  • The DH2 Beaver was just amazing! Yea it was slow, but it has a linger time over a search area grid like few other aircraft had. And it could land and take off in very tight places.

  • I grew up in Alaska... learned fly to in the CAP's Cadet Flight Training program. My instructors were a mix of experienced bush pilots, Airline and veteran military. All of them trained me to think in situation awareness. "Hey, you are fly an aircraft in one of the most challenging environments on the planet!"

  • My great grandfather was Harold Gillam.

  • Where does this video come from? which series?

  • Very Interesting real Pilots

  • Respect

  • do bush pilots always carry a full service tool kit so they can carry out any maintainance required. say you suffered and engine failure in the middle of knowwhere and need to repair it

  • @210482fmj

well you carry the kit, but if the motor packs it in during a flight, you probably can't / aren't qualified to fix it. But lord knows you'd try.

If it throws a connecting rod or cracks a cylinder, well hopefully it's a radial with 13 cylinders and you can still fly.

  • Mr. Hudsen has an amaizing plane

  • respect

  • When the "life line" came along it introduced native alaskans to alcohol and other worldly treats. The alaskans lost some of their soul when this happened..and also, genetically they are not use to alcohol.

  • This is a critical vid.. Keep it here..

  • Noel Wien, Sam White, Roy Duggan, Rudy Billberg....all great pioneering Alaska Bush Pilots.

  • i want to be that old guys apprentice.

  • Thank you very much for sharing me a great video and give me an idea living my life as a commercial pilot. Now I'm a student pilot for comercial pilot(seaplane, multiple engines, certification of IFR) in Japan.

  • Did he really just let that gas pee on the ground @ 7:16? That's old school!

  • The deHavilland Beaver, made in Canada.

  • i hope you achieve your dream. good luck.

  • Alaskan bush pilots r a bunch of faggot pussies!!! The reason there r so many accidents is because of inexperience. Hell crop dusting is more dangerous.

  • @killyoubitch27 They are not pussies ! I do agree with the part where many of the accidents are caused by inexperience , but it is also because some people are careless . I want to be a pilot that has a purpose instead of hauling around a bunch of prudes that have too much money . I want to do something that is of great use to someone . BTW , the danger , in my point of view , only seems more enticing . lol

  • @killyoubitch27 You know shit. Croppies have it easy now days with GPS plotters and hell some places they let them do it IFR! Hat off to any pilot that bites the bullet and gets hands dirty. Someone who your clearly not. Hats off from a PNG pilot to these guys!

  • @killyoubitch27 classic case of LDS. (little dick syndrome)

  • @01sircharles really and how is that?

  • 1:28 is this guy missing a hand?

  • OVER FIVE HUNDRED HEROES

  • Ha ha old mean and ugly I hope I'm as cool as that dude when I'm a geezer.

  • @FantasticBob7000

    "when I'm a geezer."

Looked in the mirror lately Bob?

  • ...assuming that that's your picture in your profile.

  • 84 years old bush pilot! That's better than Rambo flying the copter

  • my dads a bush pilot in Alaska...he loves it!

  • Great Movie ! Thx

  • So this is what American tv is like.

  • @psfanboy999 omg, shut up troll.

  • @RainbowManification lol, learn to take a joke.

  • @psfanboy999 learn to blow me.

  • @RainbowManification I'll try, do you think you could send me a couple manuals? Not everyone is as good at it as you are.

  • @psfanboy999 Im sure there are some good sites on the internet that would help you in that field.

  • @RainbowManification You know, I bet there are. Well thank you for the help, you are truly a credit to your country.

  • shor video, long enough to allow me to see that to be a good 747 or 330 pilot, first you have to graduate from the bush school and create experience and a sense of fear and respect for the job, but a deep love for the machine that does it all with a good and a better prepared to be pilot. With that in mind, thanks for this video.
