  • bush can't be the devil, because the devel is smart.

  • No, I youtube, you decide.

  • at 1:40 is see bob marley lol

  • Why shouldnt you take him seriously? Ive read comments about people saying hes a dictator, yet when there was a coup d'etat it wasnt the army that brought him back to power, but it was the people. He just stands up for the latin american people that are being openly exploited by the US. So please, if you arent informed, or just watch fabricated news like fox dont comment, it makes you look like an idiot...

  • @appel123 it is a fact that if any leader on the planet stand up to corporatism that person is first marginalized, if that doesn't work he is ridiculed, and then finally painted as mentally unstable and dangerous .

  • Chavez is awesome! He's a peoples man & I think he has a great sense of humour.

  • He was democratically elected, so i' m going to assume that the majority of Venezuelans like him and voted for him. I say leave him and his country alone. His metaphors can be offensive to some, but o well, nothing we say or do is going to stop him from saying them.

  • atheist should always take "the devil" for a joke. its an obvious one, cause the devil ain't real...

  • yeh is this kind of técnic that the USA numb press brainwatch the Hamburgers puppets ...subtil messages to make the propaganda..like the nazis ...

    well done...

  • The US took him seriously enough to try to start a coup and have him overthrown. Maybe that's why he jokes about Bush being the devil. Or it could be because Chavez has watched how International business, led by the US, have raped south American countries of their resources. To call someone crazy is dismissive and often takes no account of how someone shaped those views. The same way many americans believe terrorist hate us for our freedom and never listen to the real motives.

  • And btw, Chavez is a "lefty" idiots, the most extreme kind.

  • something you are crearly a complete ignorant about. Just cause you saw ONE documentary make from a chavez's friend doesnt mean you're right, what about the millions other that are against him?. This is the same thing as people teaching creacionism in schools, a very good sounding story that is just impossible and could never be applied or proved as fact. Again, don't talk if you don't know

  • @ImDavidBizar prove why you know and the rest of the world doesn't know. Don't just put words together. The coup against the president couldn't last because the will of the people.

  • @zagabel the prove is everywhere, people are just use to be ignorants and neglected and to let any idiot tell them what to think, especially when it's a conspiracy like speech, capitalism is wrong and human kind has been too for the last 1300 years by using it and this awful-spoker guy with no education and clearly no inteligent what so ever got it right just by reading one book. If a goverment wich economic is controlled by the goverment and little by little has been taking all of that's left

  • from private property (I mean PRIVATE PROPERTY, you can't run a bussiness in this country anymore, no international companies with a little bit of brains just a little bit will ever invest in a country with this goverment, ever. And that is terrible thing for us, for our economics, for our life quality). All im saying is that If someone can't see why Chavez's goverment is wrong is crearly miss-informed about a lot of subject and shouldn't even be telling shit, especially if they dont live here.

  • All I can say is: If you support chaves'z proposition at least be honest and sustain that beleive with a solid clear minded base, without the boundaries of well-sounded ideoligies and well-sounded conspiracies. Compare his ideas, compare his laws, compare (especially) his economic plan with those "evil" ones, learn if what he's trying to do has been done before, and has it work? and if it doesnt why? and them you can support his ideas, and them make your own decition. Take Russia's example.

  • Im a Venezuelan and you have NO IDEA how we live here, and how this goverment is being ruled and trying to get transfor into a totalirism. Please understand first how economics works, how is not possible for a socialist goverment to work betwen the rules of human rights and basics natural human behaviour and them read the ideas behind this so called revolutionary and you would see it by yourself. Wich by the way has been use before many times in the past and failed. Dont make an opinion about

  • A president shouldn't ever say something like that, even as a joke, and in the terms he's saying it it's clearly in an insulting and demigrant way (wich by the way is the only way "socialists" aparentlly have to defend themself). And to all the people who just write something "nice" about the idea behind his action and actually are ignorants about the whole economics, political, human rights, freedom of speech and all sorf of thing shit methods, please read something before you write anything.

  • I don't know much about Chavez. But this video is certainly not helping.I'm not prepared to discount someone with some jocularity on the side. When he said Bush was the devil I believe he was simply sensationalizing the speech in order to drive home his message that Bush has committed atrocities. You got to know why he spoke like this.

I don't know much about Chavez or Venezuela but I have read a lot about US and the presidents. The atrocities they have committed is a bloody long list.

  • @iankyoko Can you imagine if Chavez comes to the UN and starts spewing rhetoric in the same manner that western leaders do. No news network would cover it. At least this way it gets some air time. Liberalviewer is an idiot. Just because Jon Stewart is making fun of him and he's a secular leftist doesn't discount Chavez and what he's done for his country. So in answer to you Liberalviewer dummy: "The people of Venezuela took him seriously. That's more than enough."

  • Looks like this video is overrun with half-wits who are proud to be a part of a group that makes "jokes" that are indistinguishable from genuine idiocy.

    ...nice..

Thumbs up on this vid, and no one should take anyone who thinks a "red man with horns is comin' ta gitcha" seriously.

  • @dreadedhalo nice comment, you should also watch the documentary:

The war on democraty by John Pilger here's the link with spanish sub: watch?v=Rarr2Gg1h0I or type the name on Youtube or Google

  • Aug 24/ 2011....Take him seriuosly now he just pulled out 188 tons of gold from the US reserves last week. This economy is truely screwed

  • Chavez is a moron...just like bush,...just like obama...just like calderon...

  • As a Venezuelan it's pretty easy to tell it was a joke, I guess it got lost in translation.

  • @rosiekunable It didnt got lost in translation what we see here is called ``western media propagenda`` Anyone can see that he was joking but US media want to demonize him like they do with Iran's president so they will use anything they can to depict him as some kind of lunatic monster .... Damn I wish this guy was the leader of my country :-(

  • Americans are told to fear and hate any world leader that refuses to sell his nation out to "play ball" with the globalist agenda. This is why American taxpayers pay billions to puppet dictators around the globe, and billions more to bomb nationalist leaders who care more about their people than taking the global banksters' bribes.

Either that or we have the CIA on the ground trying to assassinate Chavez, Ahmadinejad, etc. the international power elite simply won't accept nationalist leaders.

  • he is a president of a not-so-small country and inciting hatred, these people should always be watched carefully

  • I wish if Hugo Chavez was the president of my country. America hates him because since he took over with smart leadership he paid his county's debt thus he no longer has to bow his head to that Mafia that is called IMF.

  • @Viscaelbarca06 So true, I wish he was the president of my country too :-(

  • wow. Hugo Chavez is one of the leading figures in a movement that is giving Latin America independence for the first time in over 500 years and the american ''left''' wants to know if we should take him seriously. the liberals are more dangerous than conservatives in america. they criticize the extremism of the right and pose themselves as the "other option" in american politics cutting off any ability for left-wing politics to emerge. they do a great service to american power.

  • Okay, it's called a joke. Clearly he was making a joke. Isn't that what Jon Stewart does much of the time, make jokes? Should we take Jon Stewart seriously? I tell you, I take Hugo Chavez more seriously than I do Jon Stewart.

  • @JohnJancar The only difference is that Jon IS A COMEDIAN and Hugo is EL PRESIDENTE, EL COMANDANTE, EL LIDER DEL SOCIALISMO BOLIVARIANO, etc. etc. Also John is kind of cute while El Comandante is offensive to the human eye sight. Meanwhile the propaganda about how this ugly clown is helping the poor and screwing up the rich in Venezuela is basically just that... propaganda.

  • Go to AWAREOFTRUTH. COM---For an alternative view.

His people should take him serious, to the USA he is not much of a threat. I think attacking Chavez is just racism because he does not pose any threat, so its just baseless hate.

  • @WESTAZTEC I went to that website hoping for some insight, but instead I got this God and Illuminati nonsense.

  • It was obviously a joke. Humour doesn't translate well.

  • chavez is a moron lol

  • So you all sucked Sandinista cocks two decades ago. Now you bend over and take it up the backside for Hugo Chavez. Communist stooges then, Communist stooges now.

  • @NickB1967 shutup nigger

  • @bigbossman999: Thanks for revealing your true colors.

  • bush allegedly sponsored a coup against chavez in 2002. military junta attempted to take over. condoleeza rice make a statement welcoming the incoming transition. the people of venezuela fought againt the military and democracy prevailed...the same democracy which bush/blair claimed to want to spread in iraq.

  • Chavez is actually a good guy. He uses Venezuela's massive riches to help the people.

And the US doesn't like that, it's supposed to go to US big business. Which is what America consistently does. Ask any Latin American, or just look at the CIA's history. (CIA = Military arm of US big business)

  • chavez is such a bitch

  • His constituents do. What America thinks might have more to do with how he treats US oil interests than anything else, and the fact they want to trade their oil in Euro's and such and not Dollars. Look up the effects of the demise of the dollar as reserve currency. A serious problem, but not for Chavez.

  • No one should take this animal seriously.

  • I'm half venezuelan, and I was actually just there last Christmas, and very few people take Chavez seriously.

Chavez takes over places to help the poor (like a shopping mall that was in construction, he just takes it over and pays the developers a fraction of its worth to give it to the poor), and he takes over companies and gives all the employees a flat (low) paymen based on how many years they've gone to college. Seriously?

But over a joke? My whole family (antichavez) thought it was funny!

  • I put a like on this video,,,,

    NOW THEY ARE EQUAL!

    678 likes, 678 dislikes....

    i feel so special now....so wow...MLIA

  • @dchris1990 i made it 680 to 680

  • Hugo should be much more diplomatic, however he does look after his people. Bush on the other hand is a little more diplomatic, but does not look after the American people. Well he does look after a select few, the wealthy elite.

  • I agree with HerrKnitler. In generaI I enjoy LiberalViewers videos (and Jon Stewart's show), but in this case both seem to have missed the mark. Both Stewart and LiberalViewer's views on this one seem to suffer from a certain UScentric (to coin a term) bias. Outside of the US, especially in South America, Africa and continental Europe, Chavez is widely respected (and Bush indeed IS viewed as evil incarnate). Many view Chavez as a uniquely brave champion of oppressed peoples everywhere.

  • @SensiStarToaster Bush is actually quite popular in Sub-Sahara Africa, and even in Iran, i found out to my surprise. not all non-Americans are 'french' and recalcitrant in their idea's about the US.

  • @Sanderniet interesting. Ive lived in sub-saharan Africa all my life and thats generally not been my experience. Then again, to tell the truth, most sub-saharan africans would actually have no idea who Bush is in the first place, that is, most are illiterate and poor :(

  • Interesting fact; the US is unpopular in Kuwait and South Korea, both countries that would not exist if not for the US. South Korea would be part of the prison that is now the PRK; Kuwaiti’s say they don't like the US because of Israel, but in '91 they kicked all the Palestinians out of Kuwait because of Arafat's support for Iraq! Usually anti-Americanism is hypocritical and shallow. I am not so much pro-US, just bored with this.

By the way, simply google 'US popularity ratings in Africa'.

  • Yes. I heard the Truth. Have you read Noam's book he refered to?

  • Yes.

  • yes yes n yes

  • Viva Chavez

  • this is the problem with America. you pay so much attention to this meaningless crap, The new york times had an article which had the same kind of content regard the devil comments etc. but there was also this sentence in the article that chavez received "loud applause that lasted so long that the organisation's officials had to tell the cheering group to cut it out" what did he say that was so popular? who cares you would rather laugh at the most democratically elected leader in the free world

  • Lol thats so sad. he takes the usa way too seriously, i mean how many americans really care about him. I dont think many. Im mean nobody cares if he calls bush a devil

  • i take hugo chavez more seriopusly than that alcoholic insane clown george bush anyway. Any country where a fucking moron like bush can become president, should be wiped off the face of the earth.

  • No you obviously shouldn't take a joke from Hugo Chavez seriously. I don't understand how a joke can reduce you to something to not take seriously though.

From what I see and understand about Venezuela, a lot of rich people are butthurt about not getting the rights to own all the resources. And the whining is especially loud from the US who only want another economic vassal state to draw resources from.

Can "liberal"viewer be taken seriously though?

  • @HerrKnitler My thoughts exactly. Obviously these people know nothing about Chavez. It kinda throws me off that Jon Stewart would go after him like that.

  • @HerrKnitler Nice

  • he must be removed by his people asap. the man is a wacko. i just wonder what color is the sky in his world...........the fact that i write this i am sure will stop me from getting a visa to that county which just proves my point........Chavez is out of step with reality.

  • Chaves was right, Bush is mr. danger

  • @pitotipp dude. Chaves is fucking insane. hell he thinks you can land on the moon

  • @Dogmeat1950

    What are you talking about?

  • @pitotipp I don't know what are you talking about? :)

  • @pitotipp I'd daresay I'd rather live with George Bush as my president instead of Hugo Chavez. That's coming from someone who voted for Obama. Chavez is a despot.

  • @spsawyer22 how so?

  • @RoyalKnightVII Because tens of thousands of people who have disagreed with his policies have gone missing or been outright jailed/killed. Not to mention he's basically made himself President for Life. Even people of Venezuelan descent I've met think he's bats*** crazy and are afraid to go back to their country.

  • The more pertinent question is why does ANYONE consider Jon Stewart to be funny???

  • Fucking AMERICANS now they on to take over venezuelas OIL, thats really fuck up

now one thing abount americans is that if they one to ridicuolize somenone they all ways use humor on tv,so it could be more belivebeble, that is...

  • @CASGARRAFA US is not trying to take over the oil! You need to research this topic before you jump to conclusions. We buy the oil from them and Chavez puts the money in his pocket!

  • @katrinaprice10 not to mention he wiped a hole tribe off the face of the planet, because he says the CIA and the British CIA whose name escapes me, were training them to kill him, first, the CIA and Britons CIA never work together, they spy on each other, these were innocent tribe people, who never even knew about the country they were living in, wiped off the planet

  • @katrinaprice10 bitch so you can shut your fucking dirty mouth checkout the interview LARRY KING INTERVIEWS HUGO CHAVEZ checkk it out on youtube, you fucking pruod american.... contradictions its what they are, just seeing your last president BUSH, SHAME ON YOU AMERICANS 8 YEARS FUCKING THY AMERICANS IN THE ASS, UHHHH THATS GOTTA HURT PAIN IN THY ASS BITCH: if they foolded you once ist not your fault, but if they foolded you twice is your fault.... REMEMBER THAT AMERICAN.

  • The murder rate in the capital of Venezuela is the highest in the world. Venezuela is one of the largest oil producers in the world but they can't seem to get the electricity to work on a daily basis. Chavez refuses to condemn Gaddaffi of Libya when he kills his own people because that's what Chavez does also. Venezuela is falling apart, note the Cystral tower and the collapse of bridges and there is no plan to fix anything. Poverty is rampant and unemployment is high.

  • Chavez is a man......Enough said.....As a Muslim i have much respect for that man for kicking the Israeli embassy out....

  • what a fucking douche bag, that daily show fella. there are no americans that know anything about hugo chavez cos all they listen to is biased lies from their scum sucking government leeches that still call themselves journalists

  • This is clearly a culture shock. Im Mexican and for me its relatively easy to see that he is making a joke, hes a humble village man that was in the military, but you cant even feel that background coming from venezuela. I urge you all to watch the documentary SOUTH OF THE BORDER by Oliver Stone to get a glimpse of the reality in south america, instead of the media confusion and malice that goes around in other networks. VIVA CHAVEZ!! & VIVA THE SOUTH AMERICAN BROTHERHOOD!!

  • @dreadedhalo hes also a socialist and jails dissenters....soo.....

  • @MyDormantSoul That doesn't say anything concise.

  • @dreadedhalo lets see. His government literally controls the venezualen judiciary, something that is normally independent of the state, his party literally has every say in the rulings of the court. One judge ruled against his party; Maria Afiuni, and was then prosecuted and is now facing 30 years in prison. Chavez recently passed 3 laws that restrict internet traffic, put further restrictions on radio/TV and allow the government to terminate broadcasting licenses on arbitrary grounds, concise?

  • @MyDormantSoul Yeah she did not rule against his party. It was about freeing a well known banking crook and also I do agree that Chavez didnt have the delicacy of handling it with more detail maybe. Shes currently on house arrest and I think theres gonna be a public trial in the future. And about the non local media, Im with that, its all(news) garbage, it serves no good at all. gotta take a look into the details though.

  • @MyDormantSoul I dont blame Chavez for being so overprotective though. There is surely some Jackals(American undercover overthrowers) going after him. He provably knows that hes going against freedom of speech also, for those who criticize his government and end up prosecuted. But theres no other way, he knows all the dirty strategies that are going to be applied against him and hes gonna take the dive.

  • @dreadedhalo u can say that for any dictator and thats fine, dictatorship is political system just like democracy and monarchy, but I also have to question chavez's human rights violations as well as his economic record. He's caused housing shortages by revoking property rights; Cuba is now returning property rights because Castro admits that property rights are essential for long term economic health, as did China to a more extreme extent. Complete central planning has never worked in the past

  • @MyDormantSoul yeah your right on that one.

  • @dreadedhalo tas loco frijolero CHAVEZ ES UNA BASURA NO OPINES SI NO VIVES AQUI

  • @dreadedhalo You are 100% right. Anyone with a basic understanding of the culture and background Chavez comes from would understand that what he said was a joke. He didn't really mean that Bush was the devil incarnate and that he smelled like sulfur. In fact, he was actually making light of the many blunders, both domestic and foreign, that Bush had made during his presidency. I mean, as far as leaders go, I don't believe that Bush was very bright. Anyway, good call.

  • @dreadedhalo Keep the information coming. People only seem to see what is interpreted for them. They see things the way that they are suggested.

  • @dreadedhalo you had me going until "viva chavez", you pretty much in the same boat as Hugo Chavez and Liberal Viewer. Go Lakers!!!

  • All liberal should join hands and take down Jon Stewart for abusing a camel in Madison. If we do not act as a people, animal abuse will rise to meteoric levels because they will think hurting animals for the sake of comedy is "O.K." DOWN WITH COMEDY CENTRAL! ANIMAL'S RIGHTS!!!!!!!!! DOWN WITH JON STEWART!

  • Long live Chavez.!! No pasaran from Edinburgh!!

  • We all have the devil within us, when you know thyself ! you know this truth, you realise we are all capable of the greatest acts of love, or the most destructive forces. I dont subscribe to there even being such a thing as evil. only the opposite of love, which I just call bad.

But I know that there are many in this world who would agree with Chavez's sentiments !!!

  • jajajajajaajja chavez no tiene remedio.....EN ESTE MISMO LUGAR HUELE A AZUFRE jajajajajajaajjajajajajajajjajajaa

  • VIVA CHAVEZ...

  • The answer is should anyone take John Stewart seriously? He has never had the amount of responsibility nor the threat of loosing his life for what he believes in. Respect and culture is becoming a rare characteristic trait especially in America and it is sad. I am an American and I am proud of my family and my positive accomplishments but I like most question the direction my government and all these private corporations pulling the strings are taking us.

  • I've got a serious question for you do you have more than 5 videos that are not just taking a daily show or colbert report clip and cutting it up and adding a dumb ass comment to it? I get it you have cable good for you so do I and Ive watched what they do and thought it was funny when they did it you need to stop fucking it up

  • This question seems to be a two headed Dragon

  • go and live in Venezuela, maybe there you can ask yourself if he is serious enough!

  • i take anyone with nuclear capability seriously.

  • Yes, becuase he is destroying a people and their country. That does not mean you have to take his views seriously as he has demonstrated he couldn't care less about rationality.

  • I like Jon Stewart but his knowledge of South AMerican affairs is non-existent. He thought that Argentina was a democracy when, as a US backed military dictatorship, it fought the UK for the Falklands. That's basic.

So for a politically secure liberal New Yoiker to affect a stance 'above the fray' on a man whose life has been mortally threatened (2002) and some of whose friends and allies have actually been murdered by Bush, it seems a cheap and tabloidy.

In LatAm they murder liberals like Jon.

  • @NormanArches The Falkland island war was nearly 30 years ago. Argentina is now a Democracy. I'm pretty sure Jon Stewart didn't make that statement in 1982, when the Falklands were invaded. You still bitter about that stupid little war mate?

  • @cbrandom

No. He was interviewing Tony Blair and said to him "You say it's impossible for democracies to go to war but you fought Argentina over the Falklands and you were both democracies, so how does that work?"

And Blair said "Erm......they were a military dictatorship" and Stewart blushed.

So that's why I wrote that.

And the UK won the war so although I am indeed an extremely bitter man it's nothing to do with that.

By the same token just don't ask a gaucho cos they go mad!! :D

  • you and your question you ignorant son of a bitch

    go fuck yourself

  • should anyone take your fucking question seriously you idiot dumb ass?

  • Chavez wants the national resources of his nation to benefit .... the people of his nation. OMG! HE MUST BE EVIL! ....heh.

  • Leibowitz is a tool

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @ovz112 no he is just like a fat kid at fat camp not wanting to exercise so he threatens and yells and squirms just for a piece of cake. Fuck Hugo Chavez.

  • yes

  • @TheAnakmas take him seriuosly or.. he'll take away Venezuelans Internet! fuck that! you're lucky you have youtube. FUCK HUGO CHAVEZ that fat ass.

  • absolutely he should be taken seriously, sarcasm and wit is a powerful tool, stewart doesent hold a monopoly on those attributes...

  • Chavez deserves more respect than any US president.

comparing Venzuela in the 80s and today and thats enough proof how much Hugo Chavez cares for his country unlike bushbama or who ever future puppet who will serve corporate america and crush the poor

  • Chavez was just granted dictatorial powers by his "lame duck" government. How he will used these powers is not my point. The simple fact is for the next 18 months, the constitution of Venezuela can be suspended by his sole authority. Never underestimate a man who is above the law.

  • @Cam37

yes because US presidents never went above the law and screwed the constitution right?

  • Notice that John Stewart can keep his million dollar contract ONLY by being properly slavish about whom he ridicules. The truth is that Chavez has done infinitely more for the poor and middle class than Obama has done for the poor & middle class in the US. But Stewart never dares ridicule O'Bomber no matter how many U.S. troops or Afghanistan kids O'Bomber kills with his beloved drones. Also for years the Chavez government has provided subsidized heating oil for American poor folks in the NE.

  • Calling the president the devil is not as insane as invading the middle east for oil. Let's get our priorities straight before we open our mouths shall we?

  • this guy is a total idiot and THIS is american tv manipulation DURING CHAVEZ SPEECH PEOPLE LAUGHED AND APPLAUDED HIM .THIS IS HOW AMERICAS SYSTEM CONTROL CITIZENS BY TELLING LIES AND USING STUPIDITY WHEN SOMETHING IS AGAINST THEIR SYSTEM ! WHAT A MORON .......

  • chimp-face twat...

  • Chavez needs to be shot.

  • @sclock2 be careful cleaning your gun

  • can u help it if chavez was telling the truch hahaha i dont thank bush is the divel but he is sure damm close to it

  • It's batshit crazy for someone to call the slaughterer of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis the devil?

I doubt Stewart would say its batshit crazy to call the formerly U.S. backed Saddam Hossein the devil, whose atrocities pale in comparison.

Please remove "liberal" from your name. People like you and Stewart, not Chavez, make us look bad.

  • @paganiniGOGO american with vision... thank god.

  • @paganiniGOGO Really? Jon Stewart is what makes the country look bad? A comedian? You dunce.

  • @paganiniGOGO THe Big Corporation that pays John Stewart, allows him to be the court jester. HIs hands are tied to say anything so closely censored as chavez or ahmenijad for that matter, thats if he wanted to. Maybe he's as brainwashed as everyone else...

  • @paganiniGOGO

"It's batshit crazy for someone to call the slaughterer of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis the devil?"

I wasn't aware that the U.S. is now responsible for the murder of civilians by others now.

What next if a car crash happens in China the U.S. is blamed for any deaths.

  • Can anyone take LiberalViewer and ,indeed, American Liberals like Stewart seriously? Chavez is simply correct. Bush/Cheney/PNAC ARE demons incarnate.

If you can't see that- then we only assume you are still looking for WMD's.

  • chavez just want power and money. the end.

  • SHOULD ANYONE TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY?

WHAT YOU KNOW MORE THAN BE A CLOWN, AND WHAT POOR JOKES.

  • Someone needs to say: "We will not bow down to any Imperialism. We have a mind of our own". I dont agree with Chavez in many points, but was not for nothing that, since Che and Castro, latin america are fighting against north american interests. And for sure, what USA want with latin america is not their development.

As a Brazilian I know how much this "developed countries" are anger to get hand in Amazon.

  • yes

  • Yes HUGO CHAVEZ SAY WHAT WE ALL THINK

  • And Should Anyone Seriously Take You Serious? Your pathetic shell of a government should take an example of the way Hugo is dealing with e.g. corporatism and the greedy elite!

  • Long live Hugo Chávez !!!

  • Venezuela is unfortunately not yet Socialist, much less communist, there's a big difference. pity since poverty in Venezuela has gone down 28% since Chavez is in power. He speaks for the poor, and not the wealthy vampires who would have Venezuela's oil resources privatized to serve the oligarchy. U idiot.

  • @manuelturcios - That man is a communist! Attempting to change the constitution like other communist dictators but failed miserably. Daniel Ortega did that too, that is, help the poor but he did that with bad intentions. Chavez like Ortega have are communists and if they had their way everything would be government controled. My parents fled their country (Nicaragua) because once he helped out the poor and told them to fight and won, you saw their real face. Mandatory military service..etc

  • @ytany84 Communist dictators? I must have missed it; I thought Ortega and Chavez were elected. More than once.

  • @manuelturcios - You swallow that pill, not me. My dad made it clear socialist/communist agendas are anti-liberty.

  • @ytany84 They CAN be, but don't have to be.

  • @DexterAndCromwell - Which one isn't anti-liberty! All communist regimes want absolute population control and more.

  • @ytany84 'Communist' regimes as you probably know them (USSR, China etc) are just masquerading under psuedo-socialist pretences, using 'communism' as a term for their style of governance when it's anything but.

Socialism can be carried out properly. For example, the Labour party in Britain ran a socialist government during their time in power, post-World War II. They brought in universal healthcare reform and a whole host of civil rights changes.

  • @ytany84 ohh cuz the patriot act unsures your individual rights so much... haha give me a break. Bush is a murderer with blood in his hands. and you want to demonize chavez? come one, be a little les naive and do some research, not what your country is feeding you disinformation... that's the real weapon of mass destruction. try to fit it in your head that maybe your daddy is not right about ABSOLUTELY everything.

  • @manuelturcios - The Patriot Act hasn't obligated it's citizens military service or oversee every damn private corporation, religion in it's respective country, has it?

Who's talking about Bush anyway? I don't know where your getting your "facts"on matters of Ortega and his regime but your truly misinformed and worse, you refuse to listen.

  • @ytany84 I don't see daniel ortega or chavez killing thousands of people to benefit. like bush is, neither do they have over 650 military bases installed around the world, read a book for once you ignorant asshole. and I am from Honduras, there is no persecution for your religious or political beliefs, nor obligatory military service in nicaragua or venezuela, you r just saying what you've been indoctrinated to say by US's mainstream media.

  • @ytany84 What i do know is that my grandma,RIP, went to venezuela for FREE medical treatment paid for by Venezuela, compliments of the ALBA, and she is from honduras.... that's more than I can say for the US's fucked up healthcare system. not in a million years would an american citizen het free medical care IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. i rest my case.

  • @manuelturcios

"not in a million years would an american citizen het free medical care IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY"

Funny I had government paid medical care when I was growing up do to low family income.

I guess you're still full of shit.

  • @InterntzTrollerinz Yeah? how about now? do you have FREE healthcare? I guess It's alright when YOU have had healthcare. fuck everyone else that doesn't. Talk to me when you're freed from mental slavery, had a college education and something else besides Fox News or CNN or any other American mainstream press is your primary source of knowledge. maybe when you turn 16 you can change your name to INTERNETROLL and quit decorating your name with childish gimmicks to be more honest about your intent.

  • @manuelturcios no such thing as free healthcare. it comes out of your tax. duh.

and also, as well as not getting distruted equally, you have little say in it; apart from a vote every 4 years.

also, if people wish to have healthcare, why must they force others to pay for thiers..

... you have to be unbeleivably stupid not to see that the corporations are the ones pushing this obamacare bill. atleast support a voucher system, not this shit

  • @CytherLynx Of course, in no way have I given a hint of support for healthcare passed in the US, republicans fucked it up, no single payer and no public option, it's utterly disgusting and does not benefit the people, but what else can you expect from a country run by corporate politicians. I'm talking about the healthcare you get in France, the UK, with no tax difference, even Cuba For christ's sake. for a country that boasts itself for being best, the US sure treats poor people like crap.

  • @manuelturcios well, yeah, if you are going to do healthcare, at least do it right.

have you ever checked out Milton Friedman's views on healthcare? or google 'voucher system', and see wikipedia's page on it. it is about education but can work for healthcare just as well.

Anyway, the US right now can't afford anything. it has700% gdp/debt ratio including unfunded liabilities. this means somehow or other, every tax payer has to pay back at least 1mil each due to government.

    usdebtclock(dot)org

  • @CytherLynx yeah I know, that's why I think it's bullshit we got this deficit commission saying stupid things like people should work till they're 70. All the while the richest 2% get tax cuts, and almost no defense budget cuts are being discussed for that phony war. I mean, does the walmart owner really need a tax cut? these tax cuts ARE NOT creating any jobs, republicans can argue that any way they want but that just isn't the case. why is it always the poor people who have sacrifice stuff.

  • @manuelturcios My Dad, including other family members have first eye accounts of what went on in the beginnings of the Ortega/Communist regimes. You have nothing that's why you have no argument. My family WITNESSED everything that went on and lived to tell their kids about it. Down with Communism!

  • @ytany84 So he must have told you about the right wing death squads(trained in Georgia), the murder of countless native people, the CIA operatives driving around in big cars before Ortega. I have no doubt that things in Nicaragua were really good for the monied elite before Ortega; but then things were good for the monied elite everywhere in Latin America, kept safe and in the money by the Americans.

  • @manuelturcios

Poverty has gone down? by who's measure? Chavez's ??

I know this, Caracas, is now the murder and crime capital of the world. A once nice city has been turned to a complete shithole. The middle class is fleeing Venezuela as fast as they can, the future for Venezuela is complete bondage for everyone if Chavez stays in power.

  • @jjrglobal poverty HAS decreased 28% according to international statistic organizations. look it up they even had analysts on CNN to confirm this. You'd know that if you stoped watching FOX news for 2 seconds, not that I vouch for any other mainstream media outlet. united states had made sure to disrupt latinamerican democracies to fit its own needs and paint negative image of their presidents, they're not even hiding it anymore, it happened in honduras in 2008, look up what economic hitmen are.

  • I mean I don't like the fact that Chavez has been there for 10 flipping yrs a& I do believe that its time4 some1 new 2 take office the ppl of venezuela freely elect him. They dont want their hard work 2 fall in the hands of the right & they have done a lot 2 improve the country & this would all go 2 waste if they let a right wing take over the country. So Chavez needs 2 find a successor who will follow his political agenda ASAP. READ Venezuela Speaks! Voices from the Grassroots

  • To answer your question No I mean I wouldn't BUT but I have to say Hugo Chavez has done many good things for Venezuela. I am a Latino highly educated Latino and if you read the book "Venezuela Speaks" (written by a couple of SFSU students who lived in Venezuela for about 5 years) Venezuela has been doing better. Hugo Chavez has been able to get rid of Capitalism and Neoliberalism (US Imperialism)

  • yes, hugo chavez has the right to free speech, and is not the only one that thinks Bush is the devil (in a metaphorical way) When Hugo Chavez calls bush the devil, hes reffering to Bush starting a horrible war just to get oil- having many people killed, tortured, scapegoated, etc because he was stupid enough to believe it would make america richer. by the way, the Iraq war caused the majority of our debt (in the multi trillions) NOT healthcare (in the millions)
