  • This is probably a no but did the actor who played Dr. Horrible get really hit? It sounded really real.

  • I wish I would have seen this live!

  • this is amazing! as its a stage performance, its obviously not going to be the same as the origonal, so ignore the bad comments! Drama is meant to be about changing and adapting roles anyway! :-)

  • Everyone was saying how Dr. Horrible was portrayed incorrectly, but I really enjoyed this version of him. It gave him a quirkier, geekier side and I thought it was awesome. He made Dr. Horrible his own.

  • The GARBAGE!

  • you guys are really, really great! when i first saw "dr. horrible" i thought what a good stage production it would make. and you nail it. congrats!

  • Bahahahaha! I love it. Your Captain Hammer did good.... But I'm sorry nobody compares to Nathan Fillion :P This is really great though! I love everybody!

  • I would have liked to see Dr. Horrible be more cynical and sarcastic. He is to peppy. I understand that people think of Dr. Horrible is quite but he can be loud but I don't feel that he is actually evil like when NPH does it.

  • This Dr. Horrible is way too jumpy and imposing, and he seems like he's trying too hard in an annoying way. Just making a character more obnoxious does not equate to good, exciting stage acting.

  • I don't care what anyone else says, this is awesomely entertaining. It cracks me up how you guys managed to remake the movie. I expecially loved the tiny van XD

  • WAY! too jumpy for Dr. Horrible.

  • wow it's been a while since anyone commented on here. a whole year.

    anyway great effert, very entertaining.

  • she over sung the song it need's alot less to work well

  • should have had Hammer "stop" the van with his foot on the hood. would have been hilarious.

  • NPH may be gay, but at least he can tune the gayness down.

  • i was just thinking isn't having dr horrible stand right next to the remote control car defeat the purpose of needing o control it

  • OK you guys, this is awesome. Did you all approach Joss Whedon for a license to adapt and perform? Pay royalties? Is this your adaptation? How would someone else go about producing it? Good work, y'all.

  • Why in the world is Penny belting everything? That's an awful choice for that character. Her actress is trying way too hard to be the strongest singer, as others said.

  • Dani is a soprano, and unfortunately I forced her to sing Penny's alto part. That's my fault. But Dani brings a strength to Penny's character that I feel enhances the story substantially.

  • I like the Moist thing!

  • I enjoyed the Moist segue. :P

  • I love this so much...I always wondered how it would be on a stage show...LOL loved the toy car

  • That's the problem with a theater interpretation of a film-work, especially something so modern.

Everyone compares you to the original. Obviously it needs to be taken into account, but to people commenting "oh, that's not how NPH said the line." "That's not how Nathan Fillion did it." "She doesn't sound very much like Felicia Day."

That's the point. They AREN'T those people. Weigh their interpretation for its own merits, not for how much it does or doesn't successfully emulate the original.

  • i like the guy playing moist more than the guy playing dr. horrible

  • I don't like the casting choices for horrible, penny, or Hammer.

your sets and choreography is phenomenal, but your actors are unconvincing.

  • I totally agree the actor playing doctor horrible turned him into a whiny little bitch

  • He kind of was in the original too frankly. Don't get me wrong, I love Doctor Horrible, but still.

  • I think that if Dr. Horrible is not somewhat whiney and childish, he becomes actually evil, and we as an audience don't like him.

  • @bsnarski People like Dr Horrible because he's human, and relate-able. If he's whiny and childish, then he's not relate-able, he's just annoying. And it's ridiculous to say that if he's NOT whiny and childish then he becomes completely evil. You DID see the original, right? He was a quiet, soft-spoken guy, who had large ambitions. Those ambitions may have been evil (from a certain point of view) but still, he was a good guy. In this, I'm sorry, but he's just annoying. =(

  • that might have something to do with the fact that these are students, and NPH, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day are amazing.

  • :O and you also thought to include Moist! from C!TM. >.> I think this writer might be me in disguise.

  • No, we're not.

  • @Heithius your face is flat,

this is great considering its on-stage

  • @Heithius you sir are retarded

  • The voice is much edgy-er than Felicia day. Not a good choice for penny. Trying way too hard to be the strongest singer.

  • I meant the looks... I agree the voice is not very strong

  • no, the voice is 'trying' to be strong, and sort of succeeding, and that's kinda a bad thing with Penny's character. it tends to happen a lot in these adaptations.

  • The Moist-Part with Moist not singing ist great! Nobody wants to be Moist ;-)

  • I've been wondering how exactly to pull the heist off on stage...so this is how:)

Nice work. Not perfect, but a really good starting point for adapting this to stage. Props all around.

  • Thanks :)

  • "A Man's Gotta Do" was great!
