in my opinion this is there is there best song yet ... and they're the best band ever so that meand Voice In The Silence = (mind = blown) = Mutemath. Do the math . : )
@bluRayne21 I can't think of the program's name at the time, but it is relatively easy. find any kind of audio recorder (not windows'). preferably one that can encode directly into mp3. once you have that sorted, simply set the actual recording device (it will usually default to microphone) and switch it to line-in. at that point start recording and play the video. one note to pay attention to though is that it will unfortunately record ALL sound, so make sure you aren't doing anything else.
every song mute math has ever played/made is great, old or new, released or unreleased each has meaning and an awesome beat, unlike a lot of today's music
I don't know what you guys are talking about. I have all of MuteMath's albums, and I love Armistice. Lyrically it's amazing, and they continue to push musical boundaries in amazing directions! Keep on bringin' it MuteMath!
no this song didnt make it on armistice.... ive heard the whole album, and to people that think it will be like the first will be disapointed, but there is hope because the album is good. just not with as many songs like control break the same, noticed, chaos or picture. its more of a calm album, which is nice.
eh yea i guess, but it does grow on you after a few plays. im mostly replaying goodbye, the nerve, odds, lost year, backfire, valium, burden and spotlight . again not as great as the first but a good sequel album nonetheless
I totaly agree with you! I had to get used to the new sound of Mutemath. I been listening the first album of Mutemath over over again for about three years. I hope they will bring an Ep album out with some other songs like this one!
They hired a producer's to listen to their new stuff all of them said they liked it but one and they listened to him and wrote all new songs, all those songs are now on armistice. So if you think about it they wrote 2 cd's in 2 years
it was way more intense, alot more angsty and intense tones and melodies. Control is my all time favourite song but musically, I think they improved alot with Armistice, though I like a large majority of all there songs.
They the track list up on their myspace of their new cd Armistice and I didn't see this track..maybe it's not called what we think..I hope. Regardless, the new album will be EPIC!
Darren is one of my favorite drummers, if not my favorite! I love Mute Math! And to the fussy people out there, let's not forget the relativeness of opinion, unless it's an absolute fact!
Stop comparing Mute Math with The Police or any other band! People who say Paul Meany sounds like Sting are wrong... There are some similarities, but PM gives all he owns to sing like that, with his heart... And I think few drummers can imitate DK's sound!! :)
This song awfully rocks! Mute Math should insert this song into their new album =) Its remind me 'Clockwork', and the performance of DK is amazingly crazy'!
Greg mutemath's guitar player,WAS the original guitar player for Earthsuit. He played on the first EP. David Rumsey came later after Greg got cut.Greg went on to play with Jason Morant.Greg then went back to play with MuteMath and David Rumsey went to play with Jason Morant! I grew up with these guys and I actually tried out for Earthsuit and was cut after Greg agreed to join. I then later worked with Greg as a guitar tech a few times and was there sound engineer for a short period.
no lol that was not me, I worked with earthsuit and later a new band simply called math. When I worked with Greg he was playin with Adams Lament(Jason Morant's band) In fact I ran into Greg night before last and we talked gear again
that wasnt the same band.all of the members were in earthsuit but not all at the same time.when earthsuit ended thats when paul meany(singer)and darren king(drummer) started writing material and brought in the guitarist and bassist.
they both are idiots, it was paul and darren in earthsuit, darren quit, and later on paul quit, they both eventually started making little projects, and later on they added greg hill and then after that they found roy, so, yeah :] they got the name Mute Math from darren's email address lol
dude are you sure?, i really think roy and paul were the only ones in earthsuit, i think paul and darren were just friends before mute math, listen to some earthsuit drums songs completly different style
to be honest, these guys going a little bit more mainstream with their music wouldn't be a massively bad idea for them. because we all know they deserve to be huge, massive, and they are without a doubt one of the best bands ever created, with such creativity! I'm not gonna moan about them going more mainstream if this is what they are coming up with... this is fucking excellent. and all of us original mutemath fans will still reckognise their unmistakable talent! Bring on the 2nd album!!!
it was suppose to be this september BUT an interview with paul meany that came out a few days ago said that the CD wouldnt come out until early 09...and he also said if you think their 1st CD is perfect you will hate the 2nd CD.
well im thinking that warner bros has been putting pressure on mutemath to release some more mainstream sounding stuff.so im thinking that musical style mostly, and clockwork and voice in the silence have different styles of lyrics then their older stuff.but what he probably meant most is that they probably wont do a lot of cool instrumental stuff like collapse/reset.idk im sure ill love it.
why did two people give my comment saying that "they were delaying the cd release until early 09 thumbs down".Oh im sorry for sharing information that other mutemath fans would like to know
haha thats gotta be it.just in case you havnt heard mutemath has a new song coming out for the soundtrack of the movie twilight based on the books.i think the soundtrack is coming out sometime in november.the song is called Spotlight(twilight remix).Im so excited!!
drums kinda remind me of Anathallo's "Hanasakajiji 4" if your a drummer you will understand i guess haha. maybe they picked up that awesome work of art. :)
Man this is another example of why mutemath is the best band to come up in the last year...I love this song, the beginning seems a bit awkward, but im sure they will have it sounding great by the time the new CD comes
