it's not a bug, it's normal that's fox's shield broke.

just like for pit...and the other ones with reflectors such as zelda, rob etc...

when you use it too much and that the opponent throws many things at you, your shield will break at a moment. That can happen to fox and wolf, cause their shield has an unlimitted time.

Other shields such as rob's or zelda's will normally never break coz it'll only happen when one same object is reflected many times.

not a glitch. Pikmin and Fox's Laser don't induce knockback, so the reflector breaks, but Fox stays in animation. I'm sure if it were a turnip or something else being thrown instead of a Pikmin, the Red Fox (w/ the broken reflector) would be knocked away.

To back up the other comments, when a reflector "breaks" the result is the same as being shield broken, not this. This is a true glitch.
