You should listen to more of the recordings. The things she talks about really show where her priorities were. And she was very much trying to cover her tracks. She kept talking about how jealous Kurt was that she was doing shows and that he was doing venues which were somehow not as "glamorous" (her word) and she also asked some guy named Larry to add a bug to a girl named Caitlin's phone. Kurt was talking to her about divorce & they they had a pre-nup so if he was she would still get his $.

I am sure that she has borrowed money off the potential royalties and merchandise as well. I remember CL's lawyer asked for them "because they might leak to the media" and the answer was that they were not developed & that they wouldn't give them to her for legal issues. @owizewon last interview Tom Grant did in 2011 that I heard was that these rolls of film should be, if everything is where it's supposed to be, in the evidence storage area of SPD with anything else they retrieved from the crime scene. My bet is that they probably disposed of all of it once it was ruled a suicide.
@owizewon the reason I suspect that everything was disposed of is the fact that they gave CL the original suicide note AND the shotgun, which would normally be kept as evidence. Other things would be the pop can, the clothes he was wearing, and the works kit. The film is the property of SPD so they would dispose of them if they chose not to develop the pics.

What's interesting is that Courtney hasn't brought a lawsuit against Tom Grant, even though she has threatened to, has an army of lawyers at her disposal, and god knows, has enough money to go through with it. That suggests that she's hiding something and doesn't want the details of the case to be scrutinized in a courtroom. I find it unimaginable that if she were really innocent of the accusations Grant has made against her that she wouldn't have sued him by now.

You can find the complete statement, in its proper context, in Wallace and Halperin's second book. The jist of what Courtney said was that Grant hadn't told any outright lies and that she thought he sincerely believed the accusations he was making.
@wolzek It's the part about his not telling any outright lies that hits home. I don't see anything in the whole statement that would make that part any less true. In part 2 of Project Unplugged, CL tells TG that he is the best detective (or PI...I can't recall exactly atm) she knows. All of that only escalates Tom's credibility. :)

Its quite obvious that it was not a suicide. He had 3 times the LETHAL injection of heroin. He wouldn't be able to even hold a shotgun, must less shot himself. My theory is Courtney Love let injected him with the heroin and then shot him, then left behind the "suicide" note. Most women that are famous because of their husband's only want money, drugs, and fame. That's the way I see it.

That they should let it go cause it was a probably a wild relationship between the two on top of the drugs and everything else & other people overdosing. @TheViva11 I don't know if you're aware, but right now this case is closed because it was labeled a suicide. It's not even in the Cold Case file. Still, I hear of suicide cases that reopened and reinvestigated years after the fact. It seems, from what I've seen, that those are mostly then labeled homicides. It's worth it to try. :)

@TheViva11 That's what the media would have you believe. The SPD was set up to believe Kurt committed suicide, which is obvious from the police records. They looked at the staged scene and decided it was suicide without even investigating further. The determination of cause of death usually takes quite some time...not done on the same day as the body was found. So Kurt's death was ruled too soon. It does seriously need to be looked into again.

She was desperate to get that fake suicide note heard to fake out all the fans, she gave away a bunch of stuff, her subconcious way of buying peoples sympathy, trying to convince them that she's just a grieving widow. NO grieving widow who loved their husband would give away their wedding rings, which is what she did. She was so desperate for people to believe her.

You should listen to more of the recordings. The things she talks about really show where her priorities were. And she was very much trying to cover her tracks. She kept talking about how jealous Kurt was that she was doing shows and that he was doing venues which were somehow not as "glamorous" (her word) and she also asked some guy named Larry to add a bug to a girl named Caitlin's phone. Kurt was cremated (no body, no forensic evidence). CL payed off the SPD, I can guarantee you that. They returned the gun to CL, who proceeded to have it melted down and disposed of. all evidence is gone now.

My bet is that they probably disposed of all of it once it was ruled a suicide.

Other things would be the pop can, the clothes he was wearing, and the works kit. The film is the property of SPD so they would dispose of them if they chose not to develop the pics.

What's interesting is that Courtney hasn't brought a lawsuit against Tom Grant, even though she has threatened to, has an army of lawyers at her disposal, and god knows, has enough money to go through with it. That suggests that she's hiding something and doesn't want the details of the case to be scrutinized in a courtroom. I find it unimaginable that if she were really innocent of the accusations Grant has made against her that she wouldn't have sued him by now.

The last few lines of the 'suicide note' looking forged, and the practice forge papers? BUT they don't seem to have a way to convict her. I mean, it's a 20 year old case.

While I am convinced Courtney hired someone to murder her husband, this is a misstatement of what Courtney actually said in that conversation.
You can find the complete statement, in its proper context, in Wallace and Halperin's second book. The jist of what Courtney said was that Grant hadn't told any outright lies and that she thought he sincerely believed the accusations he was making.

@wolzek It's the part about his not telling any outright lies that hits home. I don't see anything in the whole statement that would make that part any less true. In part 2 of Project Unplugged, CL tells TG that he is the best detective (or PI...I can't recall exactly atm) she knows. All of that only escalates Tom's credibility. :)

@GoddessFourWinds - What I meant is that Courtney's statement doesn't come across as an admission of guilt when looked at in context. In that same statement, she actually whines about how "hurt" she is that Grant thinks she could've done this to her husband.
And yes, in another statement, she does say Grant is one of the best P.I.'s she's hired, but I took "best" to mean "most moral" or "with the most integrity" in the context she was saying it in.

Its quite obvious that it was not a suicide. He had 3 times the LETHAL injection of heroin. He wouldn't be able to even hold a shotgun, must less shot himself. My theory is Courtney Love let injected him with the heroin and then shot him, then left behind the "suicide" note. Most women that are famous because of their husband's only want money, drugs, and fame. That's the way I see it.

Blood circulates throughout the body 7 -8 times every minute, on average.. Kurt was supposed to have rolled down his sleeves, packed the drug kit neatly, positioned the shotgun and pulled the trigger after taking a massive dose of heroin.

That they should let it go cause it was a probably a wild relationship between the two on top of the drugs and everything else & other people overdosing. You cant trust no one and no one can assume cause if they really knew they wouldve been solved the case or somebody getting paid some good hush hush money. Just like Tupac and Biggie also unsolved.

@TheViva11 I don't know if you're aware, but right now this case is closed because it was labeled a suicide. It's not even in the Cold Case file. Still, I hear of suicide cases that reopened and reinvestigated years after the fact. It seems, from what I've seen, that those are mostly then labeled homicides. It's worth it to try. :)

@TheViva11 That's what the media would have you believe. The SPD was set up to believe Kurt committed suicide, which is obvious from the police records. They looked at the staged scene and decided it was suicide without even investigating further. The determination of cause of death usually takes quite some time...not done on the same day as the body was found. So Kurt's death was ruled too soon. It does seriously need to be looked into again.

Watch Courtney's interactions with fans at Kurts public memorial, when she reads the suicide note. She was desperate to get that fake suicide note heard to fake out all the fans, she gave away a bunch of stuff, her subconcious way of buying peoples sympathy, trying to convince them that she's just a grieving widow. NO grieving widow who loved their husband would give away their wedding rings, which is what she did. She was so desperate for people to believe her.

I've heard these tapes before and always thought the bitch was quirky, but in the tapes she sounds (at times) malevolent and suspicious. To accuse her of murder would be speciously-reasoned. Look how she's chosen drugs over her own daughter, Francis was more mature than courtney by the time she was 6 years old. I heard her story on MTV's behind the music and she sounded really honest, even though that episode ain't reliable. She's either a wonderfull person who deserves respect from the whole world, or a really, really good liar. Still i dont like the pictures in this video, makes her look negative, as if its sure she did it.
