The fel infernals are stunnable by paladin stun, so any paladins who can spare a GCD can stun them while they are channeling that aoe effect and stop it prematurely

Might i add that if the infernals are giving the dpers a problem...they can be stunned, which will stop the channeling and cause them to return to the tank (or whomever is holding aggro)

God, Blizzard sure hit on a jackpot here. Just when you thought heroics halved the content creation team's work load, 10/25/10H/25H just quartered it. I expect the next expansion or 2 to be nothing but just that expansion's arch-boss, in a plain white cube room, with progressively harder versions of himself following up, 20 times over. And that'd be the entire expansion. Just that boss. 20 times.

I have yet to see a valid point there. 1 if you look into the cataclysm leaks, you see plenty of OUTSTANDING things, especially from the lore perspective. 2 so what if you get MORE playtime? Isn't it good, I have yet to see hard modes that cant be enjoyed when done, so I personally enjoy the concept of 20 different versions of the same enounter, since each is different enough that it requires a new strat, and a new encounter in its own right

Gear does make a difference if you know the rotation tho. If a t8 dps has the same rotation as a blue quest item dps then the t8 will be much higher then the blue gear dps

This boss is easy. If you've conquered Ulduar, none of the fights in the colliseum so far should be anything your guild can't handle. By this point Blizzard really is running out of challenges in raid design. Honestly, outside of vehicle gimmicks there really isn't much they haven't thrown at us.

Yogg and all his complexity was nothing in comparison to C'thun during Classic. If your guild has any kind of history, you can take anything WoW has right now. Sadly, this doesn't keep people playing.

i agreee with Nymness 3,2 was designed to get people who are stuck in naxx heroic and green gear to catch up with the rest of raiders who yes put their time into raiding. While i do agree there are ALOT of scrubs just wanting a quick epic their are people who just cant put in the time to get raids done and are stuck behind a wall of raiding gear. This patch solves that problem so yes everyone can compete on par for Arthas which Blizzard said to planing up to 32 bosses in IC.

You really don't understand the difference between casual and scrub, do you? Casual =/= Scrub. A casual, loosely defined, is someone who can only raid approx. 2 nights a week. This is the average for the majority. Take note, majority. That's what Blizzard did with this change. Catered to the majority. You want something difficult? Go play something else then. I'll give the colisseum bosses has an e.g., the new "free epics" 5 man instance and the emblem changes and the new bosses. It's extremely obvious Blizzard is trying to aim WoW at the casual crowd who don't feel like raiding but want the same gear someone who raided 3 times a week for a month and managed to get gear. This is what annoys me, people raid 3 times a week for gear and yet other who barely do heroics get to get the same level gear my simply doing heroics.(1/2)

This is the current problem. You let anyone who hasn't even bothered to put some effort into the game get the "spoils of victory, letting those who put some effort into the game stare how any "casual" player get's the same spoils has he does.

Look at the new colisseum bosses, very easy bosses to down. Ulduar is defently a more chalenging instance than the colisseum one, but should it be that way? Whenever you advance in tier should the dungeons become easier or harder?

The reason for this is because less and less people are able to put into the time and effort to constantly raid harder dungeons. Blizzard wants everyone to be able to compete equally and all experience the final boss of WoTLK, Arthas. If the instances got harder, it would be another Sunwell fail, thus only allowing few avid players to experience KJ.

How is it equal when someone spends 4 nights a week raiding for gear when someone by simply doing a few heroics get's the same gear? Also, you seriously believe those who do not put some efford into raiding will experience the final boss of this expansion? Regardless of gear, players still have to know how to execute the strategies for the raid and play their class well, and that should determine whether or not someone should be in a raid, not how many hours they spent slamming their head against the wall because they couldn't figure out how to switch to the bombs on XT.

I have always agreed with this that gear doesnt = good dps/tanking ability/healing, i've seen people in quest blues hit 3k and people in t8 struggle to hit 2.5k. Just by doing some research on rotations and specs, a guildie of mine rose his dps by 800 without changing a single item.

You are so right! I never knew a good rotation and my gear is above average. Then a new level 80 warlock comes in and pulls 2.8k dps while i'm at 1.7k (I'm and ele shaman) so i knew something wasn't right. Respecced to be more mana effeciant and found a good rotarion and i pulled 2.8k dps in 10 man ToC last night.

Exactly, 80% of dps is down to knowledge :) the rest is gear and/or latency issues.

The fact that a player can't fit the gear on his back doesn't mean this truth still doesn't exist. All DPS is in WoW is numbers.

A theoretical limit exists and based on factors like latency will always equal a result. Everything else is the players inability to do the minimum required to reach a certain number.

If you saw a player in quest blues doing 3k DPS, then EVERY player of that class should be able to hit it. If they don't, they fail at their class. Latency can be a factor. That's it.

This patch is for people like me, I have a geared out tank, a geared out healer and a 79 dpser, I made the dpser to help my guild on certain encounters, but there is no conceivable way for me to catch up to my guild on my dpser in time for icecrown.
