  • ive got a pink Mahalo 4 string! ;) great and really cool instrument, i love it!

  • Mahalo nui e Brian! To hear that 6 string ʻukulele--wow!

  • Can I buy online?

  • 0:24 - 0:27: Over the Rainbow, anyone?

  • @mc85eu what you talkin about?

  • @KsECD The "Some... Where" bit of Over The Rainbow goes up an octave (think it's G to G). When Brian (presenter) played the notes from 0:24 to 0:27, it sounded like the start of the song - to me, anyway.

I hope that clarifies my cryptic comment for you...

  • @mc85eu Ah yeh, I kinda get what you mean. However, it is a C to a C in the song... :D

  • @KsECD I "C". :-)

  • @mc85eu so Cheesy :D

  • @KsECD Si. (Sorry.)

  • So I'm guessing that an 8 string is more for chords, as opposed to individual notes?

  • Whoa, that first ukulele has really great tone

  • did those have steel strings?

  • @rollerblaker One string is nylon wound with steel.

  • do you sell a double neck ukulele one with a 4 string and 8 string?

  • @superdarkhypersonic1 No I am sorry we do not.

  • @0hurley THanks!

  • Nice vid guyz~ I was a wondering do, i seen some ukulele players play these big ukulele's the size of a guitar and it had six individual strings. What type of ukulele is that??

  • @raybaboon The bigger ones are baritone ukuleles.

  • Nice comparison. I am looking into getting a 6 string, but now I really like the 8 string sound. Oh what to do?????

    Mahalo!!!!

  • on the kanilea website it says that an 8 string model would go for 880...

  • @ohsochill94

You are looking at the K1 with a Satin finish and you did not add the $150 for an eight string.

  • @hiloguitars

    Buy one of each !!!

  • hey, which Kanilea model are you using?

  • That is a Kanilea K1 Tenor six string with UV finish and a Kanilea K1 eight string UV finish

  • Alright thanks, how much does that go for?

  • On Kanilea,s website the K1 Tenor UV finish is $970 plus an extra $140 for the 8 string

  • where could i get extra 8 strings??

  • At Hilo Guitars & Ukuleles

    Tel 808 935 5282

  • Hey, it's brian from Music Village... I miss that guy

  • where da shop at?

  • Hilo Guitars & Ukuleles is located in Hilo Hawaii

    Tel 808 935 4282

  • do they make "low A's" only in a nylon string? I wouldn't want to put a wound string into an ukulele that costs upwards of 500 dollars.

  • Aquila makes a set of strings for a six string Uke where all the strings are made of Nylgut, they sound great.

Putting a wound A will do no harm to your uke people do it all the time. The Kamaka comes from the factory as such

  • I know that it doesn't do any harm to my ukulele, but to me, it seems ... just bad :) But that's cool that Kamaka come with them in already from the factory.

  • As I said do not worry the wound string will not harm your Ukulele.Kamaka ,G string ,Lanikai and kala all use them !

  • normally they dont make low "A"s because the low "g" already serves as the base line for an uke. if you want, you can try put a guitar "g" string on an uke and tune it to an "A" but it wouldnt be as playable i guess. kanileas are well braced to handle any string tension but im not sure about other ukes

  • I used to take trumpet lessons from that guy in California!

  • It is a Kala Tenor with a pick up installed in it ,great value for your money

  • Do not have any used ones in stock.once people buy them they keep them. For further inquiries please call the store at

    808 935 4282

  • thank you very much!

    you speak very well!

I have been trying to find for the longest time what is that black cut-away ukulele on the far right, upper row?

is is a tenor? what make?

    thanks! :)
