Charge: Definitely suiting. TRAINS!

Gravity: I love it, it almost has a progressive vibe.

Crystal: He got the mandatory mysterious theme, that's cool.

Stone: Average.

Star: Spacey and relaxing, perfectly suiting for the boss and level, awesome.

Napalm: Lamest theme for the most badass robot.

Wave: Well, it gives the feeling of being in an open sea, I'll give it that, but too slow.

Gyro: Very good in some sections, very lame in the rest.

None gave a "You are doomed" feeling, that's sad.

Ugh. I hate this one next to MM8. Except for the Protoman stage, there isn't a great theme in this game. The themes in this one are good at most in my opinion. I always think some of the songs could be a lot more epic, or just not belong at all.

The songs aren't so bad compared to the weapons. I could easily beat every robot master with the Megabuster. Only Gyroman's weapon could prove useful in situations. One time, I tried to kill a Met with Crystalman's attack. It took 3 shots to kill the most basic weapon in the game and the Megabuster only takes one shot. That's fricking pathetic. It just looks like they threw more effort in the background designs for the level than the actual game. That's just my opinion.

After re-listening, I was surprised how much I liked MM5's music. It's right up there with 2 and 3 for me. Wave Man's music always stood out in my mind, but I had forgotten how good Napalmn Man's music is. This soundtrack is a huge improvement over MM4.

I try to make the videos so that every theme can play out fully one time, then after it starts to loop I gut it and put a new one. That way everyone can hear the basic idea of the theme, but I still get to have room to put other themes on.

Of course I personally would prefer full themes, but youtube's idiotic time limit doesn't really leave much choice...that makes me a sad panda sometimes :(

Hmpfh, these tracks sound more like they were written for a regular band setup with occasional solos and all, as opposed to traditional looped chiptunes - a little depth never hurt anyone (except ignorant chavs). Uh I think I can imagine why you see Bass in star man. The basic design is the same as Bass'. The helmet is the same, just without Cobra designs on it. The eyes are also of the same design. Half-circles below the helmet top always making him look angry. The only thing missing are the purple marks below the eyes. He has almost the same face. That's why.
