Greenscreen under water and blast the air into it from above aand before playing in reverse alow it to go back as bit i.e. up then blend the arse end of the first shot into the reverse version. That's how they did it in the movie. No CGI.
ehh i dont watch stargate but that kinda looked like a clip or somethin, i mean i not saying i could do better, or even really compete with some of the other vids on here that are using 3d max, bc i really dont know how to use it, i tried it, i failed, epically

maybe take the floor out of the bottom of your liquid simulation? it looks like the splash hits an invisible plane
