster for you, huh?

  • RIP. he died in my home state.

  • There's a difference between him dying himself and being euthanized.

  • RIP Barbaro. WE shall never forget you(L)

  • to bad he died

  • me must eat his body for strength!

  • just 2 let u know he was creamated

  • Not the only great racehorse to pass on 1/29/07 AlanisM winner of 600K passed in the evening may they both rest in peace they will never be forgotten

  • rise up and eat Barbaro's corpse!

  • EatBarbarosCorpse- You're pretty cool. I wish I could be like you.

  • he didnt pass away he was put to rest , he was enuthized (sp?)

  • he passed away this morning.

  • Nice job on the video Pam....

  • Nice work Pam.I saw this horse first at DE park what a horse coulda been the next Secretariat. All the best horses start at Delaware Park!Get well Barbaro,You got some lovin to do.

  • any new news ?

  • The picture and sound quality could be much better.... but the story told is strong enough to look past the technical shortcomings. Barbaro is strong and the videographer is paying homage to the horses strength; but this video imo even more importantly shows the great amount of dedication, hard work and TLC given in the huge effort to save a great champion's life. Oh yeah; I love that shot of Barbaro smelling his rose blanket as he was being led from his stable.

  • Someone is zoom-happy

  • i love this he kicked everyones butt yeah b

  • I too thought of Ruffian when Barbaro broke down and I thought the same thing..."Oh no...not like Ruffian". I am also grateful not only for the medical technology but also for all of those who have made Barbaro's recovery possible, especially the Jacksons who love their beautiful Barbaro more than they love their money. They seem to be willing to do whatever it takes to be able to bring their beloved Barbaro home to live a happy and pain free life. They are truly very special people.

  • God, he's only 3 years old. When I saw his injury, all I could think was, "Oh God, please... Not like Ruffian. Please, not like Ruffian..."

I am thankful that equine medicine has come such a long way from the 70's. I have asked myself if they had the technology back then, could they have saved her too? I am glad they have done so much for Barbaro. A truly great horse such as he deserves to live a long and hopefully pain-less life from now on.

  • Simple minds and barbaro, what more could you want, great vid, great song choice, i cant wait to see what you do next :)

  • LOVE IT! It made me cry. :-( Love the song! Simple Minds???

  • Yes--it's Simple Minds. I heard this song a few hours after Barbaro's doctor announced the laminitis and that the prognosis was bad. Like a lot of fans, I was convinced that Barbaro would fight for his life like he fought on the track. And, with a bit of luck, he'd come through, so no one should sell him short. When I heard this song, the video all came together in my mind in just an instant. Then the "fun" part began: I had to learn how to put one together!

  • Grab the Kleenex and watch a Champ!

Thanks for sharing this with all of those who keep the faith for Barbaro.

Appreciate it more than I can say.

    Nancy

  • good job same as the other guys to much zooming but if you make another one please tell me!

  • HI PAM, I WATCHED AND RATED YOUR VIDEO. I GAVE YOU AN A+!!! I SENT YOU A MESSAGE, HOPEFULLY I DID IT RIGHT.

    CHERYL

    :>)

  • Thanx...got it. Glad you liked the clip. It's got2B redone so it flows better.

  • Thanks for a beautiful video of "our boy" Pa, and thanks to all the blessed people who is saving this precious horses life. Thankyou God! Barbaro, get well soon Boy!

  • Obviously made with love and a deep admiration for Barbaro. I like how you focus a lot on people's faces, showing how it affected them. The zooming in and out was a bit much for me personally, I felt a little motion sick by the end. Keep fighting Bobby!

  • Had the potential to be a great video and would have really enjoyed it but there was too much use of the zoome, the words went by too fast, and a lot fo it was blurry because of the overuse of the zoom. If some of that was changed I'd like it quite a bit, but it actually gave me a headache because of that. Nice try though.

  • Thanks. This was my first video ever, so I made all the mistakes. I had to learn iMovie while putting it together. I totally agree with your comments and plan on simplifying the # of shots, sharpening and working on the transitions so it's gentler on the eyes. Thanks! By the way, these vids are a BLAST to make.

  • I'd love to see you redo it, as I think for a first effort that's a great job. Please let me know if you redo it, would love to see the new one.

  • Wonderful video, capturing the essence of who this horse is and his great short running career. It made me cry.
