@shojogirl93 Because they had different beliefs on how the world should be. And JGS had the power to back up what he thought. Where as Gil Dong was still just a commoner. So in the end the king won and Gil Dong didn't really accomplish anything :( Man I cried hard. JGS's character was amazing till then.....it really upset me to see him go against his "friends" because of power.

Definitely one of the funniest, saddest, and romantic movie of all time. I love it very much that I keep on watching it over and over and over and over again, just the funny part, though, I don't think I can bear to watch the end, it's so fucking sad yet very realistic, I guess it has to end that way. It's sad in a good way. Damn! all of the actors and actresses are good, everybocy did a great job. Indeed UNIQUELY ENTERTAINING with all good looking actors. LOve it so much.
