I graduated from USC in 1980 and I remember most of these guys. I had to watch that blocked field goal on the last play over and over to figure out what happened. Looked like Norm Johnson was a little off on his timing and kicked the ball low. There was also a noticeable gap between UCLA's right guard and the center. These guys must have been tired, but the day belonged to the Trojans.

Etonnantebeaute, check out the video titled, "USC vs. UCLA football 1981 -- Ist Half Highlights." At the 5 minute mark there is a clip of your dad throwing a perfect bomb to Jeff Simmons to set up a touchdown. It was a pass off a reverse.

Keith Jackson still one of the greatest voices ever for sports.

He was indeed one of the best. Frank Broyles was really a good analyst as well. They made a great team. I happened to be at that game. SC really outplayed them throughout but made some key mistakes to allow UCLA to temporarily take the lead before Marcus scored the winning TD. The blocked FG was justice.
