I'm not gonna tell you what to eat. You can eat what you want. I do feel like fat people and even skinny people that are outta of shape and don't eat right, should NOT eat animals. @irishpride357 It's not that many of us object to the consumption of an already dead animal, it's really more of a boycott, so to speak. Vegetarianism/Veganism is first and foremost the effort to make an economic impact on the meat industry by reducing demand.

I actually had vegan italian "sausages" the other day and those fuckers are soooooo GOOD! I couldn't believe how good they are regardless of them relating to a meat. I still get cravings but it always ends in my appetite getting lost after I remind myself why I stopped eating meat in the first place. It's nice to have a replacement that's healthier and makes meat's taste and consistancy, irrelevant.
It took me way to long than I wanted, to stop supporting this stupid excuse that eating meat is ok because of how are teeth are formed, we need protein, and animals eat animals. First, are teeth work just as well on fruits and veggies as animals with bigger teeth than ours, plants provide everything we need, and animals that eat other animals don't know any better like we do so stop with the "jump off the cliff" excuse. Maybe some vegetarians are snobs, but for good reason.

And I guarentee those fruits and veggies you buy are farmed with methods that are really really destructive to the environment... and guess what? Animals live in that environment. And what about the various products you use every day? How many of those are tested on animals?
I grow my own and I have an indoor garden so I'm set. Also, I don't wear ANY animals products nor do I purchase animals products included those tested on animals. There are plenty of companies that provide alternatives to animal products and most products aren't even important worth having.

I'm completely for animal rights and all that. But I also accept that I, as well as most people, will not give up meat. But I will also not support any company that allows for the abuse of any animals. So the meat I eat has either been humanely hunted, raised humanely by family, or i buy meat that has been hunanely raised. I also eat MOSTLY veggies. That works out pretty well for me and I think could work for others if we all start supporting our local farms, farmers markets, and co-ops.

Let me level with you... I own goats, mostly for dairy and fiber. I love my animals. I raise them with care and caring. I don't have a huge herd, enough to sustain my family and trade. Some years I don't need to grow my herd and male kids are almost always not required. I love my animals, give them the best I can afford and I kill and butcher them myself. If I didn't have the courage to look these creatures in the eye and do this myself-I would quit meat.

This has made me respect these guys a hell of alot more than i already did. It's honestly great to see these guys advocating animal compassion and vegetarianism, especially when they would be considered by many as 'tough', and 'toughness' is often assosiated with eating meat and 'being a real man' or whatever. To the people hating on vegetarians and vegans, you may not agree with it, but it's a lifestyle choice, it's not affecting you in any way so i dont see why the hate is nessesary!
I think a lot of people don't realize that if they get rid of the "industry" part of our food we'd all be better off. Buy local fruits, veggies, and even meat and dairy products. The animals are treated with respect and it's better for the environment, you, and the animals involved. Hunting is also a great alternative. The less processing involved with your food the better.
Are you suggesting that human beings model all our behaviors on what other species do? Dogs eat meat, but they eat their own shit too. Some animals eat their own young. There are a lot of good reasons that people go vegan. It's political, health, compassion, environmentalism, etc. Lots of naysayers here posted, but naysayers are like scared little children, basically. What they are really saying is "i'm afraid of new ideas" as they clutch at more evolved thinkers that are leaving them behind, trying to drag them down. Arguments like "what about plants feelings" just make me laugh and really show how childish and unthinking these posts are.
Get some new ideas, read some books, and learn how the meat and dairy industry doesn't give a fuck about anything except money. America is fat and unhealthy, and veganism is the answer. You can get all the nutrition you need with a plant based diet. "Diet for a new world" is a great book to read to learn more.

Well I am a proud carnivor, I know that meat is the flesh of other animals. I've been on farms, I have relatives who own farms, and I've been to some really shitty farms. but I've never seen Farmers or farm hands that go around with whips and torture devices and openly beat and mame their livestock. My great grandpa owned his own farm and he raised beef. I never heard anything about him or his farm hands beating the live stock.
The cruelty youre talking about is found when animal rights get in the way of profit. Large companies have to cut corners to compete and are almost always found to have practiced (or have employees that practice) unethical methods, whether its fast food or high street clothing. However if you truly respect animals, you wont think killing them for self gain is ethical either.

I actually had vegan italian "sausages" the other day and those fuckers are soooooo GOOD! I couldn't believe how good they are regardless of them relating to a meat. I still get cravings but it always ends in my appetite getting lost after I remind myself why I stopped eating meat in the first place. It took me way to long than I wanted, to stop supporting this stupid excuse that eating meat is ok because of how are teeth are formed, we need protein, and animals eat animals. First, are teeth work just as well on fruits and veggies as animals with bigger teeth than ours, plants provide everything we need, and animals that eat other animals don't know any better like we do so stop with the "jump off the cliff" excuse. I grow my own and I have an indoor garden so I'm set. Also, I don't wear ANY animals products nor do I purchase animals products included those tested on animals. There are plenty of companies that provide alternatives to animal products and most products aren't even important worth having.

I'm completely for animal rights and all that. But I also accept that I, as well as most people, will not give up meat. But I will also not support any company that allows for the abuse of any animals. So the meat I eat has either been humanely hunted, raised humanely by family, or i buy meat that has been hunanely raised. I also eat MOSTLY veggies. That works out pretty well for me and I think could work for others if we all start supporting our local farms, farmers markets, and co-ops.

Let me level with you... I own goats, mostly for dairy and fiber. I love my animals. I raise them with care and caring. I don't have a huge herd, enough to sustain my family and trade. Some years I don't need to grow my herd and male kids are almost always not required. I love my animals, give them the best I can afford and I kill and butcher them myself. If I didn't have the courage to look these creatures in the eye and do this myself-I would quit meat.

This has made me respect these guys a hell of alot more than i already did. It's honestly great to see these guys advocating animal compassion and vegetarianism, especially when they would be considered by many as 'tough', and 'toughness' is often assosiated with eating meat and 'being a real man' or whatever. To the people hating on vegetarians and vegans, you may not agree with it, but it's a lifestyle choice, it's not affecting you in any way so i dont see why the hate is nessesary!

I think a lot of people don't realize that if they get rid of the "industry" part of our food we'd all be better off. Buy local fruits, veggies, and even meat and dairy products. The animals are treated with respect and it's better for the environment, you, and the animals involved. Hunting is also a great alternative. The less processing involved with your food the better.

It's political, health, compassion, environmentalism, etc. Lots of naysayers here posted, but naysayers are like scared little children, basically. Animals have natural instincts to survive, by any means, even if this means eating another animal. This totally dicks on the arguement that its been forced onto us that we have to eat meat, how can animals force onto themselves that they have to eat meat?
Plus, vegetables come from plants, as do fruits. Do plants not have feelings, do they not have rights too?

I was completely shocked to see this video (I found it through a link from the Davey Havok video, btw)! I have never heard Lamb Of God's music but I know I wouldn't like it (haha). Well I am a proud carnivor, I know that meat is the flesh of other animals. I know the processing it goes through, and I know it's not a pretty sight to walk into a processing plant and watch the meat go through. But that's the natural order. Im from Wisconsin The 7th layer of hell and a place that is famous for dairy and meat packing. I've been on farms, I have relatives who own farms, and I've been to some really shitty farms. but I've never seen Farmers or farm hands that go around with whips and torture devices and openly beat and mame their livestock. My great grandpa owned his own farm and he raised beef. I never heard anything about him or his farm hands beating the live stock.

Large companies have to cut corners to compete and are almost always found to have practiced (or have employees that practice) unethical methods, whether its fast food or high street clothing. However if you truly respect animals, you wont think killing them for self gain is ethical either.
