The McRib Sandwich and in Canada they called it the Copped Beef Steak Sandwich. They couldn't call it a Mc"Rib" because it doesn't really have ribs in it.
@timon924 That's what I was told by someone that was in the commercial. The Chopped Beefsteak Sandwich did exist, they had to do 2 different voiceovers for this commericals...one for the US and another for Canada. It was a while ago, im sure things are different now.
@aubreyhart Thanx! Must have been a "down east" thing 'cause we sure never had that name here in Alberta. Anyway, the McRib was majorly gross. Nothing like puree of pig molded into a shape and served slathered in sucrose laden BBQ sauce.

It was film in a rock quarry outside of Los Angeles. Parts of the movie were also filmed there. The Grand Poobah is Dennis Gallegos, now a Commercial Director. MySpace: Screamin Films. One Lodge member is character actor Art Lafleur: IMDB. The actress w/ Rosie is Wynonna Smith. Gallegos recalls it was filmed on a freezing cold night! He had to keep eating ice cubes so you couldn't see his breath. O'donnel was nice enough to let Gallegos keep warm in her Starwagon
awesome commercial!! it was to promote the Flintstone movie coming out w/ Rosie Odonnel and John Goodman back in 1994.And the Grand Poobah is no other than Dennis Gallegos Himself. Great Commercial!!!
