I can't afford cancer, so I buy organic. I also consider it an opp'y to vote with my dollar. We are poisoning the planet, extinguishing pollinators with pesticides. Buying organic is my way of supporting my life and the lives of "pests." Bees died out of asian regions so that humans had to pollinate orchards by hand. That is absurd, and preventable.
And don't forget: you can grow your own organic food! Cheap as! Fresh as! Good as! for those lazy ones of you who keep talking about how much more expensive it is!
I always buy as much organic food as I can. :) The majority of food I buy is organic, with an exception to some frozen vegetables, but now I'm seeing organic frozen stuff too, which is cool!
hard just to find organic food in Canada, which is ridiculous cause people are obviously willing to pay the extra dollar, every time i see it in the grocery store its sold out so fast.
I'd love to buy all organic. Sometimes, it's just not feasible money wise. So, I am trying to follow buying at least the "Dirty Dozen" organic & buying other things conventional when that is the case. I wish we had farmer's markets here that sold organic produce..I bet it would be so much easier.
yeah......my mom like to eat organic food. When I taste it, is actually taste better. Organic drink is also good. Currently I'm drinking organic sesame drink and biscuit.
I buy organic probably 85% of the time. Some items are not available in organic so I have to settle on occasion. For veggies and fruits w/skins (i.e. apples), I wash with "veggie wash" that's appears to be all natural. I usually rinse the food really well. Have you used any veggie wash product? What are your thoughts on them?
Organic food tastes nicer because it has more nutrition and is in it's natural state - I didn't think I'd be able to afford it either but since i've stopped wasting money on face/eye/body creams (I only use raw organic coconut oil now) and have cut down on things I 'wanted' but didn't need i've been able to afford more of what my body does need!Try it and see!!
We buy Organics from a local supplier. It's often cheaper than conventional produce if you know what to get. I've often found lots of produce at my local Loblaws which are cheaper getting organic - organic grapes, tomatoes, apples, oranges, peaches, etc. Have often been cheaper then non-organic, but only if you get them at the right time.
Lol, it expensive enough being vegan lol I was going to buy a vegan soy cheese burger right now mmmmmmmmm. I'll buy organic once I'm more financially stable.
I try to mix and match. For instance, I often eat cucumber as I really enjoy it...so I always buy organic cucumber. But something I don't eat often, like red onions for example, I buy non organic. If I could afford to, I'd buy everything organic, but alas...I'm not rich haha.
Non organic food is poison

i'm dependent on my parents for food since they're the ones with the jobs and they buy the groceries... they don't buy organic.

Hey Heather,
Is spirulina full of faeces or contaminated? I'm so confused.
