  • Bravo Dude.

Been meaning to record this one for the tube myself . . one day soon I hope.

So difficult to play it through without mishap.

    Encore!!

  • such a beautiful piece

  • is this played in standard tunning?

  • excellent

  • you are playing the choro part amizingly but I think you should play the first part ( the part before the choro) with stronger bass sound and more slowly -but Bravo man you are veary good.

  • I really enjoyed this piece, played beautifully. Somehow I have overlooked this Barrios piece, so it's been a great to discover something so wonderful.

  • This is the best version of all!

  • just beautiful; thank you!

  • This is a really thoughtful interpretation of one of the absolute gems of the guitar repertoire. I guess you're an amateur but it only shows occasionally. I appreciate the way you slow down the third section - it's better to get all the notes than to collapse under the weight of some really difficult left hand fingering. A lot of people don't realize just how hard it is to ply a piece as long and as difficult as this one in front of a camera without making a mistake. Well done.

  • @douglas12386

thank you for your genuine comment.

    Modesto

  • Great skill

  • Beautiful music, lovely interpretation.

  • A beleza existe e eu acho que ela comparece na música

  • where did you get the tab??? PLEASE HELP!

  • @Heineken1712 tab my ass, you gotta get the notes to play this

  • @fiddleswith shut up bitch

  • @Heineken1712 lol calm down, i'm just saying that without notes you can't learn this song, coz of the timing and stuff

  • Excellent interpretation.

  • mi sono accorto dopo che sei italiano pure te! vabbè, pazienza... ciao ciao

  • @ganzjohn

    ;-)

    Grazie !

  • I really think you did an awesome job! You played in perfect timing and perfect technical execution, and in the contemporary respecting the dynamic of the piece. A worthy of the great scene exhibition!

forgot my awful english - greetings from italy - gionata

  • Beautifull. A difficult piece very well played. Love this piece too. Thanks

  • the best choro de saudabe, a masterpiece, possibly barrios' greatest piece

  • Great sound and very musical playing!

  • Very musical playing. Very brave of you to play without nails!

  • @bzeliotis

hi, how could you tell he plays without nails? i'm just a beginner, but i've got a hell of time with my nails as they are too fragile and keep on breaking all the time. maybe i should learn to play without them..i'm thankful for any piece of advice.

  • @piquedard

    Infact I play with nails....

  • @blndgtarst thanks for your frank and honest answer! actually i could see your thumb and i had no doubts about that: it has nail!

anyway, you are a maestro as for me!

  • @blndgtarst

I was wrong then! Your sound is good it reminded me of one playing with no nails.

  • @bzeliotis

I have tried several times to play without nails, but, unfortunately a very bad and thin sound comes without nails and it is very difficult to play .

  • @blndgtarst

I found that on the one hand flesh only improved my RH technique, because it's easier to play with nails, but on the other hand when I played in concert, because of the adrenalin rush you get my fingers would sweat and so the flesh sound was damp and unpredictable. With nails my RH sound is much more secure and consistent. The only problem is when a nail splinters . That's why i don't have my nails too long and very occasionaly I'll rub the nails with olive or almond oil.

  • @piquedard

It was just a guess, based on his sound.

There are players today who do play without nails. In fact both Tarrega and Sor played without nails! Grow the nails only up to the point where they support the flesh. The advantage is that your sound will be mellow and sweet but the disadvantage is that you'll have a smaller palette of sound colours because the nails can produce well defined sounds.

  • @bzeliotis

great answers! thank you! i''ll try the "trick". i'm happy i wrote to you and may life be good to you!

  • @piquedard reply 2

One trick is to place a,m,i fingers on the E, B,G strings as if you're about to play an arpeggio and squeeze the strings hard till the strings leave a groove on the flesh under the nails. Then file the nails in line with that indent. Finally round off the edges. The aim should be for all fingers to make the same sound when they strike the same string. There's no gospel on any of this of course.

  • Excelente!!!!From Brazil!!!!

  • Extremely impressive.

  • Great job, anyone who has played Barrios knows how hard it is, you made it look easy

  • hellzes to the yeah

  • you are a wonderful guitarist and i think you are also using a wonderful guitar...i wish i could afford one! the tone is just amazing. i bet it lends itself to jazz, bossa nova...

  • @eddypfunk why not learning to build one? :) i´m going to my guitar crafting class right now, I love it, and I highly recommend it, best wishes. Facundo (arg)

  • lei e un chitarrista del' anima, e secondo me, suona con il cuore.

    bravissimo

  • very nice interpretation..so many wreck beautiful pieces on youtube...very good musicality and expression....and this piece is one of my faves also :)

  • Good playing , you have to take the Re# or Mi b on the second mouvement , i think we don `thave to change the original note of Barrios.this is not a transcription.

  • i mean on the 6th string.

  • Augustin Barrios Mangore is one of my favortie composers of classical guitar. The of his work I hear the more I love him.

Excellent playing by the way, youve got talent! :)

  • Great guitarplaying blndgtarst, what guitar and model are you using?

  • I think it 's a jose ramirez guitar. maybe it sounds so nice.

  • excellent my favorite classic song 5*

  • Thank you. I like your interpretation. I also like the sound of your guitar a lot, which sounds similar to mine (Antonio Raya Pardo). Bravo!

  • I agree on the second part no dynamics

  • Good effort. I'm working on this now and I need to study some of your positions... :)

  • You're right " cjbsexx" he cheated.

But I don't know why he did it? He's really talented and his technique is quite good.

  • you can really make that guitar sing! This is a beautiful performance!

  • one of my favourites

  • good my friend

is very hard be a great classical guitar

guitar is very hard to play well

    I know, I play guitar

    congratulations

  • applause!!!!!!

  • Modesto De Renzio.

  • Good, but you cheated at 1:41 ;)

  • nice song played buy good guitarist but i dont understand. Where he ''cheated''?

  • At 1:41 there's a very difficult strech, where you're supposed to play the chord he plays, with a Eb bass note.

    He didn't play it.

(Eb is the 1st note on the biggest string)

  • I saw in concert the French guitarist Arnaud Dumont (brisemenu on YouTube) playing this difficult note with the chin!

    Bravo blndgtarst.

  • many guitarists don't actually play this note- they play it an octave higher (because it's really hard). It's his choice whether to play it or not. I don't think you should keep on pester people about their method of playing.

  • The score I learned gives a double choice, and I decided to play that particolar passage an octave higher (following the score) because my left hand is very very small and there no way to stretch it more. I would not have played this piece at all if I did not find this score with the alternative choice.

  • @cjbsexx actually E is the 1st note on the biggest string-please post your video of this song and show us how the stretch is done

  • @cjbsexx i meant D-enough with the classical snobbery already! i have learned so much from watching blndgtrst videos..thanks for the excellent resource!!

  • EXELENTE!!!

  • Thank you 。Bravo!

  • Sweetness!

blndgtarst, you must be blond, 'cuz you're not blind and you're certainly not bland.

  • @93N39 not funny.

  • I love this song too! Thanks for doing such a good job at playing this piece - your playing is wonderful

  • Muy buena interpretacion!

  • nice job

  • Awesome performance !

  • Excellent, Bravo

  • this is a VERY good rendition.

  • esto es simplemente hermoso

  • Excelent sound and tone, and your playing is flawless here. Very well done. An inspiration to Classical guitarists like myself.

  • Very impressive and great sound too! Thanks!

  • la verdad que esta demasiado bien

  • Very nice. I see you also flee away from the worst stretch grips. I have solved the problem by using 'thumb over', it works well and doesn't require this painfull index deformation.

    Hans

  • Wonderfull, very good interpretation.

    Thanks.

  • Simplemente maravilloso. Naudo Rodrigues.

  • Congratulations, I like your interpretation a lot, very nice.
