I still have the disc that this and dozens of other game trailers were on, sadly did not keep the magazine issue though. Although I have never played Kowloon's Gate, I thought the trailer was particularly well done.
This game is a first person RPG, but for the most part are text based. There are many difficult kanji of Chinese historical/philosophical contexts in the game. Unfortunately it's pretty hard to play it without the knowledge of Japanese.
3 months ago, I does watch a video walkthrough of Kowloon Gate. Nowever, the video is eliminated due to the use of violation. Can you tell me the ending of the story?
What the hell is this game about? and how did it end? plus what is the deal with all this supernatural stuff in the game? the real kowloon wall isn't a fraction this creepy.
plus what is the plot anyway of going through a bunch of creepy junk.
I don't think a video walkthrough of this game exists. If it does, it would be old, old, old, and in Japanese. I don't even think a Players Guide was released. Again, it would be in Japanese.
i managed to see this, from that Ultra Game Players cd too. bloody hell, was i ever hopeful it would be translated... in fact, basically assumed it WAS going to be translated, since it was on the disc. my mistake! =(
I was hoping it would be traslated too, but no such luck. I mean, the trailer is in english. I heard from another owner of this game that his instructions are in English. So, who knows!
Well there were a LIMITED and I mean LIMITED amount of copies that were translated into english when released..To this day I look on auction sites hoping to find a copy but whoever does have it does not want to sell it..So I'm stuck with the Japanese copy :(

The game is an FMV adventure game, like "D", "Phantasmagoria", "Obsidian", or many 3DO games.
I don't know how it ended, as I've never played it. I have a boxed copy sitting here with me.
The supernatural stuff, I'm assuming, is part of the storyline, intended to scare the crap out of you.
I'm assuming the plot is to solve some sort of mystery surrounding your life, the city itself... and to somehow escape.
The game came out in the late 90's, so most people have forgotten about this game

@stevewins914 What basis do you have to believe that copies have/had been translated?
snowything1 11 months ago
@snowything1
I read it on a source a long time ago where as little as 10-20 copies were translated
