  • the reason that ring is only worth 10k is the cut. Newer ones are better cut and bring out the beautiful colors that were not done 100 years ago.

  • he's an idiot...the ring is typical Dutch but made until about 1920. The ring is late Victorian to 1920. The Dutch still cut rose diamonds. He should shut up and pay attention to that miserable wife of his ha ha

  • Go To SJ Phillips Bond St London you will see rings like this, not that rare

  • she was obviously not impressed by his estimate on the price.... i garentee she already got it apraised and just came on the roadshow to show off because shes a stuck up bitch lolz

  • I have a pair of diamond earrings with this kind of cut , I purchased them from a reputable auction house, they are 19th century but i think they are probably end 18th century. I collect antiques and jewellery for a while now. I must say that it is annoying to see all these people with these jewels, furniture etc.. they didn`t spend anything not even one cent ! they just got them completely FREE from their relatives.. i always think ..FLBYUOFKFFK!!! No translation i am a lady : )

  • Think of it this way; if you plan to pass your collection down to your children, THEY will be the ones not spending a cent!

  • I will not pass my collection down to anyone in my family, I had two grandmothers with lovely jewellery and they didn`t left anything to their own nephiews, we don`t have any childrens, so i`ll gladly do the same.

  • My mother owns a gold ring that belonged to Axel von Fersen. I wonder what it is worth.

He was Marie Antoniettes lover by the way and he helped the french royals to flee versaille during the french revolution.

  • Kan du styrka att den en gång i tiden tillhört honom om du kan så stiger värdet avsevärt.

Sedan beror det på kvalite mm men ändå skulle vara kul om du fick den värderad.

  • @Sweden80Here that would actualy reduce the price he he he he he only joking

  • that was a huge bummer, i thought it would be like 215,000, but i'm a idiot, i had heard that like some king from some 13th century or whatever jizzed in a cup and it was on the antique road show worth $2 million, anyone know if thats true???

  • @assman12354 yes your kindof right.... the king edward from the previuos century used a sheepgut condom that was found and tested for his dna from the cum stains on it, (yes they re-used there condoms) and fetched 3.8 million from the national condom museum of france. then they cloned him from the dna jurassic park style, but then because he was alive again it made the cum stained condom worthless so they killed him again to bring back value. and before you ask....... this is completely true lol

  • how erregant.i am sorry but i am sick and tiered of all this bad actors i see every day .

  • rosecut diamonds arent worth the same prices as the modern brilliant cuts. rosecut diamonds have flaws such as clouding, fissures and carbon spots. It is a gorgeous ring and I would be very proud to own it.

  • @raisetheflag88 Modern cut diamonds have flaws such as clouding, fissures and other inclusions as well, none of those factor in on price differences.

  • Bad acting again, I guarantee she knew it was a diamond and she probably expected more.

What only $10k for something that rare??? My ruby ring is worth that and it's not old at all.

  • @missmarie273 your ring isnt realy ruby... i snuck in to your house and found it in your safe and switched the ruby with a sucked red sweet. i also took your gold chain with the t-bar :) thanx bro :)

  • A 1780 diamond ring is worth only 10K?!!

Holy cow my 2003 1 ct. diamond ring cost 5,000k! I don'tget that, it's old souldn't it be worth more? Yikes what a dissapointment.

  • @MultiMeli123 Jewelry store markup is several hundred percent.

  • @MultiMeli123

Unless there is a known history behind the item it's valued basically on the materials and quality of the item

  • @MultiMeli123 you're aware you just said your 1ct diamond ring cost you 5 million dollars, yes? I would have sold you one for $4000.

  • Antwerp is Belgium actually, not the Netherlands

  • Is Belgium presently, was part of The Netherlands (The Republic of the Seven United Netherlands (or "of the Seven United Provinces") (Republiek der Zeven Verenigde Nederlanden/Provinciën; also Dutch Republic or United Provinces in short, Foederatae Belgii Provinciae or Belgica Foederata in Latin) till the year 1795.

  • wow, she looked so disappointed. the guy got her hopes up with all the c rap he was coming out with

  • i don't think she rely like when he said 10 thousand she was looking for 100 thousand

  • are steel ruby rings worth anything i got one a ruby the size of that diamond

  • sell it that is one ugly ring take the $10,000

  • how can u say that ring is ugly??

  • Why sell it? It looks fine to me.

  • Lol,,,,, I was just thinking the same thing,,, I would have told him to give me a check for half

  • i love antiques roadshow!!

  • i love it too!

  • I thoroughly enjoy these videos. They remind us that old family items we may not see as significant just might be worth MUCH more than we ever imagined.

  • Very informative. Thanks for sharing.
