  • Hi i was going to make my own scale model house but just cant find a good video on how to make the stairs so could you make a video showing how to

  • @Cr4aZySc0pe2 If you look back in to my older videos, I have one explaining how I did it on my other house. It's not that great though. You may want to look up how real carpenters do it and them mimic that

  • How does the dimensionality of a popsicle stick compare to a real 2x4 or 2x6 stud? Would be neat if you could uncover the roof, or entire floors. Your house looks really cool, great job! Did you use elmers glue?

  • @RobertMOdell I think it would equal like a 2x12 or 2x14, which is why I don't do small rooms. I used hot glue because it dries fast. If you check my channel, I built another house that is much nicer than this. It has working lights and a fully finished interior.

  • dude when i first saw this video i was like omg i should build something like that so i did and it has lights in it a switch on the front and even a motor powered fan with a light upstares so i was wanting to say thank you for inspiring me to make something like this and i will also try to make a video response so u can see mine

  • @coolkiller1232 Very cool, I'd love to see it. Have you seen the time lapse of my other house? It's much better

  • wery good... this is good model :)))

  • Wow, great job!!

  • this is a cheep hobbie i like it

  • what did you use to cut the sticks with?

  • Can you teach me step by step?

  • @spurs2077 I'm making a tutorial series right now the first 2 videos are up I am editing the third right now

  • How many sticks did you do it?

  • i first wached this movie thinking i could get some idas for my breyer barn ( a breyer is a modle horse about 5in tall) but not only did i get idas i got inspierd to make hopfly the best barn in my stables! thanks alot!!!

  • @BreyerGals678 Cool! Thanks! Post a video when you're done, i'd love to see! I just finished building another house, it's even better. I have a video of it on my channel. If you need any help, let me know.

  • Great architect work; very impressive to see someone young doing something constructive, instead of vid games all day.....lol keep doing this and you will end up as a kickass Architect; best of luck.

  • @lisaelledge Thanks! Did you see the time lapse for my second house? It's much better. It's on my channel

  • This would make a great house for my dolls! lmao jk

  • @RobinE12345678910 The funny thing is, when I was buying the electrical supplies for the lighting in my other house, I had to buy the stuff at a doll house store.

  • @TheMrFinneth Lol ! Well it came it good anyways :)

  • paint it, then get a small baby mouse, im sure hed love it ;D

  • Only $80?

if you spent 100 hours on it (Wich I wouldn't doubt you did it looks good)

Thats 80 cents/ hour labor and that dosent include supplies.

Sounds like a deal to me!

  • @thagoose480 Yeah I'm not building these for people anymore. But when I said that, I figured no one would pay more than that any way. Check out the time lapse of my newest house, I just uploaded it. That house cost me $250.

  • Wow, this is awesome :) You should take classes on architecture. You'll master it, I bet.

  • Rich bastard... still epic tho

  • @OwnerOfOwn Uhh yeah I'm definitely not rich but thanks.

  • @TheMrFinneth large house thats all.

  • @OwnerOfOwn It's only 3,100 sq feet 4 bedrooms 2.5 baths not that big.

  • @TheMrFinneth the two story was what got me i guess.

  • So, do you use the little green house I see in the video every so often for building inspiration?

  • @greeptown I was just using it as a straight edge haha but I don't have it anymore, I burned it in another video.

  • You got a permit to build. If not, it's gotta come down. (great work)

  • dude, this is AMAZING! i love the house and i will try to make something like it,of course alot samaller cozz im a begginer! jajaajajajajaja is not amezing

  • thats mad

  • Once again : AMAzing HOUse and I really would like to know if you could give some tips about planning the building AHEAD of actually building it? That would mean alot1 Thanks

  • @garfield10101011 When I get a change I'll make a video for ya

  • dude, this is AMAZING! i love the house and I will try to make something like it, of course alot smaller cozz im a begginer! Just one question if you made the house according to a plan, could u give some details about it if its ok with you? or didi you just make it up along the way? At any rate, I LOVE IT! Its sooo cool! I wonder if you would consider making something taller rather than wider like maybe a skyscraper or the like...? I dunno just thinkin it might be cool.

  • where did you get the popsicle sticks

  • @Razzi055 ac moore and michaels but you can also buy them online

  • lmao! I like the part where the random plate of food popped up! Seriously though you are extremely talented!

  • that must have takin a whole crap load of work whanna make me on free of charge

  • @awsomeamerican12 Lemme think about that uhhhhhhhhhhh... no

  • wow, just wow, did really good with just using popsicle sticks! Its a great way to start model building. Have you had anythought of trying to make a model house to scale using any other type of wood, to make it greatly detailed in the future cause i think you got real talent.

  • @thatjellyfish I like to use popsicle sticks because they're strong, even though they are out of proportion with real lumber (they're like 2x12's). The house I am building now is made with popsicle sticks, but there are no visible round edges. For small details like trim, fascia, etc, I use other wood types. But like I said I like popsicle sticks for the strength, something like balsa wood would be weaker

  • Love your house please make me one(free) Lol

  • Great job with the house! you did a very good work with that house.

  • HOLY FUCK U R FREAKING AMAZING AND TOTALLY SKILLED THAT HOUSE IS SOOOOOO FUCKING AWESOME I ALMOST SHIT MY PANTS JUST WATCHING THIS

  • @TheKAS68 Sorry to hear about your pants, but thanks. You will really defecate yourself when you see my new house, which will be done soon.

  • @TheMrFinneth hahaha lol funny i cant wait 2 c your next project :D

  • when can i move in

  • OMG DID U SLEEP?

  • Are you kidding me?! $80? For that many hours of work?! Damn, you must really like doing this! I would have said like at LEAST $200. Great job. My houses all sucked :P

  • @jamesjamesjac I do really love doing this, but who would buy this pile of junk for more than 100 bucks? I wouldn't sell this one any way, and I would probably raise the price a bit for future ones

  • what are u useing to keep them down? glue? tape?

  • @sorazon111 Hot glue

  • @xxxDORISxxx31 You can just look in one of the many windows

  • @xxxDORISxxx31 I just made them by gluing several sticks together in to 1 long one

  • amazing...where did u find all those sticks...and the creativity plus time to do this?

  • Plzz

  • Hey can u make a roller coster out of popsicle sticks

  • how do u make the sticks stay upright/vertical?? while u put on the floors/roof on the other side??

  • @animecraver The actual flat roof part? Those have framework behind them to hold them together.

  • @TheMrFinneth oh~ okay, thank you! and u're really awesome!!

  • OH

    SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

  • amazing

  • Can I rent that place...

  • @BaxterBono If you can fit inside

  • @TheMrFinneth LOL

  • @TheMrFinneth LOL

  • you changed the song?

  • @Sk8erkingguy78 youtube offered to pay me with google adsense but first i have to remove anything copyright

  • @TheMrFinneth and btw im the guy from facebook lol

  • Hey, where could I get popsicle sticks?

  • @Misuhree I get them at michaels or AC MOORE. they have websites also

  • @Misuhree you can get pop sicle sticks in boxes like that at craft stores, or wal-mart

  • @Misuhree Michaels.com ACMoore.com i believe

  • @TheMrFinneth can u make a barn NOW that i'd buy!!! :D

  • @TheMrFinneth Has anyone payed you to make a house before? And if so how much have you earned from it?

  • @Anthrx11 Nope

  • your awsome

  • bloody amazing!!!! What else can I say? Really creative dude!!! Great looking model with no flimsy looking bits or anything!!! Great t shirt aswell and nice to hear Bob Dylan

  • muhahaha 0:16 - eating :D

  • wha do you mean 24 floorboards?? *curious*

  • @GlamFan14 I bought these stupid things called wood slats they're like 5 inches by 10 inches or something, I'm never using them again. They come in packs of 6

  • omg this is so awesome ive done like smaller versions but this is like the king of all popsicle stick models

  • @GlamFan14 Haha thanks but no the one im working on now is the king it has electrical and full finished interior and all that haha

  • Freaking awesome man

  • thank you lord he cut the runded ends off lol i dont know why but the rounded ends make me soooo angry lol

  • @cren567 Haha I know what you mean! On my next house there will be no round edges at all (on this house i left them on the corners)

  • Ha ha. Cool. That's so cool how you can do that. You are really talented

  • @MsGreenified Thanks believe it or not I measured nothing - I guesses for every measurement

  • Can you make tutorials, like each five minutes, of the process of making a house in real time? I lobe making big things out of Popsicle sticks, and I want to make this!

  • @MsGreenified You mean record the entire process? That would be like 300 hours of footage lol. Maybe I'll make some of those when I'm doing more interesting things

  • How did you make the sticks all of the right sizes? And did you make it up as you went along? Or did you plan?

  • @MsGreenified Well it's my house so I knew what the floor plan was but yeah, the measurements and stuff i did make up as I went along. to make the sticks the right sizes, i would assume you mean like framing walls or doing like wall or floor sheathing? I just put the stick where it belongs, drew a pencil line, cut it, then glued it on. As for other things like intricate measurements, I just got lucky :P

  • That's amazing!!!!!!!

  • what did you use to cut the popsicle sticks?

  • @oLiKeLiQUiDo Yes 300 hot glue gun sticks. And I am an average joe so yes, i taught myself all this as i went. I was only 14 (15 now). And have never really built anything

  • I cant talk.....My jaw is glued to the ground

  • do u use tape or glue or hot glue gun

  • @Sk8erkingguy78 hot glue

  • Fuck i wish i could do that, When i try it goes lopsided

  • @mrbraydon242 There are some tutorials on my page if you're interested

  • @TheMrFinneth thanks man

  • what do you cut the craft stick with? because i use a pair of scissors to cut it but it doesn't really work much. :)

  • @konnieize Well I use these things that look like wire cutters. They're like scissors on steroids. Just go to like a hardware store and look around, I'm sure you'll find something

  • @konnieize thanks a lot:D

  • hey nice video man

im making myself a 2 story house too.. smaller tho and check it out im posting vid's of it but not finished

and hey help me out on the roof ..i need some ideas

and everyone else pause at 1:54 lol

  • @yootube95 Okay i will and lol. You laughing at my xbox pants? Also, there's a frame in there where I'm in mid-yawn. I'll have to watch these clips frame by frame (it took a picture every 10 seconds)

  • @TheMrFinneth ya man i was looking at the yawn part it looked like you were roaring

and hey i did some more progress on the house

i i need to do is the roof now

    help me out

    give me some ideas

    thanks

  • @yootube95 Okay, I'll keep watching them. If you need help, I have a tutorial on roofing

  • nice job dude!!

  • o_O woooow!!!!!

  • two things why have it cost $80 and what do you with that tape.

  • @flamepowerful

    1. It cost me 40 dollars to build, and took about 250 hours... so if I were to build this for someone else, I would just double the cost and make it 80... so i would make 40 dollars profit... thats like 16 cents an hour haha

    2. When I make the walls, the sticks have to stand on their sides so I need something to lean one against so it doesn't fall over

  • patience, EPIC patience

  • Nice video and this should be more than just 80 dollars,

anyway please check out my video popsicle masterpiece becuase it really needs more views.

    keep up the good work.

  • @RespectMyHate Very nice house, I love the detail.

The reason it's 80 dollars is because all I do is take the cost of materials and times it by 2. I'm not looking for a real big profit, I just enjoy making the thing, so it's like I get paid with fun :)

  • what do you mean by 'cutters'?

does it matter what kind of scissors?

    that is awesome vid.

  • @lisaelledge They're like wire cutters. They look similar to scissors but they're stronger. You could use scissors (what I did at the start) but it ruins them and hurts your hands a LOT

  • This not good ITS AMAZING!!!!

  • @ItsGabeTime Thanks! I'm starting my next house a week from today, there will be a video from the start

  • I'm a model builder too, and i'd like to film and document my building process as you did. But i haven't quite found a video camera that does the job, but you did it with (two) webcams.... Can you please explain how? By the way: Great work!!!

  • Hello mr finneth i am in the 8 th grade and i want to build craft stick houses just like u . I wanted to ask if ur smart n school just like i am . Umust be smart i suppose to build something like that . Was the house hard to build and did u have expieriece at first

  • @Trashmaster427 I had no experience crafting, and had no experience with how things were built. I just googled how real houses were built, and I did the same. I used almost no math, the only math is basic, just finding how long walls are and things like that. I learned as I went basically, and on my second house, which I am starting in less than a month, I will use what i've learned to make a much better house.

  • Hey this awesome! I'm thinking about making a popsicle stick house too. except for roofing and siding I'm going to use 1 mm thick wood. really good job!

  • @Hansdolo20 Thanks :) and good luck. You should post a video of it when you're done, I'd love to see.

I'm going to be starting my next house on the first of April

  • Nice home

  • Nice video. I like building Popsicle Stick House too.

  • Cool video man!!! Good luck with your business. Sorry for spamming you. Just trying to get my music out there. By the way, great choice of music for the video. Bob is a hero of mine. One of my favorite songs of his is another long one called "Brownsville Girl". I think there is a version on youtube. Anyway, take care!

  • @wyatbroadcasting Wow now I feel bad, if you saw my videos and just wanted me to hear your song, that's fine. I thought you just picked a bunch of random names and sent them you video.

So yeah sorry, and thanks for the comment :)

  • can you please make a tutorial for building the small green house

awesome house btw must of taken ages but it turned out great :)

  • @LsandiiTalent Thank you and yes. I already made like 4 tutorials, I just have to edit them. Subscribe or check back in a few days and they'll be here.

  • fantastic house! was there instructions that you followed? i would love to build something like this. again good job!

  • @megajackpink Thanks!! And nope, this is actually a model my real house, I drew out the plans and just built it. I've never really built anything like this so I just figured stuff out as I went.
