  • Lmmfao@ electrocution.. :( its my first Asian carp conspiracy theory

  • Santora brought me here.

  • Fish don't jump like that when you shock them. They get stunned, stop moving, and float to the surface.

  • Awesome

  • my ass they are being electrocuted ... check out the other hundreds of vids of them on here.. theres even a guy in a rubber dinghy with definitely no electrodes producing the same effect and the "generator" you mention??? what do you think might be pushing the boat through the water???? uhhh maybe the boat motor..

  • the carp are not jumping cause they are startled by the sound of the boat, if you look on the front of the boat the 2 round rings are ELECTRODES this is why the generator is running in the background, it is electrocuting the fish and they are trying to get out of the area which includes out of the water, dont be fooled they aren't being magical and this isn't a phenomena, THEY ARE BEING ELECTROCUTED!!!

  • the news was not kidding when it said they jumped like maniacs!!

  • Don't throw them back! What the hell is wrong with you? Are you trying to encourage them to take over and reach the Great Lakes??? Come on, you know they're invasive! You're smarter than that!

  • are they edible?

  • @dick110590 Totally.

  • @dick110590 yes!

  • caught 4 in a casting net on a science trip and we are keeping them as pets

  • 0:30 That happened to my friends and I over the summer at the lake. We started singing this fish song, and they like came out of nowhere and started jumping on us. It was hilarious.

  • maybe we should all just let it be...like the song america created: '..Just Let it Be...' After all, it is just a fish. At least we still have a food to feast on..And guess what: it's damn cheap! (hoooray!)

  • GRAB YOUR SHOTGUNS!!! WE'RE GOIN SKEET FISHIN!!!

  • @lipslicer noooo, you're sopposed to kill them, one of them jumped in my boat and demolished my pole, i couldnt fish for three days on my one week vacation...

  • @itzhayden1 a real fishermen wld have found a way! so what did you do?

  • Asian people are like Asian carps!!! everywhere tooo many of them :P

  • Holy cow!! I never thought much about these fish until it happend to me yesterday!! A group of 12 of so of us took 3 boats down our local river to hang out on a sandbar. Two bends down from where we launched, these crazy fish started jumping everywhere! It lasted the whole 10 mile ride. Its some kind of sight to see, but also kind of scary. They hurt when they slap ya! And bad for the river life, too. They eat everything, nothing eats them. It's Crazy what these fish do.

  • why do you kill them instead of throwing back i'm curious? is it not eaten in this place or sold?

  • @lipslicer nope not eaten they just destroy other fish

  • Comment removed

  • wtf are you doing, kill them before dumping them over, what your doing is illegal unless you outright kill them.

  • y did u throw them back? u kill asian carp smartones!

  • We usually "knock 'em out of the water" when pushing loaded barges around the Memphis harbor.I always wanted to get a bowfishing rig for my crossbow & take it to work to shoot at them when I was out on the head of the barge.

  • you idiot you kill them! you never throw them back!!!

  • I hope those weren't alive when she was throwing them back. That is just plain stupid if they are alive.

  • @zero0ohm it's also illegal to throw them back alive, it's called re-introducing a invasive species.

  • @flamedrag18 what do you mean by 're-introducing a invasive species' ?

  • MAGIKARP used SPLASH!

  • lol crazy, if they are invasive species why dont ppl just kill them, just drive around and when they jump in da boat just kill them, why throw them back, its only fish, when its a case of invasive species that dont belong in that habitat and they are destroying all other species, just kill them off, we dont have a good enuff natural predator for them here so lets take the balancing of nature into our own hands, we kill off bugs that invade that ruin trees and stuff, water is just as important

  • lol thats awsome

  • Aim that shotgun in the direction of the people that are responsible for importation of this eco-destroying species.

  • These fish were brought into our waterways and have destroyed everything but barge use from Chicago to the Gulf of Mexico. Since they were imported by man/idiots they need to be taken out by man. It would be ashame to kill every species in the rivers but how else can it be done? My days of waterskiing the rivers are done, days of pleasure boating/gone. Why are they called "ASIAN CARP" they were imported from Asia. The morons that are responsible have ruined pleasure activities for thousands of us

  • Some people eat em..they are popular in Asia..they are Huge bastards though..

  • m249saw? =D

  • This is scary...

  • dumb fuckers! don't throw them back!

  • why do they bleed when they end up in your boat?

  • @dick110590 because when they flap around on the floor there scales fall of and they bleed

  • @SyscoVids oh thanks for taking the time to reply!

  • COOL Video. See my secrets how to prepare BONELESS Carp meat. Copy and paste

    youtube.com/user/ledburnerss?feature=mhum#p/u/9/v_2A3avgHOo

to your address bar or click on my name. Or search Youtube for

HOW TO FILET CARP BONELESS AND TENDERIZE BY ELECTROCUTION

  • DONT THROW THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sick people, psycho ass dumbass having fun..they killed the fish and not even eating it,just throwing back in the water..may God punish them with the same electric shock

  • WHY is she putting them back?!? They are an invasive non-native species.

  • They look delicious anybody know if they are okay to eat?

  • @RatBatSpiderCrab they taste really nasty IMO. Good to fair catfish bait though.

  • @RatBatSpiderCrab i wouldn't they are probably ok to eat if you cook correctly but they will taste horrible

  • dude i live in illinois and our boat was hit so many times by them

  • is there like a job to eradicate these guys?

  • ...why would you throw them back in?!

  • @xkait10x you cant keep every fish you catch especially if your fishing commercially theres regulations on size, amount of fish, and things of that nature

  • no telling how big those guys are now. they looked pretty small back then

  • I hate those things.

  • Where's My Fuckin' Baseball Bat?!

  • @mrrunyon the new version of skeet shooting

  • If they have no known predators, introduce alligator gar...they'll keep them in check.

  • these fish jump when they feel they are in danger. if a predator under the water goes after them they jump out of the water to avoid being eaten or bitten by the predator.thats why there jumping because there a boat nearby that they see as a threat

  • This is cool...U don't need hook to catch em...

  • These things are terrible :\ They're really messing up the eco system

  • LOL

  • I've seen this with my own eyes too. No electric generator in our boat. The fish seem to be excited by the propeller. Seems certain RPMs excited them more than others. My experience with them, by the way, was in the Mississippi River near Memphis, and in Memphis Mud Island Harbor.

  • tomatoes are gross.

  • woah

  • look at the electric generator in the boat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats why the fish is jumping

very baddddddddddd they more then what they need and left it into the river.

  • @zaieka that is not why they are jumping. this is a conservation boat and i know almost exactly where it was filmed, cause i grew up there. i am not bad mouthing you at all!!!!!!!! I have been in this location(where filmed) with my jon boat and have had these fish hit me in the chest, arms and legs at a mere 2 miles an hour. lol fun to watch but not to get hit with!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i doubt that's why the reason they jump

  • lmao, idk why this shit is so funny

  • LMAO these carp can whup Dwight Howard or Nate Robinson in a Slam Dunk contest. They got mad hops, probably like a 6" vertical.

lol real talks tho, I hope they don't get too far up north, if these guys get into Lake Ontario, us Torontonians are dead.

  • @cbillz01 keep your daytime job

  • now wont you fish on this river

  • magikarp! i choose you!

  • we should just ride down the river with shot guns and shoot them

  • @paytonjamesrichards Not shotguns, miniguns!

  • Your suppose to kill em before you toss them back.

  • @wojos1989

or thorw them back be4 they are alomst dead~

  • what a N I G H T M A R E!!!!!!!! =^[

  • why do you need to take so much .. just take what you need

  • a lot of people think this video is fake. to those people i say: your a dumbass. this shit is real

  • Holy Carp

  • well now the fish will jump in the boat.

  • thats at moment in the tv

  • SPLASH ATTACK

  • From what I've read they're a real problem. They showed up about 50 years ago. Asian Carp were originally imported to eat vegetation in fish farms before escaping. They are out competing the native fish. They have contests to see who can kill the most of them. No one likes eating them unfortunately. They're getting bigger.

The big problem happens when they get into the Great Lakes, and like Jeff Goldbloom says, "Life finds a way."

  • all tgey need to do is tell the asian people to fish for them and it would be gone quicker then u suspect

  • Why the fuck are they throwing them back after they have beaten thenselves half to death?!.. Either throw them back alive, or eat them.. Don't just waste their fucking lives

  • @jeffaterratops Keep crying... These are pests, they're not even supposed to be there. This is necessary, life feeds on life. The reason they are so numerous in number is because they don't have any natural predators to keep them in check because again, they don't BELONG there..

  • @CaneFu and you're calling people ignorant?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • The problem that they're migrating toward the great lakes, where they will decimate the fish stocks there.

  • Comment removed

  • Where those some kind of electrodes on the front of that boat???? It WOULD explain things!!

  • the funny thing is they dont jump back in asia

  • that's not a bad size fish. are they edible?

  • fuck, someone can make some money off this!

  • No no no no no kill those basteds

  • Why is she throwing them back in???? KILL THEM.

  • damn thats alot of carp, they seem to be overruning the rivers.

  • They should have a chipper/shredder on board and chum them back into the river for catfish and bluegill.

  • Ive been there

  • Good eaten I bet! Fish fry every night!

  • you cant eat them they are nothing but bones

  • @joshua97ify you can eat them there is allot of white meat on them in Asia they fish the hell outta them for food

  • Isn't it illegal to throw them back? They're invasive!

    Kill them all!

  • Isn't it illegal in the States to electrocute animals?

  • @Quentyn73 theyre not electricuting them dumbass

  • I'd shoot them with a shotgun! That'd be fun!

  • when they jump, wack them with a baseball bat !

  • now thats what I call fly fishing!!!

  • why the fuck is she throwing them back, what a fuckin reatard

  • These fish are monsters. U r supposed to kill what u catch not throw back.

  • dont throw them back!!!

  • When i saw her throwing them back, i just couldn't believe it, REALLLY?!

Why don't we get people to get loads of these fish this way and give them to the homeless to eat: there 2 problems solved.

  • kill em all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • who agrees with me that they should be killed when they are caught because they ruin our lakes they are just like the SNakehead fish i was watching river monsters about snakeheads they cant walk on land but they can squirm but they get tired easily and they are natural predetors and should be stopped agree with me yes or no?

  • THEY'RE ANNOYING

  • The asian carp are a nuscance im glad there are none here where i live in canada

  • @Pats1fodora i ment Nuscence*

  • @Pats1fodora

Not right now, but they ARE heading up the state.

  • @Pats1fodora Hummmmm, I live in Canada too. If they make it into the great lakes... they will be in Canada. I bet you are in Vancouver.

  • These are pretty wild. It's Rav, from fark.

  • holy fucking fuck

  • after letting them staying on ur boat for 5min+(?) u throw them back in..

some of them might have died anyway... from the injuries

  • why are you throwing them back

  • the guy whose talking is my dad lol

  • you should kill ever one u get there as bad as gobeys and the ministry of games should be tellign everyone to kill those fish as well

  • helps that they have electricity going through the water.

  • food shortage problem solved!

  • these would make wonderful animal feed/fertiliser if they're not up to par for human consumption. I would imagine it would be very easy to rig up something to harvest them in large numbers to process into fish meal.

  • @Crezelda

Thats the best idea Ive heard!

  • OH MY GOD i would not wanna go swimming there! lmao.

  • I'd love to go swimming there lol

  • I DONT know why anyone would EAT FISH in the EAST, out on the west coast we got fish, you people got poison fish

  • Gee !! Why conplaining??? salmon is expensive ! give me one carp and i will make a delicious fried fish!!!

  • @stigmaweb You can't! They have sooo many bones and their meat is literally rotten!

  • Thank you !!! I wouldn't enjoy eating this fish... It has nice appearance though

  • ur dumb, they are more like a salmon "carp" is the wrong name for them seeing as they arent bottom feeders, they are more like salmon. i have caught and fried theese and they actually are quite tastey

  • They are bottom feeders! The eat up all the zooplankton out competing native fish! If they got into the Great Lakes, the entire food chain would collapse! I highly doubt you fried one of these since they have close to 2000 bones in their body!

  • @bayviewer thank you for not being dumb and full of shit like the others lol its nothing like a salmon, they are disgusting, and they have already ruined the illinios river... they are fun to shoot with a bow tho:)

  • Your welcome, I'm actually doing a research paper on it.

  • @TheBayViewer - good luck with the paper this is an interesting issue. make sure you grammar check the final report!

  • @johnmulligan08 i rather shoot them with a 12 gauge shotgun and turn them into chum ! or blast them with a M4 until i see no more :P

  • They're considered a delicacy in many parts of the world. They're eaten throughout Asia and the Mekong Delta. The Japanese -- who know their fish -- raise them for market. There is a great demand for them in Asian areas of California, New York and Chicago, and a lot of it is processed and exported to places like Israel. I think they taste great wood-smoked.

  • Haha craZy fish

  • so why is that girl putting them back in the water?

  • Pet food factory I say...

  • God these things are taking over everywhere and on top of that we have the quaga and zebra mussels as well....sucks...and today when they said they are not going to work on a long term solution it gets me furious these fish threaten the eco system terribly

  • @Aohan815 well we brought them here

  • so lets figure out a way to get them out. Its our country, its our water, I mean they are living beings with a right to live but not in our ecosystem you know?

  • These fish are starting to invade the Wabash river in Indiana as well. I had seen this but didnt know what was going on. I thought maybe i was witnessing a freak of nature but i guess not.

  • The government should let private citizens setup factories along the rivers to catch these fish for free without tax to solve the problem. The fish head is a delicacy, and the meat can be frozen pack for many fish processed products, the fish remain waste is liquid fertilizers.

  • actually to be honest with you thats a beautiful solution. I really do like this idea! Good thinking :)

  • That might just work, I have heard that asian silver carp is often used for cuisine in China, but assume that is because it's abundant, not because It's a good eat.

  • @sih1688

yeah, best way to get rid of them is to eat them.

  • i feel bad for r fish

  • @100iloveedward Please tell me this is sarcasm.

  • LOL I'm like who cares until 0:28

  • Did you see how many fish were jumping? How is keeping a dozen of them in the boat instead of throwing them back going to helping anything?

  • why the fuck are they throwing them back

  • No shit, that's like catching a rat and releasing him from the trap.

  • @goskateday09 asain carp are bony and unapealing to cook but great catfishing and gator gar bait!

  • because you cant eat them, theyre too bony and they taste like mud

  • @goskateday09

    cuz carp taste like shit

  • @goskateday09 my point exactly, if they need to throw them back atleast "accidentily" stick a knife through their heads and let them "swim" down to the bottom where crawdads will feed on them.

  • @goskateday09 that's what I'm wondering aren't they invasive or something

  • one jumped in my boat and one broke some ladys nose

  • you can eat these things! they taste delicious

  • we can blame arkansas fish farmers for this disaster.........arkansas.......fucking up everything since 1836.........

  • either ship em to haiti or grind em into fertilizer/cat food.....

they could do quite will in southern lake michigan unfortunatly............

  • Where are all the Greens out protesting and yelling and screaming about this ecological disaster?

They just don't seem to care.

  • dont let them back, kill them!

  • r u people fukin retards if they get to the great lakes well have habitat loss. and we are the cause of it.

  • What are horrible invasion. I hope people are catching as many of them as possible. Catch em, kill em, and or eat em up! There shouldn't be a catch limit on them.

  • MAGIKARP! USE SPLASH ATTACK!

  • Maybe we have found the answer to world hunger!
