i dont think it had to do with a doctor, i think it was over use of the vocals probably at her concerts, like when whitney did hers in 1994, the doctors told her to take breaks from over straining and singing, and then after 1995 her voice always carried a darkness to it after.

Recently I have learned that human brain can keep memories of phisical skill you trained a lot before no matter your age.
I think that is the reason why both Mariah and Whitney can belt higer range notes.
Those two have probrems in the lower range though.
I hope they will find solution someday,because Divas gave sprendid performances for us with great amount of sacrifice.

No i really did not forget Whitney Houston is one of the best arguably the best singer this world has ever seen mariah does not touch her if you witness Whitney live its its a power and sound untouchable. Mariah was ok but never will be the same as Whitney. Don't get me wrong Mariah used to be very good but will never touch Whitney.

i personally think that mariah could have sung like whitney as she kinda you the same type of operatic singing in her "1993, Music Box" album..i just think mariah refrained from trying to sound like her...they used to get compared to alot....but you see the same thing know lots of people try to stay away from mariah...and the same thing with whitney she used to be very good now she has a damaged voice

what hes trying to say is that mariah is usually more mobile while performing and usually just doesent stand in one spot..she normally likes to get active on stage, but here shes all voice no enthusiasm..of course its still a great vocal i mean its mariah

my goodness this performance is soo boring and STIFF! It is a jolly song not a funeral song. She should move more a bit. She is too focused to hit the notes though it is simple.She is afraid to go out of tune again. sigh
