It's amazing how all the stuff hanging from the ceiling was kept in place. And, also, there wasn't a cut of power! It makes me think that those things were designed to resist huge earthquakes, and that they did work as expected! I'm an architecture student from a country with moderate risk of earthquakes (Colombia), so we have to think about and analize all those extreme security rules.
@heybroskiiiiman My comment was meant to be facetious. The point of the video is the unexpectedness of the earthquake and the ensuing frightening chaos, not that Japan sells Lego.
I admire the people who had their phone out and filming. I was there...recording was the last thing on my mind. I was just ready to jump, duck, leap, run...anything to survive.
absolutely terrifying as someone from Northern Ireland (where we never get earthquakes I'd crap myself) its funny how Japanese people are just so used to them they hardly react (well most of them - someone sounds pretty hysterical!)
i think what got ALOT of people was that when there is an earthquake you are sitting there expecting it to stop but this one jsut kept going and actually got worse
work at a department store in california (macys) and felt quakes in the store before, I know how terrifying they can be, proud of the way people kept calm in this tragedy, bless them.
Feel sorry for all those people in Japan.

@tt1w3d Thats why you will never be Japanese or understand Japanese. Because you choose to be a selfish insignificant individual.

At 1:15, I was absolutely shocked by this video - I didn't know that Lego was sold in Japan

@LondonAndBrighton Your kidding me, right? Japan isn't some backwards third world country that doesn't have the most basic toy of all - Lego.

In many of the other March 11th earthquake videos, people remain quiet, but not this one - there's a lot of screaming. Which is understandable.
