  • Does this work with the steam version? :)

  • Imagine if the game DB is modded into an exectuable server and the game client is modded to connect only to said server? Throw in a login server and a character database and oblivion online WILL work like a normal online game.

  • this mod is bullshit

  • lol i rembember using this to play coop but with a better one

  • Is this Dedicated Servers? Or just 1 BIG server.. And will they make this for Skyrim? And would it lag like hell?

  • @YansiEvre98 Nah, its individual servers from what I can tell. You can host on Hamachi as well.

  • Imagine played Dungeons & Dragons by yourself... cause it's an RPG...

  • @gigser *ahem* playing****

  • I wish they could put multiplayer in skyrim it would seem realy good to do first person quests with friends over xbox live

  • Yeah its laggy but things get better with time so keep trying to fix this shit! (:

  • I hope multiplayer never come to any elder scrolls game,is a single player game like fallout 1,2,3 and new vegas etc, multiplayer is for childs, anyway there is a lot of MMORPG out there if they put multiplayer options to a elder scrolls game the single player campaign will be very short like 20 hours maybe more, but c´mon that would ruin the whole game so i think thats a bad idea.

  • @Galvorn11 skyrim can be played in multiplayer but i dont think you can do the story but you can dick armound

  • how do i get online for oblivion

  • I hope this game doesn't become an RPG, Oblivion would be retarded.

  • @GamersFromAbove MMORPG*

  • hang on wait for a second theres multiplayer on skyrim

  • @WeAreTheScreamers Bethesda has clearly said that there will be no multiplayer on skyrim. they are trying to make the singleplayer experience the best. Im sure there will be a mod for multiplayer Though. Maybe,

  • MULTIPLAYER FOR SKYRIM!

  • @minernoob90 yes yes and yes

  • @hankparish hey dude how im playing multiplayer?

  • @hankparish how im playing multiplayer?

  • @minernoob90 Too bad there's not going to be online play for it. =(

  • @minernoob90 apparently there will be none :(

  • @minernoob90 I honestly hate to burst your bubble, but I am going to quote Pete Hines (Bethesda's marketing chief) from an article over at CVG.

"It’s not wrong or unreasonable for people to want to experience a game with their friends, or want to do things with folks online. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. What we’ve tried to do is help people understand that in game development, it’s all about trade-offs.

  • @TheGamerUH8 One of our mantras here is that you can do anything – you just can’t do everything.

So certainly we could do multiplayer. Unquestionably. It’s not a thing we’re technically incapable of figuring out. But when we draw up the list of things we’d like to have cut or change in order to support that feature, what we end up with is unpalatable. It’d make a lesser version of the game. And there is no doubt on the dev side that that is the case."

  • @TheGamerUH8 Now, I personally agree with his statement, to cut out anything from Skyrim would prove to be disastrous, mind you I don't actually know about everything that's gone into Skyrim, but I can imagine the corners they'd have to cut. If Oblivion was released with multiplayer, I don't think it would be the Oblivion we have today. To prevent that statement from becoming obvious, of course it wouldn't be the same because of the multiplayer, but we would also have a much smaller game.

  • @TheGamerUH8 However, I do have hope that multiplayer might still be possible in Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls have always had such a prevalent modding community throughout the series, and with each game this community grows. Hopefully, with the tools available to the community after Skyrim's launch, a solid multiplayer component could be created. Just think of all of the commercial games we have today that had their humble beginnings as mods for other commercial games.

  • @TheGamerUH8 What I tell you is this, my brother: a man can dream, oh a man can dream...

  • @TheGamerUH8 ah well... there's a lot of problems with multiplayer in TES anyway. what happens when somebody dies? you cant exactly load a save. how about 2 people picking a lock? if someone wanted to be a jerk they could mod a weapon or spell so that's its mega powered and go and kill all the players AND quest related NPC's i can see tons of problems with it now that i think about it

  • @minernoob90 Oh I completely agree. Mods in general would make multiplayer near impossible. How would you be able to accommodate all of the possible mods you and the other player might have, it just couldn't be done. Well, that's not entirely true, but the players' themselves would have to make the effort to make sure they all had the same mods.

  • @minernoob90 Now, I could see multiplayer being a lot more plausible if it required you run a vinilla version of the game. Now, to deal with the problems you posed. One, I don't think multiplayer could happen without the ability to re-spawn. I understand that it doesn't exactly stay true to the Elder Scrolls experience, but there would be very few work-arounds for this. You could introduce the idea of re-spawning as some sort of lore related element.

  • @minernoob90 As far as your point on griefing is concerned, you would have to specify what kind of permissions the person entering your world would have access to. This same issue was brought up when Fable 2 co-op was revealed, the game simple used an interface that allowed the player who's world was being affected to choose just how much freedom the other joining player had, mind you they didn't do this very well, but you get the idea.

  • @minernoob90 Finally, anything you can interact with would simply be unavailable for the player that isn't already interacting with it. Let's say your lock pick idea, once one player is currently engaged in the lock picking minigame, the other player would just have to wait. Everything I've talked about emphasizes that the power be given to the player who's world is being affected, like the other player has been summoned into their world and can only really play along.

  • @minernoob90 An experience in which absolute power is given to both players just wouldn't be possible in an Elder Scrolls game. Think of Minecraft, while its multiplayer is interesting due to its freedom, griefing can become all too common. I know that in Minecraft, there are server specific ways of dealing with griefing, like having a moderator who could make certain things available to certain players, but that level of power in a game like Oblivion wouldn't really be justified, or immersive.

  • @TheGamerUH8 when i said "Modded weapons" i meant that it is possible to add an enchanted weapon into your inventory that is INSANELY powerful, but it still technically is a vinnila oblivion weapon, it just has an enchantment. i could imagine someone using an editor to make a sword with "fire damage 9999 in 9999 ft for 9999 seconds", basically killing everyone instantly. now there is the work-around of having to start anew, but who wants to have to start over each time they join a new server?

  • @minernoob90 You have a point! I'm not sure what could be done about that. There is a limit to the strength of weapons even you can create, so I would think there would be some kind of system in place that can identify if a weapon is game breakingly powerful. And yes, it would suck to start anew with every single server, but if that rule was in place, you could simply have your character join their world, and any OP items simply... confiscated, perhaps?

  • @TheGamerUH8 For example: praying at a wayshrine or chapel altar that specifies in a god/godess your deceased friend adheres to would cause the gods to resurrect him/her. Also, you could use the soul trap feature in some way, so when your friend dies, you trap their soul in a soul gem, specifically designed to hold a player's soul (so this type of soul gem wouldn't be accepted by merchants or be able to be dropped, like a quest item), then bring the soul at using a spell, NPC, god, etc.

  • @minernoob90 No no and hell no.

  • @BronzeRatz why not?

  • @minernoob90 1. There is only 1 Dragonborn

    2. This isn't Call of Duty.

    3. It's a RPG.

    4. It's not going to happen, confirmed by Bethesda.

  • @BronzeRatz RPGs can have multiplayer. Mass Effect 3 will do. Call of Duty isn't the only online game ever in existence. Ever play any of the D&D games? They're more fun with a friend or two. Nothing's wrong with multiplayer in RPGs even if the story doesn't suit it. I wouldn't care if there were two 'chosen ones' if I got to play the story with a friend. Hopefully a mod will come out that is superior to the Oblivion ones.

  • @JohnABall Mass Effect is an RPG? No, I didn't. The story would suck if there was "one they feared" ..oh..and another one too! I don't get mods anyway.

  • @BronzeRatz Yes, Mass Effect is an RPG. How about Diablo? Or Baldur's Gate? Or Neverwinter Nights? All critically acclaimed RPGs known for their multiplayer. Playing the games alone is fun, sure, but playing them with friends is so much better. The story could easily be handwaved as the second player being simply an ally. Have the host be able to use Dragonborn abilities.

  • @minernoob90 /watch?v=abs_yGod5MQ&feature=player_embedded#!

  • @minernoob90 fuck off multiplayer introduces competitive assholes and ruins gaming, take the COD community for example

  • @beckwithpj WHOA WHOA WHOA What the fuck! did you just say call of duty is a game?

  • @hankparish barely, its a shit

  • @beckwithpj dude don't overreact. COD is an EXTREME example. online multiplayer is in general good. theres only about 5% of people who are like that (and about 50% of people are those who play COD >_>)

  • why don't they make the God damn TES games with multiplayer??!?!

  • @Anakin8th Because Singleplayer already gives you enough stuff to keep you busy for a long time

  • @godmodes Yeah, but that stuff would be much better if you could play it with other people. :D

  • it would be fun to meet others in the arena :P

  • Hankparish: I got to level 20 on the xbox in an hour......no cheating no nothing........just running around and killing stuff. If you think that's bs then that's your opinion. For everyone who wants to level up fast then look up the oblivion leveling system, once you learn how it works everything makes sence.

  • @Moneyzicarion Nice, giving out the local ip and not an actual ip. What a clever and funny joke sir.

  • @Moneyzicarion Lol you dont know shit about computers.

  • @Moneyzicarion thats a fail right there...

  • Can someone give me a server that i can join?

  • @hankparish

Again with being a hypocrite, will you look at your butthurt sentence a month ago? umadbro?

  • @yyz200 ok random internet person #362930432462379872932

  • So...were can I download it...is it good? or real?

  • Is that lag normal? or is it because the connection sucks?

    ~Jkun~

  • try questing or pvp

  • too much lag lol

  • It would be great to play oblivion online with just two or three friends but, no more than that.

  • Lets put it this way for oblivion. Everyone would kill each other! You would walk anywhere and be killed pretty much.

  • cocktesting hall...and you will get what you need xD

  • Everyone who is looking for server... 209.44.122.43:42427 Working 24/7!!

  • someone told me they gona do after elders scrolls 5 a new game call elders scrolls online

  • Can you get this for PS3?!!

  • @54M9DUD3 think about it dude, you cant really mod console games, only pc games can be properly modded.

  • awsome how did you get that. is it only for the pc, not 360. :(

  • although oblivion multi-player coop would be good I could not ever deal the that amount of lag. and the incorrect looking characters

  • need help i canT make a server in oblvion reborn to pc pleace help

  • Hope it comes out for 360

  • @h5e5l5l5o5 doubt it dude, its only really pc games that can be modded properly

  • I simply hate World of Warcraft... i did get to level 6 and then i did cancel my subscription, because i did hate the game. Archlord was muuuch better (but before it did get under a new developer, now it is shit >>) So the only mmos i am palying are Lineage2, Ultima Online Excelsior, and Fallout Online 2238... each game like once in a half year :F . I need a good MMO ;-(

  • The only thing that repulses me is, that they will try to make extreme amout of cash on it, and so the price will be enormous >>. So maybe i will jsut wait for unnoficial free private server. I am still waitong for a free server on the City of Heroes mmorpg. several years for now >> .I did play archlord, now i do play L2 and Ultima, but like one time in two months (i dont play much) so the monthly fee would be unnecesary, and totally stupid for me.

  • @Templayer dude wow sucks until you get beyond at least level 20 (which i can do in like 1 hour) I'm leveling a shaman its level 53 right now didn't take long to do and once you hit endgame content you really need to know your class because it get hard

  • And the other thing i think sucks, is the character creation + parts. The only thing i did want, was an Dark elf without beard >> .

  • @hankparish loool, you can't get to lvl 20 in 1 hour...

  • @evilmaster09 wrong

  • @xxXViiRUSXxx1 Nope, its impossible unless you use recruit a friend, because about 20 minutes will be travelling.

  • @evilmaster09 nope using modio will do the trick or cheating

  • @xxXViiRUSXxx1 Uhm what? Modio is for the 360 and theres no level or mod/cheats on WoW. On oblivion, it is if you cheat but im talking about WoW (see who i replied too.)

  • @hankparish ,with cheats right?^_^

  • @hankparish

imo wow isnt a game, its more of a pay-to-grind untill end game than u actualy have to make a schedule to play in a high end guild to get your leet gear and than when u are fully geared its basicly gg or do meaningless tasks. not my kinda game

  • @oOalteredbeastOo i saw your profile avatar... and your awsome.

  • @oOalteredbeastOo agreed.. nothing like playing WoW at noob-levels though, it was a fun experience for me.

  • @hankparish1 hour? bullshit hahahaha i can already tell you dont know what your talking about.. what is it a private server? wow..

  • @billyboy385 your telling me i dont know what im fucking talking about? Mk lets see... Heirlooms dont give a 15% xp buff? if you cant get to level 20 in 1 hour using heirlooms then your fucking shit.

  • @hankparish thats still cutting it close but i hadnt considered that.

  • its pretty sad when the players of oblivion are the ones making things like multiplayer and mods to it like alternate beginnings and stuff

  • wtf

  • I'm sorry hankparish because those poor cubesolvr and the another one have made your vidoe poor XD

  • I don't need to. I don't go around and speak crappy Japanese so there's no need. But you come here speaking my language in a mangled manner , then yeah, I will say something. (Oh, and nice PM you sent me BTW. "Ugly" is the best you could come up with?)

  • LOL Memo, you somewhat fail a million times. =]

  • ...

  • i dont get it wy isent this on a site to diownload

  • i hope that 1 day this will be fully working mod. It would be great to play oblivion with your friends

  • @3leg3gancer Yeah, it would be a lot better than playing with yourself.

  • @3leg3gancer try oblivion online in google that mods actual goin somewhere this mod (oblivion reborn) is pretty much dead

  • I pitty the fools...

  • fool

  • Comment removed

  • No you asked if you had to download it to play it...and obviously, oblivion doesn't have online, fool.

  • Comment removed

  • @memo911119 are you retarded, speak english?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @memo911119 you said "sayed" its "said". you said "good bay" its "good bye" RETARD

  • Comment removed

  • Do you speak English? I find that hard to believe. You're saying shit that cannot be blamed on typing fast. But if you do speak English, I agree you may be retarded, but if you don't speak English, that's understandable.

  • Learn English before you fail.

  • Q_Q Learn not to troll or worry about what people think about you because its the fucking internet so who cares

  • Evidently everybody except you care. Read the above comments you 'tard.

  • i lost my tool

  • It's called a mod, idiot. and don't try to be Mr T cuz you fail.

  • just because i say the word "fool" that instantly makes me a person who is trying to be a character from some TV show or whatever? sure...i know what a mod is, i have a lot of them on my PC for various, i was just answering this guys dumb post on if you had to download it to play it online, well thats a bit fuckin obvious aint it?...

  • Ur kewl

  • Where can you go in Oblivion Reborn? can you go like everywhere like in normal oblivion?

  • is it lagging ingame too?

  • I want play it host a server

  • How many people can you have in one game and how many would you reccommend?

  • That is what Oblivion Reborn is...

  • i always wanted an oblivion online..bethesda says they wont make one..however try out Darkfall online..hard at first, but similar feel and my friends and i have a blast. Real aiming, full loot, skill based not just leveling; fatnasy based..still improving but check it out

  • something i need to know.. was the other player lagging because of his own network or was it because of the server?? second thing.. are you able to fight?? well.. why not, but you didnt show it in here so i cant be sure.. well.. third question.. can you leave the area, to go do quests?? what if other player has done it already, and there is a guy who dies in the quest?? fourth question.. how about mods?? can you use your own mods or are you able to use mods at all or what?? PLEASE reply :)

  • 1. i live in Canada other dudes in Germany so it was both of us

    2. not yet in the build

    3. Yes you can. doesn't matter if the other player has done them

    4. yes you can use mods. however theirs a catch you both have to have the mod and you both need the same load order.

    hope this helps :)

  • alright :) thanks a lot :)

  • oh same load order!

  • hey, i live in the United states can i still do this?

  • mmhmmm

  • Oh and does this interfere with your single player mode?

  • Mods are mostly only for PC. Consoles are SH** compared to PC. Yes they will do The Elder Scrolls Online (they did register a site for it, did get money to do it etc. and taht is confirmation for me)

  • i hope they'll do a Multiplayer game ( like you could quest together) but not ''Online'' with 3 M of ppl running around ( like Wow/Aion/AoC

  • Yeah a multiplayer coop game would be great, with story and everything. But i think they will make an online MMORPG, and it could be good if they do it rightly. I did always want a First Person MMO RPG with direct controls (unlike other MMOs, where you msotly click and just let the char do the fighting, maybe use some skill... boring) having direct control over char would be great (you click - you swing the blade, you right click, you parry etc.) And yes i know why it is not in the todays MMOs.

  • It is not in most of todays MMOs because of the latency, with direct control over your char, the amount of sended interaction information to server and back woud be enormous....

  • That would be very fun, especially when you can aim your Bow on your own ^^

  • YES, that is the exact thing i did have in mind. Just think of it, standing on a fortres, with other players, shooting deadra and beast armyes that are running to the castle, when the fighters are waiting at the gates. Wohooooooo :)

  • that would be so fun! :D let the Arrows rain over the enemy, but we'll see, they are actually making that possible, OblivionOnline is currently working with Npc synchronization ( so when a mob dies all the other will see it ) that will be so Awesome! :D /salute Mod makers

  • Yep, i know about the synchronization thingy, still the scene of: "Deadra attacking the castle with many players" is pretty far away for now :(

  • yeah, still, they haven't blocked cheats so maybe you could spawn a few deadra in a town ?

or summon a deadra and then copy it ( yes i have tested it and it's pretty fun ) but still without triggers and stuff, they won't move in a special way.

but ( the end of the main quest ) when you are going to kill the big creature/machine that destroyed kvatch, then it's ( like ) a war ? or when Imperial city is under attack..

  • Yep, movement triggers and several scripts. Like to be possible for them to destroy the Gate into a castle etc. Because of this i would maybe like more an MMO than the coop.... if in MMO will be more of these things, and they do it the right way... just maybe.. :) :

  • Well they dont make oblvion online cuz iwll be THE MOST CHALLLEGING THING OF THE WORLD OO

  • can u talk online??

  • May be chat...Not alot of games have Mic chat with em. So RPGs will all be Chat games online.

  • Just rock ventrilo while running it.

  • oblivion you can play online on ps3?

  • No the game isent online this is a mod someone made to play it online only for computer

  • where can i find this mod??

  • is this game online

  • Why dident they make Oblivion online in the first place? it wold be like 50% more people buying it then! :D

  • Probably be too laggy to make it official. But mods can be laggy, so I guess they left it to them :p

  • is it possible to mod it for 360?

  • no its impossible, to mod 360 game u have to have a 360 DevKit.

it costs a fortune. editing a console game is virtually impossible unless u know what u are doing.

Mods are for PC only usually, the only mod-ish thing i know is the the map editor for Far-cry 2.

plus this game wasnt made to be multi-player so it goes even further than a mod. this thing is probably programmed in computer code(c++)

  • "to mod 360 game u have to have a 360 DevKit."

What the fuck, no you don't. You have no idea what you're talking about. To mod a 360 game all you need to do is alter the executable itself, and get it to run on the 360 through an exploit.

lol, "computer code (C++)". Pretty much all 360 games are written in C++, but it's all compiled into machine code, which is just the instructions specific to the 360's CPU architecture.

  • If you have access to an unencrypted executable, then you can modify ANY 360 game, but you need to figure out which parts of the code do what, which is an extremely difficult process without a debugger.

And no, modding a single player game to be multipler doesn't go "even further than a mod", simply because a modification is altering something to be different than it was originally.

Stop giving out advice about things you know nothing about!

  • ok..tell me has anyone done it?

  • Uh... yes?

  • No but that whould be cool

  • i would love to try out having the online version but my laptop runs oblivion horribly unless i have it on very low detail and it still overheats. I need a regular pc that doesnt burst into flames after an hour of playing regular oblivion. =(

  • Dont play oblivion on a laptop unless its a godly laptop =P

  • Check out Oldblivion. It's optimised to run on older systems without looking as garbage os Oblivion's Low Detail setting.

  • Oblivion Reborn is actually just stolen code from Oblivion Online. The the only other things the 'developers' of OR have made are some shitty Tic Tac Toe-type games.

No wonder they say on the forums that progress is slow; they have to wait for Oblivion Online to release another version before they can steal it!

  • umm they kind of work together as they share a similar goal? The lead developer of OR was a developer on the OO team too..

  • No, not really. Take a look at the Oblivion Online forums and you'll see the developers bitching about it.

  • I wish Oblivion WAS multiplayer.... Mostly on the 360 so I wouldn't have to buy anything

  • it would most probably be mupliplayer on pc cause its easyest to mod it there

  • yeah online multiplayer for oblivion, even if they disabled the main story line or you even had to create a hole new character specificaly for online like two worlds
