Well a jcpenny at the mall in the state i live in closed down in april and i remeber on the news that some jcpenny's in IL where closeing due to problmes well there is a orther one by my house i live in Algonquin,IL so tha one is stall open but at spring hill mall in west dundee IL the jcpeeny there closed down in april.

My fav small mall was bulldozed in my city ( coz a bigger more popular mall was nearby).The only part that stayed was JC Penny as its the most money making JC Penny in my state.They built a swanky outdoor mall with restaurants around it.

I used to work in that mall, before the economy fell and I got let go, but I know some people who are in charge who are trying to bring it back, close to talking walmart into taking over that section that has been closed the longest (I forget what was that way, that section was closed when I was young). The problem was that in 2007 when Macys left all the other good stores (barnes and noble, gamestop, ect...) freaked and left. I remember some big chain store wanted in but Sears wouldnt let them.
