I found / and enjoyed / this video while looking for a place for my friend to run his live steam engine. It sits on a 1 3/4 width track... He's a long retired "hogger" .. has moved into a senior residence in Bracebridge. He bought this engine and tender combo in Sacramento a few years ago and would love to run it... ?? help anyone.. brisafey@yahoo.com
I enjoyed the show. It was nice to be an exhibitor this year with my layout (E28) this vidieo brings back good memories of my time there. Well done to all concerned.
@trianmad: It was a great show mate. I liked most of the layouts there especially that large Dutch layout with the massive bridge. Maybe in the future, I could exhibit a small Irish themed layout there.
nice video Ash! We are finally going to have a British Model train show after a very long time on April 28-29 2012 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada they said they only going to do it once every 2 years.
@dmncau: Thanks Dan, it was a very good event albeit it wasn't as busy this year as it was in 2009. I shall be going to the next event which will in London towards the end of March.
@practice264: Sorry about the length mate, I kept all my footage in the one video so that I don't fill up the seach results in parts. It took two days to upload all the clips as its 5.2GB in total and then I have to fix it all together in the video editor. But still it was a great event I will be looking forward to going again next year.
@lvgauge1: Thanks, this years event was quieter than normal as it was more busier in 2009 and there seemed to be more layouts there in 2009 than this one. I will be going again next year. Just make a note in the diary mate and you won't miss out. I definitely recommend going to this event and thanks for watching the video mate.
@houndog1372: Thanks mate, Ah cool. Did you go on the 19th? Or the 20th? That reminds me, I still need to get the Hornby Pretendolino train but we will see what December brings.
@EWS60008 I went on the 19th ( saturday ) and the pretendolino is a great pack the 90 could be better but o well. Am getting the bachmann class 350 desiro on the 7th december (my birthday) :)
@houndog1372: Ah cool. I have plans to get the Bachmann Class 350 set at the beginning of December as it looks a great model. If all goes to plan I shall review it to give fellow modellers some ideas of what to hint for as a potential gift. Once I have reviewed the model, I may giftwrap it and shove it under the tree for Christmas Day. Unless I get the Pretendolino for Xmas, I am spoiled for choice here mate. Happy birthday in advance anyway fella.
Great video, some amazing layouts. However, I found this a bit long for my personal taste. Two 21 minute videos would have been more ideal in my opinion.
@KaPOWitsCHRIS: Thanks mate, sorry to hear that the video was a bit long for you, the reason I stick it all into the one video and make it longer is so that I don't clog up the YouTube search engine with multiple parts of the same video. With this in mind, it makes it fairer for others that post videos from the same event and it makes their videos easier to find :).
@aocruiser: It was a great event mate and I really enjoyed it as well. The layouts were impressive and I would have filmed for a lot longer if my battery had held out. Glad you enjoyed the footage mate.
@pyronathanpyro: To be honest mate, 2010 was one of the worst years in my life. The 2011 event was good, but it didn't seem to be as busy as the 2009 show that I went to was. I will be going again in 2012 and I will make an even longer video as I will have a larger battery by then. I will be attending the exhibition at Alexandra Palace in March 2012 as well for the first time, so I am not sure what to expect from that one.
@EWS60008 ahh sorry to hear about 2010 :( but next year i too will be going also with a few spare camera batries for my caamera my samsung one lasts about 4hrs of video ish or at least shuld do im getting like 2 more thow just in case thx
@pyronathanpyro: The extra JVC that I will be using should give 90mins of constant filming mate. I will get another one in two so that I can film longer and also I won't miss any cruicial layouts that I have missed in the past due to battery failure.
@Beatboxer1346: I enjoy the Warley show as I go to the event every year (exept last year due to illness) and I will be going again in 2012 with more spending money. Overall its a great event and I would recommend it to anyone thats into trains just for the layouts alone.
@BritishRail2002: Thanks, It took 48 hours with the PC constantly running as I left it running a couple of nights for the upload to complete as the total file size for all clips was about 5.2GB. Glad you liked the footage and Littleton Parkway is one of my favourites as well mate.
@BritishRail2002: Certainly was mate, considering that BT is supposed to be the fastest internet provider, the broadband speed is like a dinosaur compared to Virgin Media (formerly NTL) which I used to use.
@Liverpoolfcfever: Thanks mate and sadly I have not been to any exhibitions outside the UK up to yet, but I will look into the model rail expo in Utrecht in the future as I would like to film more Dutch model railways as they are very rich in detail.
@HillsideModelRailway: Thanks Sam, I really liked that Dutch layout as I would love to build a Japanese N gauge layout similar to that one with the bridges and stuff, but model the Osaka Loop Line with Universal Studios on the layout somewhere. I'm glad you like the footage mate and I will be going again in 2012 with lots of spending money.
@mongoosekid14: I think I covered that layout with my backup camera mate. As its not in HD, it will be extra footage that I will upload tomorrow. Did that layout have a DCC sound Class 20 on it? If so, I think I may have met you in person on the 19th.
