It should have ONLY repealed those laws which forced segregation. The results would have been fewer race tensions, quicker integration, and our property rights would not have been trampled upon. Ran Paul seems to do a very poor job at explaining what, from my understanding, is Ron Paul's stance on the civil rights act. It is my understanding that Ron Paul fully support the prohibition of segregation by the government. So, schools, buses, public lands and all public employees can not be segregated by race. The reason be is the government has every right to tell how the government should do business, but he does not agree that the government should force private business to do so.
Now, where you think that the government should or should not be able to force private business to not segregated is reasonable question. People more interested in "equal rights" tend towards force private business to not segregated and people more interested in "personal freedoms" tend towards not force private business in this respect. Ron Paul is very big on "personal freedoms" and does not care much for the fed making "equal rights"."personal freedoms" & "equal rights" are both good things

Ran Paul seems to do a very poor job at explaining what, from my understanding, is Ron Paul's stance on the civil rights act. It is my understanding that Ron Paul fully support the prohibition of segregation by the government. So, schools, buses, public lands and all public employees can not be segregated by race. The reason be is the government has every right to tell how the government should do business, but he does not agree that the government should force private business to do so.

People more interested in "equal rights" tend towards force private business to not segregated and people more interested in "personal freedoms" tend towards not force private business in this respect. Constitutionalists / Libertarians have have to defend their position against allegations of racism. Leading to a discussion on how the current penal system unfairly charges minorities. Considering all the interruptions, I think Rand Paul did just as good of a job if not better than Ron Paul in answering the question.

I still believe that the reason we still have racism is because we keep bringing it up and keep celebrating things such as MLK day. All MLK day does in my opinion (and I do not have black skin) is keep reminding us that blacks and whites where different, and in doing so you are teaching new children about racism and they joke around and make racist remarks. I've heard this many times first hand when I worked in a school. So please just stop talking about race its doesn't have to be an issue.

She does not understand property rights. A person should be able to run their business as they like. The CRA has actually hidden racist businesses. It is not even possible for me to avoid racist businesses under the current conditions. Many racist people are becoming millionaires and billionaires with the business they get from races they despise. I wish there was a way to avoid them. The law prevents the racist from being racist publicly so they will just hide it.
