Hortons bringing the stanley cup to my/his home town of dunnville, ontario, canada on sunday june 17th. It'll be the cups first stop on it's world tour. He's using it to help raise some money for the local hospital ($5 donation to take your picture with the cup) and signing autographs. There will also be a parade, and other festivities. The town recently received bad news, that their largest employer is shutting down, hopefully the press from this helps attract new employers to the town
Wideman and our 1st rounder for Horton and Campbell worked out pretty well, eh? Horton was our most clutch player in the playoffs and is a prime example of what a BRUIN truly is (fearless, clutch, physical, etc.). Campbell is, imo, one of the best 4th liners in the NHL, without any question. He can kill penalties, is fearless and will drop the gloves whenever, plays physical, scrappy and can contribute a little bit of offense-13 goals.
They knock out our clutch scorer, what do the Bruins do? Open up a legendary can of whoop ass, and lit up Luongo like Navy SEALs on Bin Laden's face. 12 goals in 2 home games. Wow, man.
This is amazing. So emotional when he was shown with standing ovation and the guys cheering for him. Wonder what the thoughts were through his mind. Amazing. :)

however, there are some people i can't stand, and i talked to canucks fans in boston last night and they feel the same way. burrows is a cheap douchebag. lapierre will embellish any little thing, going back to his canadiens days. the sedin sisters turtle at the first hint of any kind of physical play. vancouver may have all the talent in the world, but they have no heart, and that is why they will lose game 7 and there will be a parade down causeway street this weekend.
kesler and malhotra are both stand-up guys and really get it, it being how to play the game: hard, physical, but respectful. mason raymond is also in that category. unfortunate he got hurt, i didn't see much malice in the play, just an unfortunate circumstance of a physical sport. the horton play, yeah, it was late, and rome left his feet, but if horton was facing him then it's a mostly clean hockey play. all of the guys mentioned in this post are all class acts who really get it.

This gives me the chills. Nathan Horton had no playoff experience, but he emerged as a true hero and team player. From sticking up for his teammates, enforcing physical play, and best of all, scoring 3 game winning goals (2 OT goals against MTL, and the Game 7 winner against TBL) absolutely amazing. The guy is a stand up guy, class act. I hope the Bruins win this Cup for him. This city deserves it, this team deserves, #18 deserves it.
Heard about this entire video montage from people who were at the tame and how NBC didn't do it justice! I was a little misty eyed admitingly just seeing Horton for the brief time that NBC did actually show it and a even once again watching this entire thing! Truly an inspiration among many for the team and fanbase!

however, there are some people i can't stand, and i talked to canucks fans in boston last night and they feel the same way. burrows is a cheap douchebag. lapierre will embellish any little thing, going back to his canadiens days. the sedin sisters turtle at the first hint of any kind of physical play. vancouver may have all the talent in the world, but they have no heart, and that is why they will lose game 7 and there will be a parade down causeway street this weekend.

kesler and malhotra are both stand-up guys and really get it, it being how to play the game: hard, physical, but respectful. mason raymond is also in that category. unfortunate he got hurt, i didn't see much malice in the play, just an unfortunate circumstance of a physical sport. the horton play, yeah, it was late, and rome left his feet, but if horton was facing him then it's a mostly clean hockey play. all of the guys mentioned in this post are all class acts who really get it.

This gives me the chills. Nathan Horton had no playoff experience, but he emerged as a true hero and team player. From sticking up for his teammates, enforcing physical play, and best of all, scoring 3 game winning goals (2 OT goals against MTL, and the Game 7 winner against TBL) absolutely amazing. The guy is a stand up guy, class act. I hope the Bruins win this Cup for him. This city deserves it, this team deserves, #18 deserves it.

Heard about this entire video montage from people who were at the tame and how NBC didn't do it justice! I was a little misty eyed admitingly just seeing Horton for the brief time that NBC did actually show it and a even once again watching this entire thing! Truly an inspiration among many for the team and fanbase!
