Question: Where did you find this particular rendition of the song? I like the version in the compilation better than the one usually used from the Jet Li movies. It has a very classic retro feel to it while still maintaining a very invigorating beat.
Was wondering where you found this rather old rendition of the song. I'm rather tired of listening to the one from Once Upon a Time in China and this one sounds much better. Has a very classic feel while still retaining a type of Heroic spirit.
Excellent vid. Very impressed but why does it have to be called lam family hung ga to for identity?? There's only one family of hung and that's hung ga. Wong fei hungs family didn't call it wong ga hung ga. Just my opinion.
Well, there's lam gar, fut gar, lao gar, and jow gar as well. There are a whole bunch of them, and it helps to have the family name to declare which style it is.
jow gar lao gar and fut gar are not hung gar. They are their own arts. Jow gar is a combination of hung gar and choy gar. Lao gar is a different system. Fut gar is also completely different.
An incomplete list of Hung branches are: Lau ga, Lam ga, Ng ga, Chiu ga, Tang Fong, Chan, Mok, etc. The reasons different branches are called different branches is because they often stress different hung gar forms, and different learning methods.
Awesome footage! I have neer seen anyone move like GM Lam Chun Fai. I know there are other great HG players. But his movements and flavor is amazing! Totally awesome!
so awsome to see and that it has not changed the sets are exactly the way I learned them and practice them thank you so much

This inspires us always. Same system we still follow today, which is in The Hung Gar family.

It's from the intro from the movie Skyhawk (with Kwan Tak Hing). I took some fragments and combined them.
