  • Great family, super dog! looks like you have tons of fun. You're a lucky man!

  • Hey, excellent video. Gonna try to build one like that, but I was looking at the hose clamps when I went to home depot and I was a little concerned about how sharp the edges/ends were. Would they not puncture the boat from the vibrations after a while?

  • @HelllStorm They are sharp, just wrap them with some electrical tape.

  • sorry for bugging you man but i got same boat and i love yours what the price on the stuff you got on top of your floor and whats it called also i suck at carpeting so how did you cut floor to size and what cordintes your replys are always appreiciated thank you

  • @classrock97 Sorry so late! I used outdoor carpeting from Home Depot and it was really cheap. I suck at carpeting too, but I learned to staple it on the back side with an industrial staple gun. make sure to account for each staple so you don't have a sharp edge pointing out. Also, glue and tape won't hold the carpet on when it gets water logged so I highly recommend staples. Anyway, hope that helped?

  • AWESOME mods! I managed to find the floorboard for my HF360, looking to make a mount similar to this for my Minn Kota 45.

Any chance you could email me some close ups of the rods mounted into the oar locks and onto the 2x2 beam? Having trouble seeing it in the video. :(

  • Rite on man!!! I just bought me a 280 off craigslist. I 'am gonna need these vids man so plz. don't let them go newhere. I live in Panama city beach so we aren't to far from each other. I live on St. Andrews Bay. I'll keep your safety advice in mind too!! Thanks again man and take care!!

  • @jlhnrjd Hey, bought mine on Craigslist too! I'm out here in FWB, just down the road. I plan on keeping these vids up since they seem to get the wheels turning for people wanting to customize their new ride. I'd a strong advocate on DIY and love hearing about others building their own rigs. Thanks, take care!

  • Wow, thanks so much for putting this up for all to see!! I have the same boat and cant wait to trick it out!!! such a great idea with the shelve and rod holders, Thanks , thanks , thanks!!!

  • @rpottorff Well I hope they help! On the shelf, I put my fishing gear bag. Well, trick her out and have fun! Your welcome, let me know if you have any questions!

  • Excellent and thank you. Can't find a mount within 250km (175 miles) give or take so I needed to build. Once I get a decent camera I will show you my mount. Proudly... A decent replica of yours. No hose clamps but drilled holes in the pile and use a unthreaded bolt and pin to secure it. In stead of a shelf I made a wood seat and secured industrial velcro on it which I use to give added support to the 3/4" galvanized pipe (same idea as the sea eagle 9's back seat and mount). It really mak

  • @vanabel10 Thanks! Yeah, I just made the mount as I walked through home depot with a couple basic measurements and imagination. Yours will turn out great! I hope to see it. The shelf... I can fit my battery or tackle box in it. I extend the tiller handle on my motor and sit/stand towards the middle of the raft as I cruise along. (I just use my wife's kitchen step-stool for the seat)

  • sick man thanks for the vid! Im pickin one up next weekend and im gonna try some of your modifications. Thanks man

  • @TheEliteFisherMan I saw your channel, you are quite the elite angler! Good luck on yours, and bring your life jacket and paddle always! You never know what can happen when you pull up a spiny fish like the 6 lb Sail cat that ripped a hole in the side of mine! And bring your patch kit. Be safe Bro!

  • @Cpennington57

So what happened when the tube popped? Does the boat still float enough for you to reach shore?

  • @anhtuanb Well It's not really a tube, rather a chamber. These boats have 5 different air chambers and I punctured the biggest one on the exterior. I realized it right away and got it to shore asap. It wasn't too bad but given an hour or so and not noticing, could have been tragic.
