This story shows just how pitiful and intolerant this world has become. Could these publishers have followed their religious doctrine and chosen not to be sexist and censor their paper? Absolutely. The story was about Bin Laden, and they could have just as easily shown a picture of him in regards to this story. Its this kind of behavior that turns people towards atheism. if you can't use the picture, don't publish it. use the one you prefer, and work within your means if you wish to report on the real world. the picture wasn't supposed to be altered in any way, and distorting facts of this nature is borderline propaganda. the unsettling thing is that any photoshopped pictures, in a clean digital form, will forever be mixed in with the real ones, diluting facts as image galleries rapidly become modern history books.
